A great place 1/26/2011

Myo Massage is the perfect blend of all that a massage experience can be. Sessions are tailored to your preferences of music, lotion, pressure and type of massage. The rooms are dim, clean, well appointed for the needs of therapist and customer, and the price more than competes with other day spas. My masseur, Deborah, was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. A wonderful experience. I can harly wait for next time. Highly recommended. more

Myo Massage, sports injuries and GINA!!!! 8/16/2010

I highly recommend Myo Massage in general and Gina in particular. With Gina's highly skilled deep tissue/sports massages chronic pain in my hips disappeared. She also corrected IT band syndrome and realigned my feet. WOW!!! All that in about 6 massages! I have only had highly professional and relaxed experiences at Myo. I primarily went to Gina, but in a pinch I once saw Jacqueline who was just as excellent. Myo totally converted me from a skeptic of massage as a route to healing into a believer. more

Depends on who you see! 9/22/2009

I usually see the same person for massages and have been happy, but when I wanted to squeeze in a massage and had to book with another massage therapist, my experience was not as good. This therapist was not really rude, but really didn't make an effort to be warm and inviting. At the end of the massage she just left without indicating this was the end of the session or say good bye or thank you for coming and she wasn't waiting outside for me either. I didn't see her after that. I regret the tip I left! A few days later I saw lots of bruising on my hips and legs, which I guess can happen with deep tissue massage, but that's never happened to me before and I've had other deep tissue massages. I did call to complain but was given a $15 credit for another massage, which now that I think about it is nothing. I wish I could have gotten my money back. I save up for occasional massages and felt like this was a waste. I won't be back. Pros: central location, clean quiet rooms Cons: expensive, quality of massage depends on who you get! more

BEST Massage in Town 5/3/2009

I have been to Myo several times over the last two years and can confidently say that their staff of therapists is top notch. I'm always met with a kind, knowledgeable intake. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the music is great; I love that I can relax to The Beatles or Iron & Wine instead of listening to wales mating. I have never left without the feeling that my therapist must have a doctorate in magic. They have expert knowledge in lymph nodes (I'm convinced they've successfully been able to ward off the flu more than once), skeletal structure (I'll never go to a chiropractor again! I have poor posture from computer work, and the therapists at Myo have ninja skills when it comes to straightening me up.), and the muscular system (I have poor flexibility, and the therapist was able to tell me without question which of my muscles were tight, and work them out so that I'm as flexible after a massage as I am after an hour of Bikram yoga :) just to name a few. I'm sure they have many more skills that I have yet to experience, and I always look forward to my next visit. Booking appointments is easy, and the reception always provides exceptional customer service. (I've purchased massage oils there too, which are fantastic.) I drive all the way from Round Rock and I highly recommend them! Pros: great customer service, extraordinary therapists more

Awesome massage..well worth the $$$ 4/18/2009

AMAZING massage! I admit I'm a bit of a massage "junky"..I even enjoy the $12 dollar massage at the mall and who doesen't enjoy the massage chairs at the outlet malls? MYO was on a different level..I have never had a theraputic massage like the "myo" it was great. I still feel great weekes after. *nice and cozy rooms..great super friendly staff..and tons of parking in the garage. Pros: Great staff..awesome massage Cons: n/a more

Deborah is awesome! 4/1/2009

Deborah Marasco is the best massage therapist I have ever had. I've had many massages from several different people, and she is by far the best. She knows what she is doing and always listens to you and where you need help. Debbie is amazing and I truly recommend her to everyone! Pros: Best massage I've ever had. Cons: none more

No frills but great massage 1/25/2009

My boyfriend and I went to Myo after reading the great reviews online. There isn't anything fancy about this business, but if you are only concerned with getting a good massage it's a great place to go. I got a good swedish massage but still have two complaints- My therapist didn't address my TMJ, as others have in the past, and the massage bed was quite squeaky, so it was extremely hard for me to just listen to the music and relax. My boyfriend had a combination of reflexology and structural bodywork and raved about his experience. Pros: competitive price, accessible location Cons: lacking the usual spa amenities more

Great massage, helped cure RSI problems 1/9/2009

A few years ago I was having serious pain in my arms and hands from too much typing, and after having little or no success with acupuncture, I decided to try massage. A friend referred me to Adelyn, and she worked wonders! The massages helped undo the damage caused by the keyboard, and she also counseled me on how to improve my work habits and avoid further damage. Eventually we got things under control and I was able to stop going. I've been happy and pain-free ever since, and I can't thank Adelyn enough. I have recommended her to some of my closest friends, and would again. more

Great Massage experience 12/2/2008

MYO was a great massage experience! They asked for information on the type massage you are after, and delivered. The atmosphere is tasteful and quiet, the music choices are individual for your massage, and the facility is clean. Parking is right in front. There are showers for your use, but no steam room or sauna that is provided... bummer - that's why they didn't get a 5 star from me. more

Wonderful experience every time. 11/2/2008

I have visited Myo Massage maybe four times now, each time with a different therapist and each time a great experience. The atmosphere is unpretentious, which I appreciate. Fancy day spas make me feel like I am supposed to be wealthy to enjoy the benefits of massage therapy. I enjoy massage because it feels good and also because of what I perceive as the noticeable health benefits. Myo provides a very calming environment without all the hype of over priced day spas. But what's more is every therapist I have worked with has been excellent. They listen carefully to what I am looking for that day, whether it is general stress relief, to work on a crick in my neck, or recurring pain in my upper back, and tailor the massage to my needs. I tend to prefer swedish style massage. At Myo they follow this preference, but also work in other innovative techniques - that I don't have the expertise to name - to cater to my specific physical needs. I always feel like I am in good hands at Myo. Pros: excellent massage, calming atmosphere Cons: I can't think of any. more

Not Massage - Bodywork 10/15/2008

I went to try Myo because of the reviews, and I was pleased. I typically go to a day spa, but it has a high turnover rate due to its prices, and I get tired of always having to switch therapists. Myo was not what I was expecting. It does not aim for the posh, indulgent atmosphere of a day spa, which I kind of missed. Like they say, it is more of a bodywork center. There are no fancy locker rooms, etc., or people wandering all about in robes, like I am used to. You undress/change in the room where you receive the massage, before the therapist enters. One of the cool things, though, is the opportunity to select your own music during treatment. It may sound like a small thing, but I thought it was really neat, particuarly since ocean waves and new age music don't really relax me. I had a 90 min. massage with Gina to address some tightness in my shoulder and knee from playing tennis. It was not a simple massage, but rather a very therapeutic form of treatment - she really focused on the problem areas, instead of just giving them 10 minutes and moving on. It was sometimes painful, but necessary. Gina was very nice and stayed in communication with me throughout. She explained the problems she was finding, what she was doing to alleviate them, and why. I also liked that she was open to small talk, like when I'm at the barber or something. At the day spa I used to go to, it often seems like they don't want you to ever speak during the massage unless you're in dire pain. To summarize, if you want the resort-style facilites of a day spa (nothing wrong with that), Myo may not be what you're looking for; but if you really want to feel where your money went after the massage is done, I highly recommend Myo's bodywork for quality and results. Pros: Treatment Quality Cons: Prefer More of a Spa Atmosphere more

don't know what all the good reviews are about... 7/10/2008

I got a massage here based on all the GREAT reviews I read on here. Unfortunately, unless the rest of you are getting some kind of "happy ending" that your not talking about, this place is not even good-- it's so/so. It could of just been the masseuse I got, can't remember her name, but it was seriously a waste of time AND money! I'm convinced now that they must have the front desk girl writing in amazing, perfect reviews to generate more business, who knows... Pros: pretty website Cons: massage more

Massage defined! 5/12/2008

It is great to find folks that are intuitive and skilled. Catherine & Levi's efforts have made a major positive difference in my wife's and my well being. The other staff members I have dealt with are also knowledgeable and dedicated. Both locations are clean, calming, and generate a healing atmosphere. Their techniques change from session to session as our bodies heal and reinvigorate reflecting their knowledge of the healing processs and their wide ranging skills. Their highly professional interview and the records they maintain of your treatment are confidence builders as well. This is the place to run to for a tune up or to attack a chronic issue. Pros: Great treatment, highly skilled staff Cons: Habit forming more

Great new location and Wonderful massage! 5/11/2008

We just came back from an 90 minute couples massage at Myo's new location and was impressed. We walked in and were pleasantly greeted and offered some water. The room had a good energy, relaxing music, and the massage therapists were Great. Gina was my massage therapist and would highly recommended her. She did a fantastic job and I left there feeling completly relaxed and refreshed. 5 star business and a 5 star massage! Pros: Great massage, clean, friendly, Cons: none more

Fantastic! 5/1/2008

I love Myo! The best massages - ever! Yes, if you go to a few other places in town they might have silly frills, but if you want a great massage at a great price myo is the place to go. My boyfriend is really weird about massages and that sort of thing and Myo is the only place he will go! We LOVE IT! Pros: Easy scheduling, friendly staff, excellent massage Cons: smaller rooms, no frills if you're into that sort of thing more

Cold Room, Lukewarm Massage 2/4/2008

Due to all the good reviews, I thought I'd try this place out while my regular day spa is closed for remodeling. I was very disappointed. The massage room was way too cold, and stayed that way even after I mentioned it. The massage, in contrast, was lukewarm at best. I'd say it's a contender for the worst massage I've ever had, and I've had lots. I wonder if all the other posters are friends of the owners. I will not go back. Pros: None Cons: Room Cold, Massage Bad more

Best prices for incredible, professional service 10/21/2007

I've been getting a massage every other month or so for years now. I just moved into Austin so I had to find a new place to go, and I am SO glad I found Myo. My boyfriend and I got a couple's massage a week or so ago with Catherine and Levi, and they were awesome. Levi was my therapist that time, but I also had the pleasure of experiencing Catherine's technique today when I just had to go back in for another massage after a hellish week of work. Levi's customized Myo massage was greatly therapeutic, and Catherine's swedish massage was sooo relaxing and intuitive. Even though it was only 30 minutes, she got every part of my body very thoroughly. They are half the price as some places, and at $35 I can afford to get a 30 minute swedish massage every week... which is great considering I'm a baker and work wreaks havoc on my body. more

BEST THERAPISTS ANYWHERE! A++ customer service! 9/17/2007

I called Myo at the last minute to get a certificate for my boyfriend's birthday, and they emailed it to me right on the spot! We called the next day at noon, Meredith & Levi got us in the same day and it was absolutely the best massage either of us ever had. I'll never go to the cheap local massage clinic again. Myo's staff is very friendly, they provide great service and the therapists can't be beat!!! Pros: Therapists, Customer Service Cons: Prices are higher than clinics, but massages are definately worth the $ more

best massage for troubled backs 8/24/2007

I've had many massages at many spas in town and no one has helped my back as much as Gina has. I have had back trouble for years, been to a chiropractor and physical therapy, but 3 sessions with Gina and I was cured! And it didn't cost an arm and a leg! She knows her stuff and gives you streches and exercises to help strenthen your area of pain. Pros: parking, availbility, ambience more

Great personalized massage for all your needs 7/21/2007

I have been getting massages at Myo for almost a year. I originally went because of a back injury, but continue to go because I have found the structural bodywork has been very beneficial to improving my flexibility, range of motion and physical comfort. Levi is an exceptional therapist. He has been able to almost completely eliminate pain and recover mobility in my hand that had developed over many years of doing needlework. No doctor had ever been able to do anything other than prescribe painkillers! Levi has been able to help me address other areas like hip tightness and shoulder overuse. I really like it that he explains physically what is going on and how he can help me. He has even shown me stretches I can do between sessions to continue the work. And I should add he is also very capable of giving a very relaxing, indulgent "spa massage" on those times when I just want some pampering! Myo is the place to go if you want a personalized massage for whatever your needs may be. Pros: knowledgeable and skilled staff, pleasant environment, effective treatment and great rates Cons: none more
