Taste of the Tropics 3/26/2006

Bahama Breeze is a really great new style restaurant. The atmosphere is really relaxed and comfortable and makes you feel like your on vacation. The staff are super friendly and the service is great. The food is very fresh with a unique tropical flair on the dishes. The weekends are super crowded so typically I would suggest trying a weeknight for dinner. more

Pretty Good Food 11/11/2005

The food at Bahama Breeze is pretty good, there's nothing to complain about. I guess it would seem better if i weren't so pricey! The prices are more in line with NYC than Tampa Bay, in my opinion. But the main reason to come here seems to be for the outdoor bar. It gets really packed! Especially with the after-work crowd. A great place for a pina colada to watch the sunset. more

Not the best for large groups 8/26/2005

Bahama Breeze is a fun place to o for happy hour with a couple of friends. It is not a great place to go for happy hour with a lot of people. All of the tables are literally bolted to the floor, so if you bring a group of more than about 6, you either have to take up a huge amount of the space outside, and surround multiple tables, or you have to sit at separate tables inside. The drinks are alright, but very pricey and they could certainly put more liquor in the mixed drinks. The appetizers are good though! The atmosophere is pleasant and there's usually a nice breeze. If you're sitting outside, the live music makes it too hard to talk much to your party. more

Good Happy hour 7/28/2005

They have a real good happy hour. You can eat outside by the water which is very romantic. They usually have a live band at night during happy hour. Everyone seems to dress in Hawaiian shirts. It's a nice place to go for a sit down restaurant. They are kind of "pushy" when it comes to drinking but that really isn't a complainant. more
