Way over priced for the quality 6/28/2010

I was disappointed with the flavor of most items served. Starter was ok however it consisted of more tentacles then actual rings of squid. Had the largest, and most expensive, rib eye. Flavor was very flat and retained a taste of a dirty grill. The asparagus was also flat and at least one of the roasted potatoes was under done. I did eat everything as it was late in the evening and I didn't want to wait for food any longer. The bright spot was the wait staff and the deserts. When I travel I seek out nice places to eat to have an experience but unfortunately I could have cooked this meal far better than it was. Mark this one up for experience and OFF the list! more

Okay, but overpriced 5/23/2009

Nice enough, but because of it's location, most customers have more money than brains and the menu reflects that fact. A better meal can be purchased at a much lower price at many other restaurants. In short, if you have money to waste, Bristols is okay. Pros: Relatively Quiet Cons: Price more

Best Food, Best Service, and a Great Time 6/10/2006

My family went on a mini vacation to STL for the weekend. We were ready for dinner and called the front desk and asked if they had any ideas. We asked for something local not a chain like applebees or tx roadhouse. He said if we liked seafood we should try Bristols. I am so glad he suggested it. We went a bit late (7:45) and were seated as soon as we walked in. We had a large party with several young children. They sat us in an enclosed room that was perfect for a large party with kids. The server was great!!!! Food was great! They were great with the kids. The kid's food came out about 10min before ours did to keep them happy. And then there was the food. WONDERFUL. Wine, soup, salad, crab cakes, cake, everything was fantastic. Pros: Everything about this place is a pro except .... Cons: could get crowded durring dinner rush so come late more

Pretty good, but not great 4/21/2006

Several lunch visits. Everything I've had has been at least very good, and a couple of things excellent -- but nothing has been remarkable. The atmosphere feels like it was approved in a board room. It's somewhat overpriced, but not horribly so for seafood. The service has been great, but I eat after the rush. In a better seafood city (I've been to one in Baltimore) Bristol is average. Pros: Good for St. Louis, Parking Cons: Somewhat overpriced more

MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH AT BRISTOL IN OFALLON 5/13/2005

Reservation for 10 @ 2:30 Seated near dessert table, due to lines, difficult to get to our table with our plates. Server was not very pleasant Buffet table looked messy with spilled, dried out food Dripped chocolate & crumbs on 'clean plates'. Staff cleaning up & patting each other on the back before we were finished eating & when time for dessert, not much left. Asked the server to please put out more sticks & fruit for the choc dip, which she didn't. Went to the manager, Scott, & again requested,& he did. Felt rushed & embarrassed bringing out of town guest. We should receive same courtesy @ 2:30 as those who dined @ an earlier time. Certainly, paid the same price. Never again. Pros: SEATED QUICKLY, EASY PARKING Cons: OVERCROWDED , DRIED OUT FOOD ON BUF, NOT MUCH FOOD LEFT more

WORST BRUNCH EVER! 3/26/2005

Do not waste your time, money on their brunch. After a dinner there recently, I gave it a chance for Easter brunch. The cozy ambiance was now a bottlenecking of people trying to get into the 2 buffet lines. The food was over sauced, fried, canned, and not worth the $10 for my children! The waitress offered no options for my children who lnibbled on stale cheese, burnt omelets & frozen cheesecake! Bus boys barged past guests to get to their dishwasher, waitressess who wanted to know when you were leaving so that another table could be placed in your spot. It's unfortunate, they have a decent wine list, nice happy hour, and a restaurant which on other days offers a great respite to local area. After this visit, I wonder if my Bristol Points that I had accumulated to this point are worth going back to use even for free! more

Best Seafood in St. Louis 4/1/2004

I am a relocatee of several years from the East Coast to St. Louis. Until my wife and I found Bristol's, one of the biggest things we missed was good seafood. We both think Bristol's crab cakes rival those found on the Delmarva penisula, which are easily the best we've ever had. Our recommendation: start out with the lobster bisque, enjoy fresh biscuits served by the roving ""biscuit garcon"", have the crab cakes (other entrees are good, too), and - if possible - enjoy the dessert tray. We've tried most of the other St. Louis ""seafood"" restauarnts (such as R.L. Streamers), but keep coming back to Bristols. Of course, you should expecct to PAY for good seafood in St. Louis, as you're about as far as you can be from an ocean here. And you will pay for it at Bristol's, but only slightly more than other local ""seafood"" restaurants. Pros: food quality, ambience, service Cons: , crowded on weekends more

Fresh Seafood - Daily 1/27/2003

Bristols is defined by excellent food, service, and decor. Menus are printed daily. I always received happy faces when I took executive business clients to this restaurant prior to relocating. Salmon is an excellent choice along with mahi-mahi, swordfish, sea bass, walleye, halibut, yellow-fin tuna. Bristols is known for their seafood but also offer a variety of steak selections. They also offer excellent muffins served warm, garlic mash potatoes, and a great bar area. Most seating areas offer a level of privacy and side rooms with glass doors are available with reservations. It is also a great place to have a small reception in their exclusive dining room. For individuals who love steak and want steak, you should really note the restaurant name, Bristol's Seafood Grill. Pros: Fresh Seafood, Service, Food Freshness Cons: LowRatingByReviewers more
