have tried several salons in Austin for waxing. As a male i believe that i have found the number one place to wax for male's. They are discreet and are extremly profesional. I was a first timer when I came to Jodi. Her studio is clean, comfortable and convienent. I actually look forward to my monthly wax now. Jodi is wonderful and I would not go anywhere else. Wouldn't go back for a Brazilian 10/9/2006

I'm suprised to read all the reviews about great brazilians. It might have been the person who did mine but it was not done well at all. While she was very polite and friendly it was clear that she didn't have much experience waxing. Not only did she not apply anything to the area prior to applying the wax, but she would wax the same place over and over. She also only gave me wax off, no aloe or anything after the wax. I have been getting brazilians for over 4 years now and this was by far the most painful one I have ever received. There were some spots on my bikini line where the skin had clearly been ripped and it remained red and irritated for days. I am definitely not going back and I wouldn't recommend getting brazilians there. Pros: friendly staff Cons: inexperienced waxers more

Wonderful experience! 9/25/2006

I just have to say that I have been to a lot of places for microdermabrasion and I have to say this is the best! I don't know if it is the machine they use or what, but my skin looks and feels better than ever. My whole experience was very plesant all around! Very comfortable environment 9/25/2006

So my girlfriend finally convinced me to get my back waxed, and I have to admit it was a very painful, but comfortable experience. The pain was harsh, but it was over so quick I didn't have much time to think to think about it. My waxer made me feel very comfortable and I'll definately be back. more

I recently booked a facial at the Waxing Studio with Jodi and the experience was something I had to write about. I have been to dozens of spas in Austin & Dallas and the results were always mediocre. My facial with Jodi was truly the best I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable, didn't push products on me at the end of my visit and is extremely relaxing just to be around. From the moment I walked in the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating and it was exactly what I have been looking for. This place is truly the best in the Austin, take this advice from someone who has been a lot of places. Can't wait for my next appointment! more

My experience with the Waxing Studio was a very positive one. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and addressed my concerns very professionally. They were also very helpful in scheduling appointments around my very busy schedule. They are flexible and efficient, and I am very pleased with my results. They have a customer for life! Cute salon but HORRIBLE customer service! 9/15/2006

I had an appointment with the owner of the salon and tried to explain my one past experience with waxing (as the receptionist had suggested that I do). She did not care. She didn't want to hear anything besides the sound of my credit card swipe and me walking out of the door. I asked her to do a test strip and she decided to just go ahead and start waxing my eyebrows anyways. I walked out with red, puffy skin that has still not gone away (it's 26 hours later). Ideally we would have waxed somewhere not on my face and waited a few minutes to see how my skin would react. I refuse to go back. My eyebrows are uneven (something that I couldn't see with their dim lighting) and my boyfriend suggested that I go back and have them fix it. I told him that I would much rather walk around with uneven eyebrows than see her again. The front desk staff is wonderful and deserve to be working at a much better salon - as they do care about their customers - something the owner apparently frowns upon. I have been going to Maren since the waxing studio opened. She is very professional and knows what she is doing and talking about. I would go to one particular place to get my eyebrows waxed. Since I decided to try a new place, I will never go back. She does an excellent job waxing and has given me some good information and suggestions on skin care product. more

My sister and I came in this weekend and got facials and our eyebrows waxed. Maren was very attentive, and did the best job on our eyebrows. She makes you feel at ease, and listens to what you want. We both enjoyed our facials and loved our eyebrows! I recommend this place for great eyebrow shaping! more

Greatest skincare experience since LA 7/29/2006

I live in the Los Angeles area and was in Austin briefly working on a movie project. Let me tell you girl, my skincare person, was better than I've ever had in LA, and I have gotten a facial every 4 weeks for the last three years, so I consider myself somewhat of an expert. I would recommend this place to anyone. I wish she would open a location in LA, she definitely would have a brand new client! more

Quick but rushed 7/28/2006

This was my first brazilian and I have to admit, Jodi was fast as lightning. No time to think about the intense pain. That was very good. But I still felt rushed. When everything was done, I quickly looked it over and she was practically pushing me out the door. Overall, I'd say the job was pretty good (my boyfriend noticed a few spots she missed) but I really don't like the feeling of being pushed out. Pros: very quick, experienced, good after-products Cons: felt rushed, wasn't too friendly more

No burns, bruises or any other horrible things that I had happen with other people and their waxing abilities! I would highly recommend everyone to go there for waxing or any skin care! This place is the best. The decor is incredible and the service is even better. My waxer got right down to business. She proceeded to do my entire brazilian in 5 minutes! I'm normally a baby, but I didn't have any chance to react because by the time the pain registered, IT WAS ALREADY done! I was VERY impressed. Bikini waxes hurt, they always will, but wouldn't you rather it be intense and short than medium and take longer? I'm sure that I'll be back. I got my first full Brazilian wax here today, and it wasn't nearly as terrifying as folks make it out to be. The procedure didn't last for more than ten minutes, and although not entirely painless, it was done as professionally as it could have been. Totally exceeded my 'wax-spectations' 7/4/2006

I've had brazilian waxes done by MANY people over the years, and they are either fast but sloppy OR thorough and slow. This place is the whole package: quick, painless, and definitely thorough. She also made me feel very comfortable with an obviously not your everyday situation. I recommend her to everyone! You will not be dissappointed.
