Ridge is right around the corner and so convenient. They are so professional and hassle-free especially with two dogs to get groomed. My ""schnoodles"" always look great and even though it is somewhat stressful to them to get groomed, they are just fine when I pick them up. Great place! more

I dropped my pug off earlier today to get a full grooming and teeth cleaning ($48). I called in the morning and they were able fit me into their schedule the same day so I dropped him off at 1pm and picked him up at 2:30pm. When I picked him up I noticed he was nervous, skittish and was flinching when I tried to pick him up. He has never had a problem with being washed or groomed so I found this behavior to be peculiar. I noticed a yellowish, brown powder on his back left foot but didn't think too much about it at the time. Upon bringing him home, I set him down onto the ground and as he was walking there was a trail of BLOODY PAW PRINTS on my hardwood floor. Upon closer inspection, I saw that his second nail was bleeding from having been cut too short. Not only am I extremely angry that they cut his nail too short to the point IT IS STILL BLEEDING, they FAILED TO MENTION this to me when I picked him up. Seriously? It didn't occur to them to apologize for their error and to immediately notify me of his injury? Instead, they eagerly accepted my payment without saying a single word. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. more

I could just say ditto to all the other great reviews. But that would not ""cut"" it for saying how I really have no qualms about leaving our sweet poodle Nicholas there. Susan definitely is working in the place God wants her to be, as she shows genuine concern for both Nicholas, me (his sister), and my mom who is unable to bring Nicholas in any more due to poor health. Susan always asks about the whole family. She listens to find out exactly what we want for Nicholas. We always tell him how handsome he looks and smells when I bring home. My husband jokingly calls him Francois and Nicholas loves it-he knows he looks good! Pros: Susan is great w/people and dogs Cons: ? more

My wife's family has used Ridge Dog Shop for many years and it was only natural that we would also use them for our beloved poodles. The outstanding experience begins with Susan and Tracy who not only listen intently to instructions but also constantly show that they have a special heart and love for dogs. As an onwer they also make me feel special and I sincerely believe that feeling transcends to our dogs.\r \r My wife refers to the Ridge Dog Shop experience as the ""doggie day spa"" and that must be something of what it is like. Our poodles always look great and are groomed to our specifications. Poodles are a special breed that requires regular grooming which really becomes a part of their lives. In this sense, the folks at Ridge Dog Shop seem like a part of our family in that I do not worry about our dogs when I drop them off with Susan or Tracy.\r \r From an owner that is extremely particular about how my dogs are treated, no one could ever find another dog shop that outshines Ridge! My rescue dog Lexie was anxious and shy, and she must have had a really bad experience getting her nails trimmed and being groomed. The first time in the door she was shaking and trembling and I almost didn't want to leave her. Susan was so reassuring and asked what made her feel better (answer: treats, petting) and she fed her treats and petted her and talked to her for several minutes before she took her back. Now Lexie sprints right in to see Susan and the staff, tail wagging with her paws up on the short counter. And I have a second dog and both of them feel the same way -- it's a treat for them. Our family's dogs have gone to Ridge Dog Shop for grooming for as long as I can remember. What it really boils down to for me is trust: When I leave my little girl in the hands of other people, can I be sure she's going to be safe and well-cared for? The answer is always an unequivocal yes. It's hard to put a price on that kind of trust. The Ridge Dog Shop ""experience"" starts before you get there, usually with an appointment reminder call from Susan, who is a delight. To me, she is ""the face"" of the enterprise and you know from the moment you meet her that she is all about your dog. The groomers are knowledgeable and get to know your dog and all of his or her quirks. When my beloved first dog got sick, they knew something was wrong and encouraged me to get a second opinion from a different vet. After he died, I got a wonderful card signed by everyone--that's something you never forget. Rosie always comes back to me looking and feeling great, and she's always happy to see her friends at the dog shop when we go. I have been doing business with Ridge Dog Shop since I was a little girl. Ridge Dog Shop has always treated my animals very gentle, and they do not shake when i leave. All of my requests are met to my expectations. I can honestly say that the staff at Ridge Dog Shop has their heart in their jobs. There have been many times when I am shopping at PetSmart and witnessed the workers that were grooming the dogs became rough, and jerked the animals. I honestly feel that my animals are just as important as children, and I will only take them to the best groomer, the best vet, and they eat the best food. That is why I am writing this review, because I feel that the Ridge Dog Shop is well worth taking your babies for their special treatment. I took my 100lb airedale there for 8 years and she loved to go! I now take my small rescue and they are great with her. Susan is one in a million and I know my dog will be safe and cared for while there. Also, the shop always looks clean. Pros: Friendlly, handles special needs more

I have two dogs and each time I take them to Ridge Dog Shop they are excited to go into the shop. Unlike when I take them to our VETS, they are scared to death. So knowing that they get excited about RDS, tells me they are happy with the people and the experience that they get there. If they are happy, so am I. Also, it is very nice to walk into the shop and be greeted by Susan with an up beat attitude and a nice smile. \r I have taken all my dogs to Ridge Dog Shop and they have all loved it. I have been taking my dogs to Ridge Dog Shop for many years. Susan, at the front desk, is the absolute best. Her love for all her ""clients"" is evident. I like it that my dogs get the same groomers each visit so they are very aware of how I like my dogs to look. This past January,one of my dogs had to have ACL surgery and the staff could not have been more kind. Susan found a spot in the schedule for my dog to come in and get cleaned up before his surgery. She also groomed my other dog on the day of the surgery so that he wouldn't have to be alone at home. She called us several times to check on my dog's recuperation. They were very gentle with him when he could come for his 1st grooming after surgery. I would never take my dogs anywhere else. I love getting my dogs groomed there! They always look so good and smell gret when they get home and are so happy. They play and play and look like they have lost 10 pounds and I bet they have- all dead hair!\r We have been taking our TWO Shetland Sheep dogs there and would never take them anywhere else. Went to Ridge Dog Shop for the first time. Susan at the front desk went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and to understand my requests. Their groomers did a spectacular job.
