Warm and friendly 4/6/2012

This place has a nice bar to hang out after work. The bar crowd between 5 and 7 is engaging and there is free food with your drinks. Love the perks. I did not have dinner here yet, but the pizza they serve at the bar for the happy hour is really good and thin. They also serve meatball with tomato sauce as a complimentary treat to bar guests. I'll go back for the happy hour for sure. They seem to have tables for big groups in the back. I might try them out if I have a party. more

Best pizza ever! 4/2/2012

The restaurant is located in TriBeCa on Greenwich st. The block is full of other food establishments, but this one stands out for the food and the ambiance. I particularly love the pear and gorgonzola pizza. The thin crust makes it a good appetizer and the taste is strong. Another dish I love is the grilled branzino with cous cous on the side. Last time I went there the branzino wasn't on the menu anymore (So disappointing...) so I tried the short rib ravioli. I have to say they are really tasty and make a great dish with a glass of red wine. The selection is somehow limited but I saw that the menu changes so you get to try different things if you go back. I'll definitely go back for the pizza, and hopefully my branzino. more

Great food and attentive service 5/10/2011

I have been at Trattoria Cinque several times, some of them with my kids and some with my husband alone. I found the place a good place for our family brunches, because of the large tables, crayons for the kids, bread with chocolate for the wait and keep the kids busy. I also enjoy going there for quiet dinners with hubby. The atmosphere is great, the service is attentive and food is great. You gotta try the pizza with gorgonzola and pears. So yummy!! I must have it al the times. The desserts are really good too, although the choice is kind of limited. The good thing is that they keep changing the menu, so I got to try different desserts over time. Yes, I'm a sucker for dessert :) more

Mouth watering 7/29/2010

My first time here was only over shadowed by my second visit! I couldn't believe how delicious and succulent the meat was... the staff is impeccable and the atmosphere was divine! more

Warm, Italian dining...great for groups! 4/23/2010

This place is definitely worth a trip. All items on the menu are in groups of 5, along with price points being multiples of 5, hence the name: Trattoria Cinque! This restaurant is right in the heart of Tribeca along the Greenwich Street strip that is well known for its various eateries. I've never had to wait and the service is always prompt and tastefully done. Pros: Affordable, open space, friendly staff Cons: Small menu more

One of my Favorite Italian Restaurants! 3/3/2010

This place is truly a gem, although it's so spacious you wouldn't even think that you're in the Village! The waitstaff and owner are all authentically Italian and exude warmth! The food is incredible. I loved the Gorgonzola, pear and truffle oil thin crust pizza, cheese, rice balls, short rib pasta, octopus appetizer, cured meats, tiramisu, chocolate cake.... everything about this restaurant was lovable! There's even a fireplace that adds to the ambiance. And all entrees are under $25! It's so difficult these days to find a restaurant that serves great food, offers excellent service, yet does not charge exorbitant prices! This is a place that I will keep in mind especially for large group dinners! Pros: Excellent food and value, Warm staff Cons: Can't think of anything! more

Amazing Ribeye Deal!! 2/15/2010

Greatly enjoyed a President's Day Valentimes with the loved one - split a pizza and split the ribeye. 20 oz er w a bone - have the $30 botttle of the montepulciano, and run before they raise the price... Pros: Value, fine food, handsome comfortable, friendly Cons: none so far more
