Brook Run Animal Clinic

I love this vet. Very knowledgeable and does alot for rescued dogs. But one front desk person there was a rude, self important, arrogant know it all. She has moved on to another job now. more

I find Brook Run organized, and compassionate to my pets as well as to the area rescue organizations. I agree, High 5 to Dr. Zuccaro! With Brook Run Animal Clinic, I find their love for animals very real and comforting. Pros: compassionate to my pets more

Having been a client of Brook Run Animal Clinic for over 25 years, I can honestly say I have had wonderful experiences each time I have called or visited there, without exception. Drs. Christian, Zaccaro, and all the others have seen every cat and dog I have had. We received a hand-written sympathy card from Dr. Z when our beloved Alex (16 year-old kitty) died and that was so special to us. The office staff is kind while remaining professional and efficient. The establishment is spotlessly clean and very loving and capable to both me and my furry friends. I am very grateful for all they do.\r PROS: Professional, kind-hearted, efficient staff. From the doctors to the assistants to the office staff.\r CONS: 30 minutes from my house. But worth the drive. I pass two other clinics on the way there. more

Apparently things have changed at this vet, because the secretary is always rude, condescending and unprofessional both in the clinic and on the phone. They thought a giant german shepherd attacking my 5 month old pup was hilarious because apparently the shepherd is ""such a character"" and ""can't help that he's such a big tough guy."" I went back another time with my other dog and when dog came in the door he jumped on mine, which was fine because he was just excited and wanted to play, but the dog broke his flimsy retractable leash and when one of the vets/vet techs saw it happened she screamed at to ""get my dog under control or leave"" when my dog was not the one that was being hyper. I will not be taking my dog back there again, and I have found a new vet whose staff has been fantastic at the Three Chopt Animal Clinic. Dr. Zuccaro and his office staff are very passionate about treating my pets. I have been going to him for over 16 years with a total of 3 cats and two dogs. Unlike some Doctors the pets come first with Dr. Zuccaro. I have moved to TN. from Richmond and I can tell you I really miss him taking care of my pets. When my Cat got sick with the pet food 2-7-07, I called Dr. Zuccaro and left a voice mail. He called the Dr. here in TN. to give the Dr. back ground on my Cat. My Mr. Boots died 5-4-07. Dr. Zuccaro would send me Sympathy cards for each of my pets when they pasted, I have yet to get one from the Dr. here. Little things do mean a lot.
