I am a relocatee of several years from the East Coast to St. Louis. Until my wife and I found Bristol's, one of the biggest things we missed was good seafood. We both think Bristol's crab cakes rival those found on the Delmarva penisula, which are easily the best we've ever had. Our recommendation: start out with the lobster bisque, enjoy fresh biscuits served by the roving ""biscuit garcon"", have the crab cakes (other entrees are good, too), and - if possible - enjoy the dessert tray.
We've tried most of the other St. Louis ""seafood"" restauarnts (such as R.L. Streamers), but keep coming back to Bristols. Of course, you should expecct to PAY for good seafood in St. Louis, as you're about as far as you can be from an ocean here. And you will pay for it at Bristol's, but only slightly more than other local ""seafood"" restaurants.
Pros: food quality, ambience, service
Cons: , crowded on weekends
