Best

The oysters and shrimp creole were amazing. So was the dessert. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. Not too expensive either. A+++++

LOVE IT HERE!!! 1/10/2007

Every time we visit New Orleans I cannot wait to eat at Bourbon house!! I love this place. Definitely sit at the Oyster Bar and order the Devil Stuffed Crab appetizer and the house salad!!! The guys at the Oyster bar will keep you entertained!! Yeah the service is a little slow but this place isn't chili's. You don't come here to eat and run. Get a grip! It's the big easy!!! Pros: The food is AWESOME!!! Cons: Sometimes you have to wait a while for a table.... sit at the Oyster bar you'll be glad you did more

For a great experience, eat at the bar 12/23/2006

I visited the Bourbon House with shaky expectations; I feared the quality would be compromised as it was situated directly on Bourbon Street, but my qualms were soon eased. Stepping into the restaurant from Bourbon Street was like stepping into another world. The lighting was delicately warm and accented by chic decorations. I sat at the bar and was attended to with the best service I have ever had, especially at a busy bar. The bartender (his name was Travis) knew exactly what to suggest for food and drinks. The crab claws were delightfully immersed in garlic butter, and the seafood gumbo was heavenly with a rich roux and generous amounts of shrimp, oysters, and crab. I had a phenomenal experience with overwhelmingly remarkable service and incredible food. I would recommend to anyone. more

Classy place and nice to visit 11/8/2005

My husband and I took my mother, who was visiting NOLA, and we're glad we did. The service after the lunch rush was great. Her dish was wonderful. Ours werent' so great. The servings weren't big at all, but we were happy to experience such an upscale place. However, park somewhere cheap because you'll end up paying a lot for a meal and almost as much in parking if you're in a 10-block vicinity. Cons: parking, expensive more

A nice surprise 6/22/2005

My wedding was in NOLA in April... and after listing 20+ suggested places for my guests to dine, someone else suggested Bourbon House. I was cautious.... but we went with a group of about 12. Only waited for 20 minutes while we got drinks at the bar. Pros: price, location, food and service Cons: none that we found more

How rude! 10/23/2004

Pros: On bourbon st. Cons: , Food, Cold cabernet more

Bourbon Smurben... 8/25/2004

Bourbon House was THE WORST SERVICE we received in NOLA. Food was acceptable, but for the price and the LOUSY service, Id skip this establishment. The ambiance/decor was nice, but once we got our food, that was all she wrote. Waiter(s) were less than helpful, and little rude (we had 3 waiters serving our table, news to us, we never saw the third waiter make an appearance). Had to flag down a waiter if we needed anything, hellosome ketchup for our fries took like 5 minutes to get. We complained to management, with a promise to send us something, sure hope its not a coupon for dinner, wouldnt use it even if it was free!!! Chad, a waiter from an adjoining section, did offer us more assistance than our waiters did, so maybe ask for him and youll have some luck if you choose to go here, GOOD LUCK!! Pros: Nice Atmosphere Cons: , Expect more for $$, Semi-Rude Servers more
