BEST Italian food EVER 2/22/2010

I have been searching for a good italian eatery in my area. I happened to past this place on many occasions and finally decided to go in. I must say, from my first visit, the staff made me feel at home and they serve large portion meals to make you feel you're getting your money's worth. The manager Nelson, is a very professional and approachable person which is not always easy to find. The staff welcomes you and maintain their professionalism at all times. For me, first impressions are lasting; I must say they did such an excellent job that it is now me & my family's FAVORITE italian restaurant; and if you give it the opportunity, believe me, it would become yours as well : ) Pros: Food, Service, Portions Cons: NONE more

Good portion for the price 10/17/2009

We ordered calamari, meat sauce w/spaghetti and veal parmagiana. The first two are fine but the veal is a little rubbery. The place has an endless collection of pictures and photos that cover every wall. Food comes quickly despite a near-full house on a Friday night. The manager selectively picked out customers to greet which kinda raised our eyebrows. Either go to every table or don't do it at all. Prices are reasonable, better than Maggiano with its stupid rules and stuffy waiters. Pros: Great decorations, tasty pasta Cons: Manager selectively greeted patrons-what the hell? more

Italy comes to Georgia 1/20/2008

Fabulous. Best atmophere, great food, large portions, friendly staff. I am an Italian from Ohio and this IS great Italian food. Easy reservations, especially on Sunday afternoons. My extended family was very inpressed. Pros: Food, atmosphere, music, staff, wine, deserts out of this world. Pope's Room is great for family celebrations. Cons: None more

Really Nice Staff really bad food 7/23/2007

The atmosphere is light hearted and the staff was really nice, but the food is probably some of the worst Italian food I have ever had. I am from NJ so I will mention that Italian food is my very favorite and if you happen to be from the Northeast don't even bother. My waitress was from the North and she knew right away what was wrong. Great service, awful food! Pros: The staff was really great!! Cons: The food is bad, what's the point! more

For those who like to eat with friends 3/6/2006

Buca di beppo is THE place for people who like to eat in big groups. With family-style dining, the portions are large (for 3/4 ppl), yet pretty reasonable. The staff is friendly, and encourages you to have an 'equally' boisterous (yet family-friendly) experience. Groups of upto 5 should request the kitchen table, 10 or more should go for the 'pope' table. The 'spicy arrabiata' pizza is hands down the best pizza I've ever had, and the eggplant parmigiana is to dine for. For great value, go with the house chianti. Corporate food 2/27/2006

First and last time for this place. Went with a group which was the only saving grace as they had room for our large party. Food was so not good. Anyone who thinks this is Italian food must never have had the real thing. If you have kids or just are into incredibly huge portions of food - one order to serve at least 4 people this may be for you. more

Finally a good Italian resturant. The portions were HUGE!! I'm still eating leftovers. The servers were very nice and the food was delicious. I recommend getting reservations if you a good table. Beware though: this not a resturant for your typical snotty Betty Buckhead. Pros: Huge portions, great salads, parking easy more

Service was awful, food was bland and the atmosphere was extremely tacky. There are many better choices for quality italian, even in Alpharetta. I guess it would be an acceptable place for a large group as long as all you want is a bargain and don't care about the quality of the food or experience. Awesome! 8/22/2004

This place was highly recommended by two very close friends. This place was awesome. It is so authentic in its styling, food and service. The manager (Hello Reggie) came by and sat at our table for a few minutes talking and he even brought our food out. The portions are true Italian. The taste is authentic Italian. It is as if your dear Italian Grandmother is in the kitchen preparing this food for you. For the first time in years at dinner was I speechless. Pros: friendly, fast service, delicious food more

Great place to take friends - Buca Di Bieppo - means "Joe's Basement"... and boy does it ever look that way - close & comfy with lots of Contemporay Art/Photos poking fun at Catholic Italian's. Each room has a theme - like Cardinal Room, Poster Room or Pope Table - for large groups (spin the Pope Bust on table). Reserve Kitchen Table well in advance. Big Flavor...Bigger Portions!! 1/16/2003

This place serves food just like Nona used to make and it is decorated like all the homes of the little old Italian ladies that she used to drag me around to on Sunday afternoons. I was very bored by the language barrier but couldn't wait for all the good food they used to shove in my face. And at Beppo's you get lots of that good food and you'll never be bored. Take a tour of the whole place, and ask to eat at the table in the kitchen...what fun. Be sure to order the baseball sized meatballs!!
