Broadway Veterinary Clinic

Very happy with this clinic. A few years ago our Jack Russell had Blastomycosis.He stayed there for a month before his condition got severely worse. They tried everything they could to save him and gave us huge discounts on boarding him. When we finally made the decision to have him put down the vet even cried. I have been taking all our dogs(we now have 3) to this vet for 8 years and have never been unsatisfied.They even get excited about new flea treatments and love to tell you about any discounts or rebates available. I will continue taking my fur babies here! more

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Broadway Veterinary Clinic for 30 yrs. and have obviously been satisfied with the way my pets have been treated, as well as myself. I got an appt. this morning for 4:30 this afternoon. I took my cat and dog for shots, heart worm testing, tapeworms, and a general checkup. All of this just took 30 mins.! Their charges have always been very reasonable. I have recommended Broadway Veterinary Clinic to many friends over the years. In 2000, I moved 6 miles away, but still take my pets there, even though there are closer vets. I highly recommend Broadway Veterinary Clinic! Kudos to Dr. James! more

I have been going to Broadway Animal Clinic for about 2 years . At first I was a little leary cause I have worked with Veterinarians my entire life which is why I dont anymore . They are mostly cocky and arrogant and care more about the money than the pets . But Dr James proved me wrong which is rare lol . He took care of my pitbull which was diagnosed diabetic and for awhile it was crazy cause her numbers were outrageous and I had to call him twice a day to see what amount of insulin to give and he took my call everyday 7 days a week till she was stable and we had a set amount to give . He is very sympathetic and understanding and knowledgeable and honestly cares about the pets . Yes you have to wait in the waiting room for a lil bit but thats just life and each pet is different and needs change when they get to a room depending on symptoms so how can you complain about that he gives his time to each person and pet . Horrible, horrible people! My mother took her dog there last week because she had eaten something and was acting very sick. They took the dog gave it a shot, induced vomiting and then charged my mother (who is on a fixed income) $150. When she tried to explain to them that she didn't have that much money and could she make payments they told her no and that they were going to hold her dog until she could pay them. The receptionist kept going and asking the owner what they could do but he wouldn't budge. She was crying and begging them to be able to take her dog home. They finally let her go when she gave them $80, which is everything she had in the bank and told her that if she didn't bring the rest by next week they would sue her. She is over 60, and on ssi disability. She has a disposable income of $200 a month. I understand that they have to make their money but a little compassion and working with a customer that has taken her dog there for YEARS would have been nice. I will never go there again! more

I have been taking my animals to Broadway Veterinary Clinic since I moved to Knoxville TN in 1983. My aunt and uncle had always raved about Dr. Senter and Dr. James. My sister took her dog there, and I have recommended Broadway Veterinary Clinic to many friends. Dr. James loves his work, is very friendly and compassionate. I moved about 6 miles away and could have found a closer veterinarian, but I trust Dr. James and his staff. I made a recent visit with my dog and didn't have to wait very long even though it was on a Saturday. (I have waited a lot longer at a human doctor's office.) Their fees are very reasonable. I highly recommend Broadway Veterinary Clinic, Dr. James and his excellent staff! more

I had a 3:30 confirmed appt for my cat and sat in the lobby for over an hour before being called back (there was hardly anyone there). After weighing my cat they left me in the room for another 20 mins without an explanation. Finally I had enough and put my cat back in his carrier and told the lady at the front that I had already been there almost one and a half hours and was leaving. No apology or anything. Go to Central Vet as they actually care about and respect their customers. more

They weighed my cat and 20 minutes later still no vet or explanation. After finally having had enough I put my cat back in his carrier and told the lady at the front desk that I was leaving as it had been nearly an hour and a half with no apology or explanation. Go to Central Vet Clinic, much better customer service and they act like they actually care about their customers. more

I have 2 doberman pincher male dogs. One was a rescue and the other i have had since he was a pup. Dr. James and staff have all ways been top notch when it comes to the quality of care that they gives my boys. From shots to stitches to ear cropping so far everything has been great. I will only use this doctor for my fur babies. more

I am a 3rd generation patient of Broadway Vet. My grown children are 4th generation patients. Like Dr. Senter who founded the practice, Dr. James is compassionate and caring and thorough. He and his staff have taken care of our dogs, cats, iguana and snakes with clear explanations of problems and options. All you have to do is see them at work to know how much they care. more

We will not use another vet. Dr James has been our vet for over 20 years. My dogs are my children. He treats them as such. I want only the best for them. The charges are competitive and the service is world class. He got one of my 4 pound puppies thru parvo. I recommend them to all of my friends. more

I tried to change to this office and was told unless I used their very expensive heart worm preventitive and over vaccinate I could not be a client. I was looking for a vet closer to home. I feel they are infor the money and will not accept people who do not want to get ripped off more
