Best

Americas Best Value Inn is not far from old town Eureka where you can find many kinds of shops and resturants. And a nice walkboard. And the price is very reasonable.

Worst

All reviews seem positive

Friendly staff 11/16/2010

Great Service 11/8/2010

I was traveling by Amtrak with a bike. This inn is close to Amtrak station and at a reasonable price. more

Staff deserves an A. Very Friendly 10/29/2010

Because of late arrival and early departure we did not stay long, but accommodations were quite satisfactory and personnel were friendly more

Satisfying clean stay 10/8/2010

At the outset, the rooms seem to have been renovated. They were spacious and the geography was enchanting. The hotel staff were cooperative and courteous. Hospitality and cleaniliness were at par and the stay was satisfying. more

Friendly Staff 10/7/2010

For the money well worth it, staff was very friendly, coffee and rolls in the morning.. more

We would stay here again. :) 10/6/2010

This hotel is centrally located and convenient to everything in Flagstaff. The room was clean, and there was a mini-refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Check in was problem-free, and the staff was friendly. This is not a five star resort, but it is definitely a good deal for the money. We will stay here again. more

Good rates on the website. Clean rooms 9/29/2010

Served the purpose, stay one night on way to grand Canyon. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable. Would stay here again. Good rates on their websites. more

Location is good, got the room i wanted 9/21/2010

We separated a non-smoking room with two beds. The location is good. Is right in Route 66, so it was very easy to found it. The place look like you enter to another dimension, getting you to 30 years back. I went to the front desk and the boy, that is attending told me that my reservation didn't tell non-smoking room, and they called to Orbitz and they told them to give us the smoking room, it was a discussion but because I didn't have in that moment the copy of my reservation I decided to came to the room, but finally he gave me the non-smoking room. more

Home base between Grand Canyon and Sedona 9/16/2010

My 21 yr old daughter and I just spent 5 nights here over the Labor Day wkd. I had booked online knowing full well reviews were split between 'appreciative' and 'disgusted'. Life has taught me that you usually get what you pay for. I didn't expect THE RITZ for $50/night!?!?! The room was indeed small and smelled like it needed a good airing when we arrived. I immediately checked for cleanliness and it passed the test. Bedding and bathroom were impeccable. King-sized bed was surprisingly comfortable too. Room roughly 10x12ft was admittedly a little snug. I had read there would be no amenities so we brought our own. Turns out they have dispensers with Conditioning shampoo, body gel, liquid soap and lotion 'Natura' brand. Room also had a mini-refrigerator and a microwave. So those unhappy with the modest continental breakfast could easily pick up a couple things at the food store and make due. Otherwise, Galaxy diner across the Rte 66 makes very decent breakfast. Still, if you are looking just for a place to crash after a long day of sightseeing, using it merely as a homebase between the Grand Canyon and Sedona like we did, it more than fits the bill for the price we paid. Oh! And we weren't bothered by the trains at all. We were SO tired by the time we hit the sack, it didn't matter. more

laid back 8/20/2010

Here's where we come from: Our priority booking this hotel was value. we've been camping the week before checking in, so any place with warm running water that kept us from the 30 degrees chill outside was good. The avg mid week price for a good room in this area was $150ish. For a good cheap motel was $60-$70. I found this motel on Kayak without checking the TA reviews like I normally do, since we were on the road. The motel is basic and budget. It satisfied our needs. We paid $50 per 2 king bed rooms for one night. The room was clean. I did not find pubic hair on the sheets, the bathroom floor had no hair on it, there was no urine stain on the toilet. There were soap/shampoo/lotion dispensers on the wall. Indeed there was no deadbolt on the door, but the area seemed safe to us. As for the windows, there was a wooden stick that kept it from being opened from the outside. The noise from the highway did not keep me up at night. The two beds were separate by a wall and a door, which would be great for families. The breakfast was mostly packaged danishes, toast, coffee and juice...meager, but I didn't really care. All in all, I was surprised of all the bad reviews here. Isn't this what you expect when you book a hotel of this caliber? We ended up staying a second night, and I checked the pillows for hair and didn't find any. It appears the room was cleaned well. O, and I did not find any roaches like a prior reviewer mentioned. It made me think that the hotel might be under new management since all those poor reviews earlier this year, but the same family has been at the helm for the past 7 yrs. The second night we got a lower rate, and they even provided a 15% discount at a nearby Indian restaurant. I'd recommend this motel for any other laid back TAer who just wants an adequate place to lay down for the night. more

basic hotel 8/16/2010

Everytime boyfriend and I got to Flagstaff (which is a few times a year) we stay at this hotel - even back when it was ""Microtel"".It isn't the most fancy hotel ever BUT it is cheap and comfortable and the staff is super nice! It is right next to a gas station and a 24 hour mini-mart/McDonald's/Subway - but those are far enough to not interfere with your stay (with noise, lights, etc...)If you just need a place to sleep, with the basic stuff (plus a few extras like microwave, plenty of movies, and mini-fridge) then go here more

good stay 8/10/2010

Well coming back from california i booked priceline and got the same hotel. Different room this time. Room was clean though no deadbolts on doors. There was a police car sitting in the lot next door, i think they were watching for speeders on route 66. Trains rain all night but not very loud inside of room. Lots of traffic and lots of seedy hotels in this whole area of route66 but i would say this one looked and safest and i had no problems whatsoever here. they had a small free breakfast of some cereal , toast and some donut type things in the morning, which was nice and unexpected. coffee very good, all rooms have a microwave, mini refrigerator and if you want internet they will give you a code free to use wireless. small coffee pot in room as well. not sure why so many bad reviews on this place , its not the hilton but for 22 bucs, i didnt expect it to be! more

great location 7/26/2010

The location is great (right on the RT 66, near the university, and ""close enough"" to down town""). Once we got in the room, I appreciated the call from the front desk making sure we were satisfied with it. The staff is helpful and made great recommendations for hikes in the area. I've stayed here before and can tell there's a new coat of paint on the walls! Also, the train and RT 66 is near by, but neither kept me up at night. more
