Bakersfield Spay Clinic

Wow, I called to get a dog and a cat spayed and I needed it done right away. This clinic was able to get me in right away and the price was very low! Naturally I thought I was going to get what I paid for...I was so surprised to walk in to a nice clean facility and be treated so nicely by a warm staff. They made some great recommendations and I am seeing the doctor for my dog's follow up in two weeks. So far I am impressed! more

I have been taking wild and stray cats I have been trapping in and around my neighborhood to Dr. Paulson for years now and I am very happy. Other hospitals in town are less then accomidating to take in these less then nice cats for spay and neuters on such short notice. They have been so careing and helpful when presented with these stray, wild cats that present so many challenges I'm sure. Their prices are really good and its nice of them to always fit me into their schedule on such short notice most of the time. more

Dr Paulson is a wonderful vet. I have taken my animals to him for years. Today on the other hand I took my cat to be neutered and was told it would cost more then what I was quoted on the phone. On top of this I ask for info re: any voucher programs and Alecia "had no idea" Sorry Dr Paulson you just lost a few clients. I will be spending my money elswhere. more

Dr. Paulson was extremely professional. His prices are the most reasonable in town and I have seen multiple doctors in my lifetime. I have three cats and a dog and Dr. Paulson genuinely cares for them. I am confident in the fact that if there were to ever be an emergency, Dr. Paulson would diligenetly respond and do his best to help my animal. The wait is a little long, however every time I go into his office I get the same attention and time as all of the other patients. Dr. Paulson is extremely thorough and intelligent and his staff is extremely friendly and great! more

I recently had to have my 9 year dog put to sleep after finding that his illness was not going to get any better. I have taken my pets to Dr. Paulson for several years but, never expected the following. During the long process of lab work Xrays and medical exams I found that Dr. Paulson's care and compassion for my pet met and exceeded my expectations. He worked diligently to treat and diagnose my pet. When it was apparent that the end was here Dr. Paulson showed real sorrow for me. The "real" caring and understanding I received from the staff was remarkable. When the decision was made I had to call for that awful appointment the receptionist Alicia was compassionate and made the hardest part easier. When I went alone to do the procedure I was not expecting the emotion to pour out of me the way it did but, I was not alone a caring shoulder was there for me. I think her name was Melissa. I took my cat in to be spayed on 06/05/09 - I was told to pick her up the same day at 5pm. I was given paperwork that stated that in order for my animal to receive PAIN RELIEF I needed to...\r \r I took my cat in to be spayed on 06/05/09 - I was told to pick her up the same day at 5pm. I was given paperwork that stated that in order for my animal to receive PAIN RELIEF I needed to call them before noon or none would be administered. The paperwork also stated that pick up was between 5 & 6pm.\r \r I sent my son to pick our cat up because I had to work late. He arrived just minutes after 5pm (from across town, no less) and was told that whomever could release our pet had "just left" and we would not be able to get our cat. I have called this vet a few times with questions when my regular vet is not open. They have great hours and they are always more than happy to answer my questions. I am very satisfied with their friendliness and professionalism. The staff who answer the phones are very nice and give you a nice greating that makes you feel comforatable with them. I think this is a wonderful vet who really cares about your pets. more

I had my dog spayed here and I was pleased with the care they gave her. They were so sweet to me and my dog through the whole process. I go the genuine feeling that they truely care about their patients. The office provided me with detailed instructions after the surgery so I knew exactly what to do to properly care for my animal. more
