Taking advantage of a bad situation 2/8/2011

I have been using Big Red's discount towing for over 3 years and they Charge me $60 for a regular tow. I went to start my car this morning and it wouldn't start I called them to have them jump start my car. They charged me $45 to jump start my car, that to me is unexceptable to charge $15 less than a tow to jump start a car. It is not like they have to move the car or anything. The owner started jabbering about insurance and the $80,000 price tag that he paid for the truck I didn't need to know all of that. I simply did not understand why they would charge $45 to jump start a car and $60 to tow it. Needless to say they have lost a loyal customer and I will never recommend anyone use their service. more

I have read reviews and thought I would post my latest experience. My car broke down and I needed a tow. Not only did the driver come within a reasonable time but the rate I was charged was slightly less than other rates I was quoted over the phone. \r \r It had been a while since I used them but once again the service was good. more

they tore up my car 8/19/2010

Horrible they charged me for a flatbed and used a regular truck. Charged $ 70 for two blocks. The driver wasnt familar with the truck he was driving. He tore up the front end under my car.Now I have to fix what they tore up as well as my ball joint. I will never use again and will tell EVERYONE I know not to use. Also the driver told me I had to go all the way to their office to get a simple receipt!! more

Will actually give a fair price if only towing a short distance!! 3/13/2009

Let's face it, if you're having your car towed or it's towed against your will....you're not having a good day. But this place actually did surprise me. They made a deal with me since I was only having my vehicle towed about 3-4 blocks. All other places charge an outrageous hook up fee. Hopefully I don't need a tow for a while, but i will definitely call these guys back if i need it. more

Wont use them again!! 6/10/2008

After reading the previous reviews, I was certain I would get good service, the guy on the phone said it would be at least 3hrs for them to get to me due to the flooding in the area and I said ok..4 1/2 hrs later they show up. The driver called and didnt even want to come but I explained to him, I've been waiting for hours and I was patient being it was a family owned company and being in America I like to support my fellow americans. He then decided to come but wasnt in any hurry. They also charged me $120 to go 6 miles. So, wont be using them again. more

Very prompt 11/4/2005

I have hired Big Red multiple times now to remove vehicles parked in my reserved apartment parking spot. They have never taken more than 20 minutes to arrive. From there, they've never taken very long to remove the offending car, either. Servicemen have always been polite (can't say the same about the one guy who noticed his car was being towed after it was already hooked up and ready to go!). I can't comment on their prices as I've never had to pay them for anything! more

I have used this towing company a couple of times. Big Red is very quick to get to me and was very careful and very professional. I will tell anyone who is needing road side service of any kind to call on Big Red more
