Dr Tedford and his staff are excellent. I have been seeing Dr Tedford for my dental care since 2004 and each time I have received exceptional care. I've had 4-5 crowns and numerous fillings and they all have been virtually pain and trouble free. Highly recommend! more

I would not reccomend going to Dr. Tedford. He is very gentle and kind and is nice, however, I question his ability. My first visit there I was told that I would need a deep cleaning. HOWEVER they proceeded to do a regular cleaning first which means my insurance would not cover the other cleaning. How convenient. Also, I was there for HOURS because they didn't have enough people working and too many people waiting. \r \r The next time I went I had pain in my tooth. My insurance was billed for the visit and an xray was done but I was told he couldn't see a problem. Within a couple of weeks, my tooth that was hurting broke. Low and behold there was actually a cavity that was missed. So, when I went back in to have it looked at AGAIN I was referred to an endodontist because he thought I would need a root canal and a crown. Something told me NOT to go to the person he referred me to. I chose someone else. The endodontist could not understand why I was even there. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my roots. He said I just needed a filling. \r \r In between the time that I saw the endodontist and went back to Tedford I received a call from the front desk telling me what I would owe after insurance for my crown. I told the lady at that time that I wasn't getting one. THEN when I went back in to get my filling, the assistant was getting ready to give me a mold or whatever for a crown fitting. I had to tell them AGAIN that I was not getting a crown. THEN when Tedford came in, he said he just couldn't understand how I didn't need a root canal. REALLY? Good thing I didn't go to her person he referred me to. Who knows, they might be working together to make a profit. \r \r Now to top it all off, I am receiving a bill for higher than what my deductable was planned to be because they just happened to forget to tell me that they were not considered to be a dentist in my plan. AFTER I ASKED THEM??!!! \r \r I will never go back. They are only nice until they think they are not getting money and then they are totally rude. It also seems like they are trying to make stuff up and do extra things that are not required to make a profit. DO NOT GO HERE! There are better dentists out there. more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Tedford's for almost 15 years, and our two sons (who are now grown) have been his patients since they were quite young as well. I wish I had other doctors who are as gentle and caring as he is! Dental work isn't always the most pleasant experience even under the best of circumstances, but Dr. Tedford and his staff do the best they can to put me at ease, make me comfortable, explain exactly what needs to be done and the results I can expect ... all at a fair price. I would definitely recommend him (and have!), especially to those who may have had a bad experience elsewhere. more

I can't say enough good things about this dental office! The Dr. and staff are all very friendly and seem to truly care about their patients. The care I received was both thorough and professional. I will say that I had to wait about 10 mins. for my appointment, but it was worth the wait. Not only was it painless dentistry, it was completed quickly. As far as that other review that stated that they are ""not honest"" and ""liars"", I think that they are completely honest and truthful. It's obvious by all the laughter and smiling that the staff loves their jobs. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in the Littleton area. Dr. Tedford is a good dentist, but cannot do cosmetic dentistry at all. Spending over $5,000 was a hard way to find out not just any dentist can do Lumineers. Cosmetic dentistry takes a real talent and art, I did not believe that, especially with the way Lumineers are advertised...you wouldn't think it was hard. It is. Your dentist needs to be a perfectionist at this, Dr. Tedford is not. His staff is not. His staff broke a healthy tooth while pulling off a temp crown, and said they did nothing. When I asked about a large piece of tooth that I noticed was gone...they said it looks like it chipped..nope, it was GRINDED DOWN! (liars!) worse off...to make the lumineers fit! This is nothing you read about on the Lumineers page is it? You aren't supposed to grind healthy teeth down! Really stay away from this office. Don't let the Christian reading material fool you either, they do not practice honesty at all. I don't know if they are just careless, but never have I heard of a dentist breaking a tooth but then lying about it just floors me! I'll start by saying Tedford himself seems to be a good guy. He was very nice and obviously a solid dentist from the exam I received. \r \r The cleaning I received prior to his exam was another story. It was rushed and incomplete. \r \r To add to my consternation, the office ""misplaced"" the x-rays my wife and I brought to them from a previous dentist. more

Per the first review, that was all correct. Dr. Tedford is very gentle kind. However, make sure that you have a way to pay for your visit, they do not do in-house billing. Also found that some of the conversations about money were innapproprate considering I was just a patient. It was made clear how much everything they do costs and that dental health insurance hurts them in certain circumstances.\r \r I have also noticed that perhaps the office technology might be a little ""behind the times"". Once I get my tooth fixed for the ""third"" time, I think I will go elsewhere. Also be aware that you don't get personal attention from him your whole visit. Each time I've been there he's had at least 2 other people that he was working on. The assistants stay with you just so you don't get bored. more
