Best

If I could rate it higher, I would. Both, Dr. Shannon Raboin and Kristen Raboin are the best. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat, now but I would not take my pets anywhere else, ever. Bot...

We've been patrons at Quail Corners since about 1978. Yesterday has probably been our last visit. We took all 3 cats in for wellness exams, immunization updates and one also for...

Rude/Disrespectful Staff and Money-Oriented Business 3/17/2011

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS EMERGENCY VET. THEY WERE DISRESPECTFUL AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL TOWARDS ME AND MY VERY SICK DOG. I took my very sick 4 year old dog to Quail Corners last night. She had been violently stomach sick for over 2 days and I was worried about her dehydrating before this morning. The nurse took 10 minutes to get my dog's weight and temperature - a procedure that takes 2 minutes at my normal vet. The vet told me I needed to get my dog 2 shots, subq fluids and wanted to give me a prescription. As I already had a prescription for anti-diuretics and I felt the shots were unnecessary for a weeknight visit to the e-vet, I told her I just wanted the subq fluids to prevent further dehydration and that I would take my dog to her normal vet in the morning if necessary. After I revealed I would not be spending the $200 they were trying to coerce out of me, the nurse repeatedly slammed my exam room door every time she left it. My dog is a rescue and has been severely abused. I told the vet this just before they began treatment, so for the nurse to create loud, disturbing noises in the presence of my already sick and exhausted dog was completely unacceptable. As the nurses behavior was terse, but not rude before our discussion of money - I asked for a quote before treatment began - I can only assume that her attitude was entirely about me. She proceeded to insinuate that I was not behaving in the best interest of my dog and was openly judgmental and angry that I would not let her manipulate me into spending more money than necessary on my animal's treatment. I was unaware this was a commission-based business for nurses. I will be calling the facility today to formally complain to whomever I can. Note to anyone going there: GET A QUOTE BEFORE YOU ALLOW TREATMENT OF YOUR ANIMAL. THEY WILL NOT OFFER IT TO YOU, WHICH CAN RESULT IN PAYING EXORBITANT AMOUNTS FOR UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES. more

Awesome Vet 5/29/2006

I take my dog here and have absolutly loved it. the staff here always seems very interested in my puppy and making sure he is ok. The best part about the place to me is that they are 24 hours, so you can call in the middle of the night if your animal is sick or gets injured somehow. They have been an invaluable resource esspecially with my first dog ever. I had so many questions after he got shots and got fixed and they were always there with answers. more

Best vets in Raleigh 5/4/2006

My 2 dogs receive the best care possible at QCAH. One of them is an abuse victim and very difficult but the vets there welcome her with open arms. My West Highland White Terrier has survived for 3 years with bladder cancer in part because of early diagnosis by one of the vets at QCAH (this is an excellent survival time). The staff always take the time to explain what they are doing and why. more

Excellent Vet, Open 24 Hours 2/13/2006

Quail Corners, located in North Raleigh on Millbrook Road, offers excellent vet services. The clinic is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and always has a full staff. Appointments are suggested, but are not required, ecspecially for emergency situations. Quail Corners is rescue friendly and has helped the rescue I volunteer with save several beagles. more

24 hours 7/2/2005

This is my dogs regular vet. I took him here shortly after i got him for a check up, and to get his shots. he had a bad reaction to one of the shots and I was able to call them overnight (they have someone on call 24 hours) to get advice. this is a great vet for the nervous parent, or someone who might not be able to go to the vet 9-5. more
