We just had our wedding reception for 250 people catered by Ritz Catering at the Diamond Bar Community Center. I cannot say enough good things about them. Let me first say that I was VERY SKEPTICAL in the beginning after reading a couple of negative reviews that had been previously posted. I will be the first to say that I think they are a professional and caring family owned business! We ended up doing a tasting and the food was great! We booked with Jarrett at Ritz and we were so excited. He was always there and answered all of our emails and calls. Our wedding day was PERFECT! The event supervisor that Ritz assigned to us was so nice and accommodating to us. We felt so bad for one of the staff because we had a family member throw up all over one of the tables and one of the servers did not even hesitate to start cleaning it up and then he re set the table. The food was even better at the wedding than at the tasting which we could not even believe. All of our family and friends are still telling us about how good the food was. Every thing was the way we wanted- the cake, the food, the appetizers, the toast, even the table linen colors. I will refer Jarrett and Ritz Catering to anyone I know! They made all the difference at our reception! more

I’ve never met or dealt with such a wonderful and more professional company. I’m so happy we decided to use Ritz for our wedding. We found them online like everyone else it seems and we called and talked to Jarrett and set up an appointment to meet and look at pricing and we also went in for a tasting of the Ritz Buffet. First off, the food was AMAZING at the tasting and especially at our wedding; our guests are still talking about it. Right before we decided to book them, we saw some of these reviews that made us nervous. I called their office and talked to Jarrett and explained my concerns and he was so nice and open about everything. It was calming to us that he still knew all of those people and the details of their weddings and why they left a not so nice review. He explained to us everything that had happened and that what was written in the reviews was not true. He even showed us some of the parts of those party orders that had nothing to do with what was said on those reviews. \r We ended up booking with Ritz and it was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. The whole experience was great. Jarrett always was there to answer questions and always returned emails and calls. I must have met with them to look at linen colors and revise my contract 6 or 7 times and it was always so quick and easy. They were so friendly and professional and really took care of us. The tables and place settings were beautiful, the buffet was beautiful, and the food was SO GOOD! We also got our cake through them and it came out just as we wanted it and it was so good. We had our reception at the Diamond Bar Community Center and the only hiccup was with them. The center made a mistake on the time schedule and would not let Ritz get into the hall on time to do all the decorating and set up. They must have worked like crazy because all of it was taken care of and ready while our ceremony was going on. In short, I’m so happy we used them! I will refer them to EVERYONE I KNOW. The only advice I would give to anyone is to call and talk to them and don’t worry or listen to some of the bad things said. \r more

The Stress Free Caterer for my Perfect Wedding 5/14/2010

when we first got engaged, was so eager to get married and find a caterer. I jumped on Google and found Ritz Catering on the first page and decided to give them a try. I chose Ritz because they were the only caterer that called me right back and scheduled a time for us to do a tasting, get an estimate and make the plans for my special day so quickly. I met Jarrett and he was very friendly and funny. It was easy and stress free- they just seemed to know everything and took care of everything. They did the catering, the set up, flowers, cake, and had all the referrals for the other vendors I needed. On the day of the wedding, I was pleased to see that they were so professional and though this was my one and only wedding, They seemed like they had done thousands! Everything was so easy going and I didn't have to worry about anything. Surprisingly, one of my favorite things was that all the supervisors and even Jarrett himself spoke spanish and were able to help my family members that had come from out of the country that didn't speak english. The food looked as good as it tasted and there was more than enough. needless to say, It was great and I would not use anyone else but RITZ. Thank you for an amazing wedding. more

Thank you so much RITZ CATERING 5/14/2010

I just had my wedding done by Ritz Catering and it was just perfect!!! I first met with Jarrett and we went over all of the different options and menus that my fiance, now wife, could go with and then he let us just create what we wanted to see and have. On the day of the reception, the decorations were just as we expected, the staff was delightful and friendly, and the food was amazing. We had the Ritz Buffet along with a Pasta Bar. What was most impressive, was when we had 25 extra people come, there was no problem. They quickly were able to prepare extra food and set tables and everything went off without a hitch. I would recommend RITZ CATERING to anyone and everyone! Thank you RITZ!!! more

The Best Caterer ever!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! 5/14/2010

I noticed the Horrible review written before me and I am so sorry to Ritz for the awful review. I had quite the opposite experience. They worked with me from the very beginning and were so delightful. Jarrett was the nicest man and BENT OVER BACKWARDS for us. It really says something about the people who dont have anything nice to say. They probably werent the nicest people to work with. We have maintained a relationship with Jarrett at Ritz and have had him and another staff member over for a BBQ since our wedding. I loved my beautiful fall wedding. I could not have asked for a better reception. The food was amazing and all of our guests enjoyed themselves (we had about 300 friends & family attend). We were and are still so pleased with our special day. Thank you so much Ritz Catering and your great staff! more

Don't ruin your day with Ritz 10/9/2008

Stay away! I paid for 130 guests, Ritz supposedly plans for 10 more. 100 show up and Ritz ran out of food! The owner says it was because his food was so good! Only 2 people complimented the chocolate, which he did not make!\r \r They put out water glasses but no water. I had to request another table be set up. No one kept an eye on the food quantity. They did not serve the champagne or cake as expected - the bottles were put on the table and the guests had to get their own cake. I brought everything for the hosted (free) bar, their bartender put out a tip jar! Guests should never have to pay anything at a hosted bar.\r \r Wait, there's more. The first meeting, he screwed up the times and didn't show. Later I tried to reach the same guy but his brother kept calling with his sales pitch, he didn't even know Ritz already had the job. \r \r The day of the party a woman came in asking about the caterer. She had a party 5 months earlier and was still waiting for her deposit to be returned! \r \r The coordinator told one of the guests that they planned for 100 people. My guest informed her that it should be 130. The coordinator pulled out the paperwork and realized she was wrong. \r \r By the way, the owner was no where to be found during or after the party. Supposedly he was the one that went out to get more sausage.\r \r Believe it or not, there is more. But this is certainly enough for you to make a decision on this shoddy business. more

Horrible nightmare 11/16/2007

The Wedding day, Ethan and I arranged to meet at the reception location at 10am, 10:15 comes and I'm very upset. A Bride has so many other things to worry about, this was very frustrating. I call Ethan and he tells me to go around to the back that someone is there,he was very rude to me.I meet the guy in the back and give him a bag with all the important things, Our cake topper (that took me months to decide on) The cake cutter and server (my grandma gave me and had nicely engraved) and our toasting glasses. I leave there feeling concerned. My Mother in law goes to the reception location later in the day and they are taking flowers from our centerpieces to put on our Wedding Cake, I paid Ethan to make the cake and decorate it and he took flowers from our centerpieces.\r we get married and we walk in to the reception We sit down and i notice our glasses are not there, I notice my cake topper is not on the cake and neither are our serving stuff. I find Ethan and he says the guy that he had meet me there did not tell anyone about all of my stuff in the bag all of my Wedding pictures of the cake do not have our cake topper on them. The worst thing was Ethan was not even nice about it. I really feel that Ritz Catering is a bad organization to select on such an important day.Ethan was so careless I would never ever recommend then to anyone, that is why I want to tell my story to whoever will listen.DO NOT i mean DO NOT choose his Brother in Law to be your DJ, what a absolute nightmare. I made a list of the kind of music we wanted and he must of blew his nose with it because he was completely horrible. To top it off I wanted Marvin Gaye ""lets get it on"" as the last dance and he played ""Sexual healing.""\r I can't say enough how much these guys let me down, please spend your money elsewhere. The food was not even worth mentioning. I got the chicken. Good Luck to anyone who chooses Ritz. Pros: The Reception place was nice (nothing to do with Ritz Catering) Cons: Customer Service was the worst. more
