Miltons Pizza & Pasta

How hard can it be? I ordered angel hair with marinara sauce. It came swimming in water. I asked to have it drained. It came back exactly the same. I asked again to have it drained. It came back again no change, only this time a manager brought it. I gave up, just leave it. She left it and came back with a huge bowl of pasta, and a bowl of sauce and explained that the water obviously wasn't from the pasta, it was the sauce. Oh now I get it, the sauce is watery! And this made it ok, because the sauce was watery. How about this - try cooking it longer! Just a thought. I would order a pizza, or baked dish - just stay away from the pasta unless you like a lot of water in your dish that they can't get rid of. more

Milton's is a great place for lunch or dinner. Excellent value always. more

We moved to Raleigh 26 years ago, and shortly thereafter, we discovered Milton's Pizza and Pasta on Six Forks Road, in North Raleigh. We have been going there at least once a week for those 26 years. My family and I have been eating at Milton's since it opened. When our sons lived at home, it was Milton's take-out pizza every weekend. Now my husband and I eat there several times a month enjoying Milton's pasta dishes as well as their pizza. We have never had any bad food. Patty, the wait staff, and the chefs are friendly, polite, and attentive. We never go anywhere else when we want Italian! more

Milton's is as far as I am concerned if not the best certainly one of the best. No Milton's is the best. The best hostess, owners, wait staff, chef's, food. We've been eating here since BEFORE we moved to NC 14 years ago - always had a dinner out at the Six Forks location when we visited. It's our favorite restaurant and the Wakefield location has followed in the Six Forks locations steps. The food is consistently great, with good sized portions and always served with a smile. The wait staff is always friendly; even on the busiest nights, you will get several ""hellos"" just walking in the place. These restaurants are very community-minded, hosting various fundraisers throughout the year. And its nice to see a privately-owned restaurant down here that's not overpriced. more

We've been eating at Milton's most every Sunday for the past few years. Not to mention several times a month for the past 18 or so years. The pizza and the employees are great. Once you have been going there a few times they get to know you and can almost tell what you want to eat and drink before you know yourself. A great place to eat and they care about their community and their customers. It's kind of like having a pizza joint in your family. I suggest you try it, you'll like it! Only thing I wish they had is DELIVERY so I could eat their pizza more often without leaving home! more

We eat at Miltons very often and have been doing so for many years. We have yet to have an unpleasant experience at this resteraunt. I really have nothing to say other than great things about this resteraunt, it's staff , and it's management. First place I recomend to friends and family. Keep it up!!! I love all the 1 star reviews; like we can't tell it's the same bitter person by the writing style....way to take your grudge to the extreme - you show 'em! We went in on a Saturday for lunch after a morning at the next door Border's books. There was a buffet. I had a hunger headache and really wanted to eat asap, so that worked out well. For buffet pizza, I gotta say not bad! Beats CiCi's for sure. Even the wings were crispy and hot. Pasta was just sort of so-so. (although I did detect a hint of white wine in the Alfredo sauce) Salad bar was solidly standard. The place wasn't spotless, but it wasn't filthy either. Service was neither great nor poor. Wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi products. All told - I'd go back. Nice for families. Might pass fpr a cheap date place in the evenings. I had to ask the employees to clean up the restaurant area.It was the only way to get seated. The hostess saw dirty floor and table. Not want to do anything about it. I eat out often and I just have to say that my favorite place to eat is at Miltons. Their prices are very reasonable (especially with the economy the way it is), their staff is always friendly to me and my husband, and the place is always so clean. When we get the buffet at lunch we request a special pizza and they are more than happy to make it for us. They also have an awesome salad bar with tons and tons of items on it. I have decided not to go back. I do not miss it. There are many other restaurants in Raleigh. Get better service and cleaner restaurants. Left because the management does not like complaints. And continually bad service. Female tables get bad service continually. And males at the restaurant get better service. And management nicer to the male guests than the females. To the person who can't use proper grammer and capitalization throughout their reviews (each with a different name, clever like we can't tell it's the same person everytime!) stop eating at Milton's if you hate it so much. I, a former employee at Milton's remember you and I used to hate seeing you walk in and order crazy things that aren't on the menu, then you request different servers each time you came in and tortured them and even wrote the owner letters in your chicken scratch childish grammer to complain about how horrible everyone was, but yet we still continued to see you every week. I even worked part-time at another restaurant and saw you walk in and warned all the servers about you. Of course you still ordered something not on the menu and failed to leave a tip. I'm not sure if you are aware of this but when you go to a restaurant, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE A TIP. Servers bust their asses off for that measly dollar we sometimes get. As for the girl who needs money for college, leave her alone, at least she's working hard for an education. Trust me, people like you make our days miserable. I no longer work at Milton's but I remember you very well, and still have friends who work there who tell me the crazy stories about you, it's hilarious, you may hate them but they hate you too. There are four waitresses. They expect tips from customers they are rude to. Shay is only nice to male customers. She rushes to get rid of female customers. Walks away from them while waiting on them. In the middle of. Not come back. She gives nicer treatments to male and children customers. And expects tips from customers she is rude to. Kelly a white young female. She is rude to female tables. Walks away from them without explination in the middle of the meal. And not come back. The restaurant is not busy at all. And expects a tip. She is nicer to male and children customers. An African American female young waitress. She in a way asks female customers for money. She tells them she needs more money for school. Is from Rhode Island. Working her way through college. She is rude to tables with females only. Not spend much time with them. Talks back rude. There is a female waitress with a husband ,truck driver. She is only nice to male customers. She talks back rude to female customers. Rushes to get rid of them. And she will not do much for them.
