Best

Brooklyn Industries has great t-shirts, bags and sweatshirts that are pretty affordable. I live right near the store, they are constantly coming up with new designs for their t-s...

Worst

This past summer I had a fairly sizable shopping spree at the Smith Street store. I think I got a tee, a tank, and two skirts, and I got a Heritage tote, one of their new styles ...

Broken Item. Painful return process. 12/22/2011

I bought a bag here that broke after 1 use. Seeing how it comes with a lifetime warranty, I sent it back at my own expense for repair. This item was deemed unrepairable after many weeks of waiting and I was offered a store credit. Don't want the store credit for another broken item, just want my money back for the $100 bag I never got to use. First experience with Brooklyn Industries and not a good one at that. Only positive note, the service people I've dealt with have been nice. more

Worst Customer Service EVER!!! 10/2/2009

I purchased 2 identical hoodies online and had them shipped to my home. Shortly after receiving the package I received an email coupon for 25% off and free shipping. I phoned customer service to see if I could use the coupon on the order that was just placed (at full price) and they flat out refused. The customer service person put me on hold for several minutes while she spoke with her manager and came back with the same response. How frustrating is it to receive an offer right after you placed the order???? I ended the conversation by thanking them for their assistance and telling them I'll never shop in their store again. After the conversation I submitted an email via customer service and they didn't even have the decency to respond. What a joke. Pros: Cool hoodies and t-shits Cons: Customer service is abysmal more

Is B.I. going downhill? 11/13/2007

This past summer I had a fairly sizable shopping spree at the Smith Street store. I think I got a tee, a tank, and two skirts, and I got a Heritage tote, one of their new styles that has magnetic closures and a protective coating over the fabric that makes it hard so you can just wipe it clean. When I was checking out, I guess the wrong sticker was on one item, and it rang up at about $20 more than it should have. I came back the next day, and they happily refunded my money. The next week, I had to come back and exchange the bag b/c one of the rivets on the handle had fallen off. The next week, and by this time I was more than a little annoyed, I had to bring the bag back again because the magnets in the flap had slipped down inside and the flap would no longer stay closed. The manager put ""rush"" on the order to fix my bag, but it still took two weeks. Guess what? One month after getting it back from being repaired, the magnets slipped down again and the flap won't stay closed again. The plastic coating on the fabric has cracked and chipped, causing really sharp spots that hurt if you rub against them. Also, the pretty teal skirt I got ran even when washed in cold water the first time, so now it has this kind of ""tie dyed"" look to it. Not cool, but honestly, I don't want to be bothered to go back in there and complain, yet again. I used to love this store, but I'll have to think twice before purchasing anything here again. Pros: nice selection, good tees Cons: some poor quality items more

Great sweat and t-shirts and very good service. If you don't wanna go all the way to Brooklyn, there's also a shop on Lafayette Street. more

cool store 2/20/2003

Brooklyn Industries has great t-shirts, bags and sweatshirts that are pretty affordable. I live right near the store, they are constantly coming up with new designs for their t-shirts as well as putting out their classics. Also this is the only place to get the stuff. Definately worth the visit. Pros: good value, funky music, great presents Cons: No shoes more

Hip, stylish urban gear 5/19/2002

This store epitomizes the hip, affluent urban edge that Williamsburg has come to represent. Featuring bigger brands like Diesel, Brooklyn Industries also offers great clothes and accessories from local designers and artists. Prices are on the high side, reflecting the gentrification that has exploded along Bedford Ave. But service is helpful and friendly, and there are some good finds on the sale rack. Pros: Great clothes Cons: High prices more
