Cake Town Orders--No Phone Orders 9/16/2007

I would have loved to have tasted one of their signature cakes, but unfortunetly this won't happen. My son received a coupon from Johnny's Toy Birthday club for cakes but they don't take orders over the phone. The coupon states "To Order, Call..." but when I called they said not orders over the phone because of a deposit that needs to be put down. I thought this was the 21st century but I guess not in Hyde Park at Buskens. They do not take credit cards over the phone. Since I live about 45 minutes away I was not going to make two trips for the order. Oh well. Maybe next year they can get up with the "Information Technology Era". more

Best Bakery in Cincinnati 4/17/2006

I absolutely love Busken Bakery. Okay, so I have a huge sweet tooth, but ever since I tried the pastries at Busken I won't go anywhere else. Their sweets are always fresh and if you go to the Hyde Park location, you can get your favorites and any time of the day or night, since it's conveniently open 24 hours. more

Busken Bakery 9/1/2005

I happen to live close to the Hyde Park Busken which is the distribution center and is open 24 hours. Everything there is always quite fresh. Busken is a full-service bakery with special desserts, wedding cakes, donuts, coffee, pastries. Their foods are quite tastey albeit a little pricey. They have adorable seasonal cookies (even for tax season!) which are OK...but somehow addictive. more

Donuts will put rolls on you but who cares 8/17/2005

Buskens Bakery has been a family favorite for a long time now. Every time my dad comes from Chicago he insists on going out to Buskens to let the kids pick out donuts. Most of the donuts are fairly decadent so health conscious people should stay well clear. However, you will not find better donuts or pastries anywhere. Of course, they realize this as well and price everything accordingly. Everything is always fresh and mouth watering so it doesn't matter what pasty you chose -- you will like it. Depending on the morning you may need to wait in line but it is definitely worth the wait. more
