I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. I had pain radiating down my right thigh and knee area. I had been suffering with this pain off and on for about a year, but in November 2010 my pain was excruciating. I had pain all the time. It was so severe that I could not sit without pain, stand, stand up straight, or walk for more than 100 steps without shooting pain. Nothing helped relieve the pain, not even aspirin. I was very irritable to everyone around me. My family was very concerned. I tried physical therapy with very minor improvements. Ibuprofen prescribed by my Doctor, helped a little. (I tried not to take the Ibuprofen, due to the side effects to my stomach and liver). I knew I did not want surgery, but I was feeling frustrated and depressed. I wasn?t sure just what to do. I was beginning to give up hope of ever going places or doing things I love to do. I was taking my dog for some laser therapy for his osteoarthritis and I figured if it worked for him, why not me. I saw the ad for the center and decided to give it a try. I?m glad I did and I thank my dog for the idea. Since my VAX-D and Laser treatment, I no longer have the pain that I used to. I am taking long walks with my dog. I am enjoying going to the zoo with my grandson, baseball games (Giants-of course), and many other events. We are planning a trip to San Diego to visit family and friends. I can sit and can walk without pain. Most of all I can smile and enjoy my life again. Dr. Jeff is great! He always checks on me and makes sure that everything is going well with me. He is funny and energetic, which gives me a chuckle and relaxes me if I?m nervous. He knows his work and explains things thoroughly so you can understand it. All the staff at Advanced Health Center really care and will do all they can to help you. This treatment is cheaper than surgery and worth it, since I can be pain free or even 99% pain free for the rest of my life. The cost is nothing! There is one side effect though ? a big Smile! more

I had a slip and fall accident. From that fall, I was experiencing pain in my right knee, lower back, upper back and my neck. I also had a continuous headache since the accident. more

I came to Advanced Health Center for the treatment of chronic migraines. This is something I have been dealing with for the past 30 + years. Before coming to Advanced Health Center (AHC) I sought traditional medical care to treat the headaches. None of the medications that were prescribed were ever effective. I have also tried things like biofeedback and a mouth guard (I was told that I grind my teeth and that this might be causing my headache). When I first made the decision to come to AHC, I was skeptical but hopeful since I had never been to a chiropractor before. Since being treated, I have noticed a 100% improvement in my health. My headaches have been reduced dramatically and as a result of this, I am sleeping better, am more productive, happy both at work and at home. I no longer need to buy the extra large size bottle of Advil. The staff at AHC is very professional and friendly and immediately made me feel comfortable about the treatments. I am a 56 year old woman, mother of 4 boys, who has spent parts of her life with the challenge of pain and muscle spasms from a spinal curvature (most likely from an accident) since about the age of 10. I have seen chiropractors at least once a month since I was 12, receiving great but often temporary help. This was life, I have always been very active, I practiced yoga which I was only able to do very little with as my body would reject it and I would have to start over again each time. I became a body therapist and learned more ways to help my body to support it?s self, along with helping others. Life was great and I planned on living to a ripe old age... until about a year and a half ago, when I further injured my back. I ruptured some disks in the lower vertebrae and put a larger curve in my spine. I was in bed for most of the first 6 to 8 months, unable to get up without becoming sick to my stomach or passing out. I began getting acupuncture treatments which helped quite a bit, but was not able to completely heal. What was happening was that the spine was still compromised, keeping the bones from healing and pinching nerves. I could not walk, sit, eat, or lay down without excruciating pain. I did not want to be touched (which I love), even by me, as I hurt everywhere, and I could not think clearly any more, everything seemed to be shutting down. I tried to stay positive, but it was so hard, as I began to lose patience with everything. I began to no longer have the desire to live that long life I had wanted, as it was hard to imagine it being possible. I was very clear from the start that I would not do surgery. My loving husband Sergio, knowing this, began searching for a cure for me. In doing so, he found articles on the Vax-D and Laser Therapy at the Advanced Healing Center. The boys and Sergio had a pow-wow and we began the next part of my journey. We signed me up for the two months of the program. I believe that if I were to assess my pain a level from one to ten, I would have to say that it was often a 12 to 15 before I started the therapy. The first couple of weeks were hard and a lot of work. My body would go into chills and spasms, and I would sleep through most of the day and night. During this time Sergio and the boys took turns watching over and caring for me, with a lot of love and encouragement. The doctors, therapist and staff at the center are all so caring and patient, which helped to make it through the first few weeks. Nearing the end of the therapy, I had assessed my pain in some areas to be down to 0, and in others about 4. Knowing that I had just invested a lot of time, energy and money into the rest of my life, and that I had gotten this far, we decided to go another round. I have 2 more Vax-D sessions left at this point and I am my pain level is down 0 most of the time, the worst being at 1 or 2. I am still working with the doctors doing exercises every day, and table work several days a week for a while longer. I am eating a proper diet of proteins and carbs three meals a day to support my healing. I?m making sure that I still let my body rest, as it is doing a lot of work in its healing process. I am now walking several hours a day without pain, sleeping through the nights, able to sit for a short time without my body getting tired or sore, and my mind is working again. Wow! If you ask me, yes, the time and cost are very difficult, but I want to live my life again. What is that worth? Thanks to my family, and to the doctors and crew!! Marggie more

Pros: very scientific and accurate more

About three months ago I was in a car accident and was badly injured on my lower back, middle back, and neck area. It was very hard for me to sit and walk and I was in tears when I had to drive. I found the Advanced health center over the internet and was amazed at the welcoming environment of this center. All the staff were kind, attentive, and sensitive and provided me with emotional support, positive regard, and a practical treatment plan specifically tailored to my needs. It was very helpful that they took the time to educate me about their approach and guided me step by step through the process. I was amazed at the effectiveness and efficiency of the treatments that I was receiving, as every day, I was experiencing pain relief and an increase in my level of functioning in different areas of my life. I had more energy and felt happier! After receiving treatment about three months, I am free of the excruciating pain and am able to do all the fun activities that I used to do before my accident. I am immensely grateful to all the staff and the wonderful chiropractors who gave back to me the happiness I had lost to the accident! more

I agree, very very shady. After a week there, I feel like I've been had. They run their clinic like a scientology office--you can't escape it, its everywhere. The case manager, who is very strange, does your entire consult and even prescribes treatment. You get very little time with the chiropractor. Now, after the fact, it's apparent the case manager is there to act as a sales person. He makes promises that he can't and shouldn't be and suggested I pay everything up front and commit to 3 months of treatment 3 times a week. One other person here wrote that they were charged $55? For me, an adjustment was $80. I have nothing against scientology. In fact, I even own Ron Hubbards book and it's on my to read list. I think saunas, exercise and a pharmaceutical free lifestyle are integral to a healthy lifestyle. What I have a problem with is the $7000 you need to fork out in the beginning to undergo their ""treatments"". This is also the way they run their practise. They are business people first and health practitioners second. I spent almost $500 for the initial consult which lasted less than an hour. The other hour was spent sitting there listening to a sales pitch. He was very convincing so he does that part of his job well. What infuriates me more is that after 4 treatments, I have felt a little bit worse after each treatment and after the last one, I woke up with a locked spine and a muscle spasm on my left side. I went to my regular chiropractor and he was able to adjust me so that I felt immediate relief. Never have I had an adjustment where I felt worse after. I suggest all stay far far away from this place. He also only uses the activator and does not maually adjust you. The clinic is like a complete joke. Pros: one of the receptionist is nice Cons: wait for forever for an appointment, assembly line approach, always trying to sell me more services each time I'm there more

My family chiropractor called to ask for my x-rays. Erik, the case manager said that they had lost them and could not find them. However, just to see if they truly had lost them, I made an appointment and asked Dr. Coyle to see my xrays once again. He brought them out. They also oversell everything. Case manager handles everything including your consult, xrays, etc. You only see Dr. Coyle for 2 minutes as he adjusts you and then disappears. I have never been able to ask him a question. That's why I went back to my family chiropractor. Cons: hours, sales pitch, overpriced, no integrity, takes too many xrays and then charges almost $500 for them and doesn't share them to other chiros. more
