Best

As a renter of a property managed by Ritan Property Group for over 4 years , I was extremely pleased with the experience. They were very prompt to respond when I contacted them ...

Worst

Take a few moments to search the web to learn the truth about Ritan Co., then run away as fast as you can. The outfit is run to the tune of a very shady small-time shyster.

Overall- very good experience with Ritan Group- right from sales to support to move-out. Thank you more

I have been using RPG for over a year now and they have been excellent. I love how they handle my tenants calls whenever there is a leaky faucet. I'm so glad I don't have to take those phone calls all times of the night and they take care of all of the repairs at a reasonable cost (I check the cost with my rehab contractor). more

Everyone that I encountered in going through the steps in renting a home were very knowledgable, kind, and patient with me. more

I have yet to have a problem with ritan property group they have been on time and they get the job done when asked of them. I am very happy with their service and I know I can sleep knowing they are here to serve the tenants. The staff are friendly and always on top of things I would recommend ritan property group to anyone looking for a full real estate management team. more

Most unorganized, unprofessional, and just plain rude management group. They are a SCAM!! Always looking for any situation in which they can charge you more money. They treat their tenants poorly with no respect. They take weeks to even respond to a maintance issue, meanwhile expecting me to still pay rent on a timely manner, and live without the aminites they advertised; such as power (took three weeks to resolve the issue of half the house not having power). Heat (Billed us for repairs to the furnace-2 months without heat), and ignored all maintaince request, emails, and phone calls, that a tree had crashed on our roof. It took them 4 1/2 weeks and a threatening email that I would hire a roofing and tree company and bill them before they even made a productive response about it. And even then they removed the tree, but did not replace the shingles, repair the sideing and gutters, or have the roof inspected for structural damage. I wonder how much they actually inform the owners of what is going on at their property. However, they willl not disclose owner info to tenants. I had to do a property search myself. I think the owner of this house should be fully informed of the issues especially if they are a hazard to their investment. They are more concerned with making more money than spending a little to make sure their tenants live in a suitable enviroment. Will never rent from them again! more

I decided to use Ritan because the owner (Andy Ritan) came to my house personally to brief me on his company, he was prepared with an analysis of rental properties in the area and showed a real interest in making this a pain free experience. Here is where Andy Ritan and Ritan property?s group compassion and care for a pain free experience ends. Ritan Property group was my management company for 2 years while I was away and I have now returned back to my home to an absolute mess. more

DO NOT work w/ Ritan! Completely unethical & unprofessional! 4/9/2012

Do not, and I mean do NOT do business with Ritan Property group! I am a college student in the Atlanta area who will be graduating from Georgia Tech at the end of this summer. My mother and I began looking for a one bedroom apartment for me to live in after graduation when we stumbled upon a listing Ritan Property Group had available. I contacted the company, told them I was interested, saw the property, and decided I wanted to apply the next day. I applied with my mother as a cosigner. Then things started getting fishy when they made my mom pay an extra $50 application fee just to be the cosigner, but we obliged. After submitting my application, I was told within 2 hours that my application had been approved without my mother as a cosigner. They also told me that another application had been submitted and approved, but whoever paid the good faith deposit first would secure the apartment. Long story short, we beat the other applicant, were told the apartment was ours, and started making plans for the lease and security deposit. Four days later, I received a phone call from a Ritan employee who stated that I hadn't submitted my application fee. After proving that I had, I received another call from the same employee who stated that because my mother didn't submit a full application, my application was incomplete (EVEN THOUGH the very same employee told me that I had been approved and the apartment was mine!). So they said they gave the apartment to the other applicant but tried to convince me to apply for another property they had listed with a monthly rent over $100 more than the apartment I had originally applied for. The employee I spoke with did not even apologize or say that this was her mistake. Once my mother found out about this, she not only spoke to the employee we had originally be corresponding with, but she also spoke to her supervisor and Andy Ritan himself. Not only was Andy Ritan extremely rude to my mother, but he definitely did not behave in the manner such as one would hope to expect from a hospital chaplain and MINISTER! He also did not live up to the standards listed on his website that describe ""a property management process that is effective, efficient and respectful to all concerned."" Andy Ritan and his property group are an outstanding example of exactly the type of unethical and unprofessional people that make finding a new residence one of the most frustrating processes I have ever experienced. more

This company will scam you, please avoid! 11/11/2011

We filled out all the paperwork for Ritan Property Group to manage our property and we got scammed by them, never ever do business with Ritan Property Group!!! We paid the $400 check to them which was $200 in fees and $200 to change the locks and after they took the money and changed the locks, they send us a bill for $2500 stating you need to do all of the following to your home which was BRAND NEW! We call them and told them we don't mind changing the batteries on the fire alarms even though we recently changed them and don't mind painting the only room that was painted the master bedroom but other things like change all the lights in the house which all worked fine and the house was under warranty were not necessary and we were told we don't have to change them if we don't want to but these things increase the chances of renting our property out. Then the owner of the company calls us which is Andy Ritan and states sorry but we HAVE TO do all of the items in the bill for $2500 and we cannot do them ourselves, the company obviously wanted to do it and make money on us. We said the last lady we spoke to told us we didn't have to and the owner got mad and yelled at me and even cursed during the interaction, I asked for my money back (The $400 check) and was told not only was that none refundable but we also are going to be billed another $90 for additional fees AND he told us he will not work with us! He stated hes the owner and over rules everyone there and he chooses to terminate us as a customer! The nerve! So he took the money and scammed us and god knows how many other people have been scammed by this company, my next step is to send this to all the local news media also, NEVER EVER go to this company, the whole thing is a scam and the owner is rude and disrespectful and will steal from you! more
