The Deep Dish Meatza was bland. No 8/18/2012

The Deep Dish Meatza was bland. No flavor at all. Pizza Hut would have been better. The wings were some of the best that I have ever had though. If I go back, it will be for the wings, not the pizza. more

pizza masters 11/19/2010

If your a pizza person, then you probably already know about barry's. they're fresh and have real ingredients compared to chains and newer company's. They're a little expensive, but just as in anything else, you get what you pay for. Their delivery drivers are awesome as well. more

I Love It!!!! 11/19/2010

I've been eating their pizza for 19 years and it has never gotten old. My favorite is their BBQ chicken sicilian style pizza. It's perfect as is and have not had a better one anywhere else. I recommend this to anybody who wants a real pizza. There's no sewage smell...wtf. more

Pretty stinky, literally! 7/6/2009

There was a sewage smell constant everywhere, service friendly but not experienced, and overpriced for what was bread with sauce and cheese. \r more

Great Pizza So Why Is The Service Below Avg. 11/29/2008

I heard the pizza was supposed to be great from a few ppl. So I took my girlfriend and co worker. The pizza is really good. I don't care too much for deep dish, but we gave it a try. I'm glad we did. One problem though. Our waiter sucked. He acted like it was a problem to wait on us and if we asked a question he just answered real short. No one smiled except one younger guy who seated us. Other than that the mood was bad. I'm sure we won't be back. Just because you have a great product doesn't mean it sells itself. So if anyone from management looks at this please get your staff in line. more

First time is the best 11/21/2008

I heard so much hype I had to try Barry's Pizza. It really is different and I really enjoyed it the first time. I have been back several times and no matter what I get somehow it all tastes the same. It is distinctive Barry's but it all tastes the same and it is now seeming mediocre. I would recommend that everybody try it ""once"". more

The King Kong of Pizza 2/19/2008

This place was once known as ?Eddie?s Pizza? which was located in Windsor Plaza at Sage and Richmond. Forget any sandwiches or really anything but the ?Deep Dish Sicilian Special?. Yes it?s thick and the sauce is spicy (the best part). Sourdough crust that is hand made on site and fresh ingredients. This is my favorite in Houston. But you have to like deep dish or you?re lost here. The bread sticks are really good as well. Beer is cold; what else is there to ask for. It has pleasant wait-staff and a ?Cheers? type atmosphere for me. Go watch a football game and eat pizza; laugh, drink and enjoy yourself with friends. I?ve driven across town many times to eat and carry one home for later. Pros: Best Deep Dish In Houston Cons: A long way for me to drive more

Did not like 1/25/2008

I had never heard of this place (yes, I'm a native Houstonian) so when I moved into the neighborhood, I thought this might be a nice place to get some pizza. I was so not happy. Way too much sauce on the pie. It was big and square (not that that effects the taste) and with the way they had cut it, all the cheese had slide off the slices. The deep dish was greasy. I haven't been back since. Maybe it was just an off night. I dunno. I heard they have a lot of other items to choose from, but I was so turned off my the mess of a pizza I got, that I have not been back since. Cons: Pricey, saucy, and so not worth it more

pizza!!!What pizza ??? 1/9/2008

I'm very suprised by some of the reviews in this web sit !!! after I read some of the reviews I wanted to give BARRY PIZZA atry. I dont know where to start, the chicken sandwich was one of the worst I got it was microwaved pre cooked chicken breast !!!! no doubt about that the bun(sub roll) was not toasted or even warm!!!! the lunch pizza... what pizza... the dough with bland sauce...Oh that one, need to say more? more

Best Deep dish ever 12/27/2007

We LOVE Barry's Pizza. Delicious and well-priced. If you like deep-dish try the Sicilian. Tip: if you don't have a lot of time, call ahead with your pizza order so the pizza is cooked when you get there. Pros: Delicious. Good for families and groups. Decent wines. YUM! Cons: Occasionally they get my order wrong but the pizza is really good, so I deal with it!! more

good pizza 9/22/2007

I love the taste of your pizza guys. will call again and recommend you guys to my friends and family more

not all that romantic, but still a good place for a date! 5/15/2007

So it was our 1st date and I was expecting something like Olive Garden! Instead... I get Barry's Pizza! =/ He lost a couple point there but I decided to give it a try anyways... The pizza was awesome! The service was great! And just the whole atmosphere was good! I would recomend this place if you're with a lot of friends... just to have a good time!! Even though I've only been there once.... I've been wanting to go back but wasn't sure of the location! But know I got it and I guarantee I'm going to be showing up there with some friends!! Pros: great food... great service Cons: maybe the price is a little to steep for pizza.... but I didn't pay so I'm not complaining! more

Very Good Pizza 4/24/2007

After moving to Houston, I tried all of the top rated pizza places, and Barry's is one of the best. The deep dish is the best in town, and the thin crust is very good. The atmosphere and service are good, and we have never had to wait to be seated. It is a little pricey for pizza, but not much different than comparable pizza places. Pros: Great pizza, Best Deep Dish in town Cons: Price more

Deep Dish is fantastic 11/24/2006

This is the only pizza joint in houston that my wife will have deep dish crust. So when the family wants a good thick pizza, this is where we go. Pros: deep dish pizza Cons: sometimes rather light on staff more

Deep Dish... 11/5/2006

Their deep dish pizza is the best in Houston since Uno's is gone. One slice is usually filling enough. more

Best pizza in town 8/22/2006

This is the best pizza I've had in Houston. I went to several other places, and was disappointed. Their deep dish is especially delicious, and they don't skimp on the sauce or the toppings. Pros: lots of toppings to choose from & other great pastas more

Barry's Blows the Others Away 5/11/2006

I have been going to Barry's since its inception over 20 years ago. They have the best deep dish pizza in town. No one comes close. Get the Meat Lovers or try the Fajita Pizza, both are excellent. Have a brew on draft then catch a game in front of the big screen. How did New York Pizzeria even make the list???? Completely overrated! If you want a sure thing go to Barry's. Pros: Deep Dish, Big Screen, Beer on draft more

deep dish only 1/19/2006

title says it all. the deep dish in any variation will leave you with a grin. service is so-so, wine menu is average, QUALITY cheeses & sauces and THE BEST deep dish in the city Ive had yet. p.s. - the margarita pizza is worth a look Pros: deep dish pizza, ingrediants, value Cons: service more

Fajita Pizza is way to go!!!!!!!!!!!! 1/11/2006

I have to have my pizza fix, I go to Barry's and order the fajita pizza. My husband took me there for lunch, now all I do is crave that pizza. I can't comment on the other pizza's, but if it is as good as the fajita one it will be worth the trip. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach. Reheats well, I always make sure I have left-overs. Once your hooked on this pizza the price does not matter, IT IS SO WORTH IT. Pros: sauce very good, lots of cheese, lots of toppings Cons: pricy more

awesome pizza 6/23/2005

wow, i've had deep dish in Chicago and at Barry's the meatza is just as good as theirs, and the price isn't that bad for the amount that you get Pros: food more
