WOW- this company is GREAT! From start to finish, this was the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. The customer service reps were so proffessional, upfront, HONEST, helpful. They gave me a flat rate quote for my move. I was really afraid that the day of the move, they were going to *spring* new charges on me, as has been my experience with every other mover in this city. But there were no additional charges- the quote they gave me is what they charged me. The move itself was flawless- the guys were punctual and professional. They did they job really fast, but most importantly they DID NOT BREAK A THING!!!! And I live on a fourth floor walk-up and own a piano! This is my second move with Brooklyn Packing - Moving and true to form I was not disappointed or surprised by the quality of service. James came out to my home in Long Island for the assessment. What struck me straight off was that he was not afraid of my goofy but absolutely lovable 150 pound dog who ""energetically"" met him at the door. James was honest about the pricing of my move based on the size of the job, when I wanted to move and what Brooklyn Packing - Moving had available. His honesty resonated with me and gave me comfort that this was not only a good guy but a smart company to have hired him. So, since I had a great experience with my previous move with Brooklyn Packing - Moving coupled with the absolute HORROR stories I heard about other moving companies -- I CHANGED MY MOVE DATE so that I could stay and use Brooklyn Packing - Moving . Now if that doesn't tell you something I dont know what will. The move was FLAWLESS. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged. They did not loose steam from the move in Long Island to the trekk into the city. They even put my bed together for me!! From the beginning, Twins Moving was a pleasure to work with. We were nervous about having to spend so much on moving, but after the horror stories we'd heard, we figured flat-rate was our best shot. And the people at Twins Movingl were really attentive and honest--they pride themselves on treating their customers right. That may sound like just a slogan, but in this case, it certainly seems to be true. There were no hidden costs, no sudden ""adjustments"" to the estimate, and the team that moved our stuff was EXCELLENT. Juan and his crew were really the best--prompt, quick, careful and nice. We were done moving all our stuff by about 1PM--a MIRACLE! True, we had most things packed, but theyhandled everything that needed extra care; the guys even moved all my plants with nary a leaf disturbed. All our boxes and trunks and shelves and furniture, and only one wine glass broken--and I'd packed that myself, so it was most probably my fault. We would use them again in a heartbeat, if we were ever going to move again...which we're not, of course. Moving may be awful, but Twins made the actual moving day a real pleasure! more
