Great Wines 1/13/2007

The wine is great and the food is great. I think it depends on what time of the day you come in regarding service, especially on a Saturday afternoon the service is a little lackadaisical. During the evenings the waiters are more attentive and knowledgeable about the wines. They advertise a wine tasting on Saturdays from 12 to 4pm for ten bucks, but every time I have shown up for it they are never having it! The alternative that is offered is a wine flight that cost about eight dollars more. It feels like a bit of false advertising. I wish they would honor their ten-dollar wine tasting session on Saturdays because it would be a fun and affordable way to spend time with friends and become conversant about different types of wines. Pros: Great wine selections, Great food. Cons: They need to honor their Saturday $10.00 wine tasting session that they advertise more

Cool wine bar 1/12/2007

i took my fiancee last night at bottlerock for the first time and they were super busy.We got seated in the patio by the heater and had few glasses of different wines per our server nino's suggestion.i have to say this is the best place for wines by far and they have great glasses to go with the wines.first wine we had was blue rock cabernet,which was delicious and very hard to find in restaurants.The second wine was selene merlot which was a big bordeaux style and very complex.We had a great time and we shall return.I am in the restaurant business myself and i have to say they got there stuff together.from service to wines,bottlerock is top notch indeed.I am astounded by the wine selections here and the mark up is very small as well.Bottlerock is the coolest place to go for wines in la. bottlerock is the best wine bar in the us by far 1/10/2007

We went to bottlerock last night with a group of friends and let me tell you this place rocks from wines to service.We read several reviews about this place on the internet and saw the article on los angeles magazine so we decided to give this place a shot.We were waited by nino who manages the place and suggested two great bottles of cab and sold a bottle to take home as well.We love this place,the concept behind it and above all love him for his funny wine humor and his suggestions.We jokingly said what we dont like the wine,than what?nino responded that he will drink the bottle himself for any customer if they dont like the wine.To us this by far is the best wine bar in the us and will be very successful in coming months.We wish you a lot of success and hope to see you soon.Thank you nino for your wine recommendations and funny humor. wine bar with style 1/6/2007

We went to bottlerock last night with a group of friends and had a great time.Although they were super busy we still got great wines and impeccable service by nino who is a star of bottlerock.We got seated in the patio and it was super windy and cold but the wines we drank made up the warmth and service by nino was flawless.We had three bottles of wines per nino's suggestion and a cheese plate which was superb.My only complain is not enough heat lamps for a cold night in the patio.We shall return soon and hope this time to be seated inside,rather than outside in the cold. manager and wines 1/1/2007

I went to bottlerock with my wife for the first time this friday night.Let me tell you we had a ball with great wines and service by manager nino at bottlerock.Culver city's new gem is bottlerock for several reasons.They have amazing wines and cheese but above all they have somebody who makes the place special for anyone who goes there,that is nino who served us and manages the place as well.We highly recommend this place to all for wines and him for service and his wine knowledge.Thank you nino and bottlerock,we will be back soon. word is geting out, bottle, rocks! 12/30/2006

Went to bottle rock for the first time last night and had a great time. the food was great, we had a cheese plate prepared by the house chef along with this duck salad. it was kinda crowded but nothing unusual on a friday night. the staff was nice, crowd was versatile and atmosphere was cool. i hope they keep the rock n roll idea going and not turn into a pretentious wine bar. Pros: good value, good wine and food more

cool wine bar 12/29/2006

we went with a bunch of friends last night at bottlerock for the first time.On arrival was greeted by nino who took our name on the wait list.He suggested a cool bottle of pinot noir which was the best pinot i ever had and was so reasonable.We got seated shortly and i have to say it was a great experience and we will be back.My only complain at bottlerock is the chairs you sit on are so un comfortable.I guess next time we come ,we will bring our own cushons to sit on. We went to bottlerock last night for the first time and was very happy with the service we all got here.i work in the restaurant business myself and was very much pleased to be served by nino who is manager and the wine guy at bottlerock.He made us feel very comfortable with no attitude and above all humble in his wine knowledge.Not only he knows wine but he knows how to treat his customers right.We were there till they closed the place down and we noticed the customers love him for his cool attitude.nino not only you are a great person but you deserve the knighthood from the wine society for your wine knowledge.We love you and would love to bring more friends at bottlerock soon. culver city's hidden gem 12/27/2006

I went to bottlerock with my girlfriend last night.I was amazed by great wine selections by bottle and also a cool policy of opening any bottle if you get two glasses of that.We are both wine enthusiasts and love to dring wine very often and read a lot about that as well.We ended up getting a cool bottle of hirsch pinot noir per nino's suggestion who is the most knowledgeable person and manages the place as well. The pinot was one of the best pinot's we ever had.i have been to a lot of wine places but bottle rock is a great gem to culver city.It's cool to go to a place where you feel comfortable and where people actually know wine instead of pretending they know but they dont.Bottlerock is our favourite place to go from now on. bottlerock has the best wine selections and more choices of any wine bar in los angeles.We had a ball with great wines and nino's humor who served us.Ask for him and he will guide you to drink the best and humor you with his funny stories.Bottlerock rock's and i have to say it is a fun place after work.The wines are well priced and great stemware also unlike primitivo or any other wine bar which serve nice wines in so so glasses.I cant wait to bring my boss here who happens to be a big snob.Thank you nino and bottlerock for opening in culver city. more

We have been to bottlerock several times in the past and i have to say the service has gotten better ever since nino started working here.He is not only knowledgeable in wines more than anyone i know but know's service as well.We live down the street from bottlerock and love wine but go to bottlerock because of him more now.Thank you for your great service nino and your wonderful wine suggestions. culver city's new hot spot 12/22/2006

I went to bottlerock last night by accident with my boyfriend and had a great time.We were served by nino who guided us towards wine throughout the evening.He is funny and we had a great time.Bottlerock is a fun place and cool music played on i tunes.My only complain is those lousy chairs which are so uncomfortable.We shall return soon for nice wines of nino's choice again. Not your typical wine bar... 12/22/2006

I went to Bottle Rock with my father yesterday for lunch. We were pleasantly suprised to have such a great time. The food was amazing complimented by a nice Pinot Noir. It was also great to have a server not be so typical in a wine bar. He knew his wine, gave great service but his edge is what did it for us. Bottle Rock blew me away 12/21/2006

I just went to Bottle Rock a few days ago with my girlfriends and we had such a great time. It was packed and we were about to leave but one of the servers, Todd, donned in tattoo's and a gorgeous smile convinced us to stay and have drink while we wait. We got a table less than 20 minutes and had some really great wine and cheese. I couldn't believe the tunes we heard at this place. Ozzy to Built to Spill, I was so in my element. The prices are reasonable and service was great, even when they were busy. Get some friends together, check this place out. Todd, you're the man! more

best wine bar and great attitude at the door 12/18/2006

I took three of my friends this past saturday to bottlerock .On arrival was greeted by a sharp dressed gentleman who is very polite and took our name on the waiting list,since they were so busy.He suggested a glass of wine while we waited for our table which was great and got seated within 25 minutes as well.He came by the table few times to make sure we were ok and all our needs were met.That kinda service is unheard of in a bar but we were delighted that we came over here and had a great time.Thank you for making a great atmosphere for a wine bar and great wines you chose for us. more

This place rocks. Not the biggest, but best and fairest priced wine list. Great staff. Try the foie gras, caviar, ham panini and top cheeses. more

Great Wine, Cool Tunes, GREAT SERVICE!!! 12/14/2006

I just found out about this place from a friend and I was really impressed! The food was really tasty, kinda like a tapas menu with awesome cheese. The chairs I read here were not comfortable but it reminded me of a European wine bar I frequented in London. The wine and beer selection was a little overwhelming at first but ask for Todd, he was funny as hell and more than accomidating. The weekends are packed so get there early and make use of the parking garage off of Cardiff. Bottle Rock is now my new favorite hangout. more

i have been here twice and the service has been friendly and nice. the wines are good but i thought the food selection was just ok. the seats are horribly uncomfortable but otherwise, it is a good place to meet up with friends after work for some wine. more

The best wine bar in los angeles 11/18/2006

i went to bottlerock With some friends recently and was amazed with everything.Los angeles has a lot of wine bars but nothing comes close to bottlerock in service and wine.We are new to wines and still learning but were astounded with the wine knowledge by our server nino,who is one of the manager's as well.He guided us in the right direction with wines and food to compliment the wines.He is not only good in his wine knowledge but has a great sense of humor to make my friends laugh all night long.Our office is nearby and i will bring my boss soon to bottlerock.Thank you so much bottlerock and nino for a fun evening. more
