Great family friendly restaurant; great buffet 1/25/2008

Beijing is a great restaurant. The food is hot and fresh. The food is delicious and it has a good family atmosphere if you have kids. Try the lo mein as well as the wonton soup. Great price and service. The only Chinese restaurant that I will go to in the FM 1960 area. The food is fresh and nicely spiced. Been going there since the 1980s and it has only gotten better over the years. more

Made me sick. 12/28/2006

I went to Beijing after getting a buffet coupon off the back of a Kroger receipt. The food seemed like it would be Ok. But a little bit later I got terrible food sickness. My husband also got it. I was hospitalized for it. The service was also very bad. They did not seem to want to honor my coupon. Pros: I got lured in with a coupon Cons: Became very ill from their food more

excellant buffet 7/22/2006

i enjoy their hot & sour soup enough to get two bowls every time i go there. really good food. i've been going there for about a year, it's my favorite chinese restaurant on 1960. opens at 11:30, which is a bit later than some others, but worth the wait. Pros: opens just a bit later than others, at 11:30 Cons: top notch food and service more

Although presenty closed for remodeling, Beijing is the ONLY chinese restaurant that I will eat at. I've tried a few others only to be disappointed by food that has been sitting on the buffet bar since the restaurant opened in the late morning or by news reports of asian restaurants using other kinds of meat (muskrat) instead of chicken in their food. The service is friendly, it is uniquely designed and the food is always fresh and hot. more

Family lunches here are good, even my picky eaters can find something they like on the buffet. Not awesome food, but its good. Pros: budget pleaser, spacious, kid friendlywaitstaff more
