went to this resturant 2 days back. Other than excellent customer service nothing to talk about. WHile they have an exhuastive menu, the food is not tasty and does not taste what they say it is! more

There food is absolutely delicious. If you never tried Indian food and would like to try, go to their buffet, they have a wide variety of wonderful treats. Pros: service, food, atmosphere more

Don't get scared off with the low LUNCH time ratings. It's true, the buffet has a lot to be desired, but it's DINNER time when this restaurant truely shines. Over the past year, my wife and I have tried over 30 Indian restaurants in San Jose & Santa Clara and have found NOTHING better. So much so that we've spent almost $500.00 eating from this restaurant!! The Chicken Vindaloo is our favorite and enough is given to feed two (if you get an extra order of rice or nan). We visited the restaurant as a group of 14 people for lunch. The food for Indian food was pretty bland. The spices and flavors were just not standing out. The vegetarian dishes were lacking in taste. The buffet had no moghlai dishes or some of the creamier offerings. The pakodas were probably triple fried and the rice dishes did not taste as good as they looked. We found ourselves inside tandoor's neo-indian decor, tucked away inside a small strip mall on a sunny friday afternoon. The buffet turned out to be a huge dissapointment, both in range and in taste. The vegetable fritters seemed stale and refried. The main vegetable dishes were bland and flat. The meat dishes seemed uncooked and hastily put together. The only silver lining was the unleavened bread, which was as nimble as it was fresh. However, even that came in such ridiculously small portions While service was unspectacularly attentive, the manager wanted to charge a 15 % gratuity even for the buffet. Service was good and the food was delish. One exeption was the fish, which did not taste very fresh. While the sun was setting it was not very comfortable to sit facing the window eventhough the windows were tinted. Something to fix this problem would be a good investment for the restaraunt, especialy if it will match already existing decor and overall nice ambiance. more

Been going to Tandoor for about 2 months now on regular basis. They did a great job at catering food for my party. Very professional people. Dine-In experience is awesome. Great piano music. more

Tandoor is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in town. Great food and great service at a reasonable price. Excellent bar. Will go back. more
