Skip & Sheri Johnson love Busch Gardens 2/17/2009

I've been going to Busch Gardens for 30+ years & every year it gets better. My husband never rides roller coasters & last year, for the first time since he was a teenager, he rode all of your roller coasters. We had so much fun! We rode them over & over until it was dark, we had a great time! This is a great park for kids, teens & adults. It's always clean & has free beer! more

Beer School 10/1/2006

I'm sure everyone will admit that Busch Gardens is more for older kids than Disney, but did you know it's for real old kids (aka adults) too? The last time we went to Busch Gardens my fiance and I graduated the Budweiser Beer School -- we're "Master Brewers." It's official. I have a certificate. LOL Seriously though, it's a cool program. You learn about what goes into the beer, what gives it its aroma, colour, etc. and even have some tastes along the way so you can taste the difference the guide is describing. Obviously you have to be at least 21 and they limit the class size, so make reservations. If you really like beer, you can sample some beers on tap -- I don't know what the limit is on how many sample you can get, but they're decent sized samples. Outside the classroom and sampling building you can see a couple of the Bud horses (I know they're not called horses, but it's late and I can't think of the right word) -- it's not a petting zoo; you're not supposed to pet them, but they're nice to look at. more

Another great place for Coasters! 3/21/2006

This place has the best one of a kind rollar coasters. Plus some of the best African animals. I love this place, the only downside is there's not much shade and it's a little hard to find food, at least what I eat. But other than that you'll have a blast with those rollar coasters and watching the animals that you won't want to leave. more

Fun For The Family 3/19/2006

Since I was little Busch Gardens has always been one of my favorite places. The nice thing is that they have a variety of attractions for basically every age. I know the adults never have a hard time finding sometimg to do even if they dont like rides. Even though the price is kinda steep the good news is that they typically offer some kinda pass for Florida residents which ends up being a steal. All in all I think Busch Gardens is a nice asset to the Tampa Bay Area. more

Cool off from the hot sun 11/23/2005

I love to take the kids here to hang out. My kids favorite area is in the back of the park it is called " Splash Attack". I usually get some lounge chairs here to put my stuff and go play with the kids. They have 4 kid friendly slides in this area. And a huge bucket that dumps gallons of water down about every 7 minutes. we love to hit the rambling river, wave pool and head over to the water flumes. They have a bunch of stuff to do here for kids of all ages, even us big kids. more

great place for the whole family 11/23/2005

There is so much to see and do here. I recommend that you purchase season passes to include seaworld and adventure island. with the "passport" passes the parking is included and you get a discount at all the resturants and shops. I like to visit the park and start off with viewing some of the feedings that they do. They have many animals from gorillas, alligators, flamingos, bird shows, and many more shows that are really great. For the little ones they have land of the dragons where they have rides for smaller children. they have a huge tree house and a splash area where the kids can play in the water. It is a lot to take in all in 1 day. You can ride all the rides in 1 day, but if the park is busy you will not get to see all the shows. more

On my 18th year pass. 10/27/2005

This is a must for Florida residents. Buy a 1 or 2 year pass and have fun all year round. Once you have paid, it is free parking, free to get in, and discounts on food and purchases. The shows are amazing, and I just love all the animals. I even go on a couple of the smaller rides. The trees, shrubs, and flowers are just beautiful, and I can walk for hours. In the springtime there are big name bands and shows, all included in the price. What a bargain. more

Great Fun 10/22/2005

I take all of our out of town friends and family here. It is fun and a great value. There is something here for everyone in the family. The food is still expensive but that is to be expected. The animal exhibits are fun . And they do have free beer. more

best place to go year round! 10/18/2005

I love this amusement park. It has an african theme and there is so much to do! My kids love going to dragon land-the water park. My husband loves the free beer they give out. The rollercoaster are amazing! There are so many animals there and the place is always so clean. Staff is very friendly as well. There are some really great restaurants which are fairly inexpensive. We bought year passes which were less than 100 dollars and go at least once a week. Definitely a great value for the money more

Amusement Park 10/9/2005

Great amusement park for adults and kids! The park is in the north side of Tampa. The prices are average for theme parks, but you can get discount coupons from many different fast-food chains and grocery stores. The lines for rides are not too bad as long as go on a weekday. There is a new roller coaster, Sheikra, that has a vertical drop you have to see to believe. more

Gardens and animals 8/27/2005

This is a great theme park. I went here as part of my Florida vacation, and let me tell you it was fun! They have a great combination of rides and rollercoasters and then animals! The lines weren't terribly long when I was there which was so cool, you didnt have to wait an hour in line to get onto a rollercoaster. The coasters were really good, original too. There was rides for all other age groups too. But then to top it off there are tons of animals here. You can go on a little train ride and lok at all of of em just roaming around. Or you can look from overhead while at the same time traveling from one side of the park to the other. Great fun! But as in any other amesement park, the entrance fee is quiete expencive. more

Member since 1995 8/20/2005

I have been going to this place since 1995. Sometimes I am a gold member. Other times I can only afford the bronze card. This place is getting better and better. The new ride Sheikra is an excellent ride. The parking lot is bigger and now there is more new things that I can go and see. I am waiting for the express passes to come to this theme park to give it a perfect 5 stars. Simple affordable. more

A Great Park 8/19/2005

I recently got back from going to Busch Gardens and the ride "Shreeka" was awesome. It was on of the best roller coasters that I have ever rode on. It was the major reason me and my friends decided to go to Busch Gardens and it did not let us down. The wait was about an hour long but that may be because it was on a Saturday. But never the less it was worth it. The rest of the park was pretty interesting with all the other roller coasters and all the amazing animals. I definitely recommend this park. more

A headache waiting to happen 8/19/2005

While I haven't had a chance to try out Busch Garden's latest roller coaster, I have seen enough to know I'd rather go to alot of other places. I last went to Busch Gardens on a weekend trip to both there and Islands of Adventure in Orlando. I first went to Islands of Adventure and loved it. The next day, when I went to Busch Gardens, I expected about the same amount of fun. Instead, the rides weren't even fun. Kumba snaps your neck back and forth against the pads on either side of your head, Gwazi has these bumps which give you the worst headache ever, and even the water rafting was shut down (it didn't even have water in it!). I think Busch Gardens is too old and it can't compete with Islands of Adventure. more

Busch Gardens/Adventure Island 8/18/2005

The roller coasters here are the main attraction, rather than high-tech rides. Its not a big problem though, because the coasters are fun and new ones are added every few years. Really the biggest problem is the lines; most of them are kept outdoors meaning you will be standing in sweltering Florida heat for anywhere from 10-20 minutes, maybe longer. At other similar theme parks the lines are kept inside and are air conditioned. more

Great Park! 8/9/2005

I grew up going to this park every year. This is a great park and it has so many exotic animals in the park. They have animals from birds to crocodiles to tigers and giraffes. They have many roller coasters, which are sure to please anyone who loves rides. The park has an African theme and there is a children's section with plenty of rides to choose from. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from in the park. I recommend it to anyone visiting the Tampa area! more

Incredible Rides! 8/5/2005

Busch Gardens Tampa is constantly named one of the nations top theme parks for roller coasters. At the time of this review there are 8 roller coaster rides including one children's coaster. To save money, look into one of the annual or florida resident passes. These offer you unlimited use of the park and in some cases free parking. Don't forget to show your annual pass at all food/retail locations in the park for an additional 10 percent off! more

Fun Filled! 8/4/2005

My family LOVES Busch Gardens! We have been to many of the Orlando theme parks but keep coming back to Busch Gardens! It is clean, beautiful, the rides are exciting and there is something for everyone there! Be sure not to miss the shows when you go! (Schedules are passed out as you enter the park) They are really good! Also - don't forget to stop by for a free beer sample at the hospitality house....they even offer a "beer school" if you are interested! more

A must See! 8/3/2005

I think its average in comparison to other theme parks and there is a lot to do. Parking is kind of ridiculous but there are a lot of rides, animals and they do run different themes. Like on Halloween they had Halloscream. It was very different and it was worth the money. The best haunted houses I have ever seen in my entire life. The food is good. The cost is average to other theme parks in general. The staff that work there are very friendly. It is clean and has a tropical feel to it. So much to see and do there. Everyone should go there atleast once in their lifetime. I always have a wonderful time there. Lots to see and do. Great for adults not just for kids. more

Great place to visit! 8/2/2005

Bush Gardens, Tampa is a must see when visiting the Tampa Bay area. From animals to kiddie rides, to swooping roller coasters, this place has you hopping from sun up to sun down. Prices are competitive with other local attractions, and food and beverage are served. My whole family loves it, and to quote my (then) 3 year old son "Yeeehaaw cowboy. This is fun!" more
