We have many trees on our property, and new to our home. The trees were in bad shape and in desperate need of some major pruning. They charge nothing to come out and give an estimate, and will even print out the estimate on professional letterhead while on-site. They are technical! They have the only Master Arborist in Austin. The crew were well trained and very thorough. They left no limbs behind! Earlier in the year a fly by night door-to-door tree trimming crew (Schwartz??) trimmed limbs away from the house. They left huge limbs in the back yard, and I had to break down and dispose of myself. The ATE estimate includes hauling your limbs for you.\r \r Their website offers online payments and tree history. My entire experience with Austin Tree Experts has been excellent. They have a great website where you can create an account, request an estimate, receive a proposal and approve the work you desire. The friendly, efficient office staff contacts you and schedules the day and time for the work. I also wanted to meet with a certified arborist to find out what kind of trees I have in my yard and which work would most benefit their health. Keith, an ISA certified arborist, was professional and knowledgeable. We walked through the yard and he told me what each tree was and the work needed. He answered every question I had and gave me some good advice on how to prolong the life of a peach tree. The estimate for the work was on the website a few hours later. I really like being able to review the work and approve only the work I wanted to get done. Keith and the Austin Tree Experts crew arrived exactly when they said they would. Keith told the crew the work that needed to be done, and they immediately went to work. This was a hard-working, professional crew. They pruned and removed dead wood on a very large mulberry tree and a smaller oak in the front yard, two large trees (sycamore and parasaol) in the backyard plus removed two large Hackberry tree branches (from neighbor's yard) and a small oak that was growing into power lines. Then they got on the roof and removed multiple branches from various trees that were hitting the roof and destroying roof shingles. Once the job was done, Luis walked with me around the property so I could see the work that had been done and to make sure I was satisfied. They did an excellent job. All the trees look so good now and it's great to not have to worry about branches hitting the roof anymore. I highly recommend Austin Tree Experts. We hired Austin Tree Experts at our condo office complex. With over 200 trees, we needed a company that could do a good job and come in on budget. These guys did a great job. They raised the canopy and pruned the trees back from the buildings so that they still looked natural (not stubbed) - a requirement, in my book, since I am a horticulturalist. The crews were polite and worked around our owners and clients safely. They were on time and went above and beyond to make sure that we were pleased with their work. The first time I made an appointment for them to come out to trim my trees they canceled 2 hours before hand. So, I figured give them another chance and re-schedule. The second appointment they didn't even bother to cancel they just didn't show up. So if you want a tree trimming company that is as punctual and serious about their appointments go ahead and use these guys. Thanks for wasting my time. I called Austin Tree Experts to come in May. Their quote was $1,200. I called around and there were cheaper prices, I have to admit, but I figured ?You get what you pay for?. \r \r On the day that they were supposed to come, I called them to see why they hadn?t arrived. They had rescheduled the appointment without informing me. The new scheduled appointment..? One full month later! \r \r The laborers ""finished"" their work in four hours. What they did could have been done in two. I spent too much time cleaning up their ""finished"" work. They left enough twigs and debris to fill a 30 gallon trash can.\r \r Two days later the stump grinder operator came. He worked for 45 minutes, with two breaks that he needed. There were chunks of wood all over the yard that he made very little effort to clean up. As he was leaving, his truck dumped wood chips all over the street. He ignored this and I decided to leave the mess.\r \r A few days later they called me and I gave them my complaint. I was told that they would send someone out to check on it on a Friday. I was here on that Friday and the doorbell never rang nor did I see them. A week later they phoned me again. Apparently someone had come to inspect the work while I was waiting. I asked why they didn?t clean the mess up. Their response was ?He said it looked fine?. \r \r I will reluctantly pay this bill. However, I hope that they can learn from their mistakes, or at least you will learn from mine.\r \r Overview: My experience with Austin Tree Experts was unpleasant. After booking appointment online, then confirming appointment over the phone, I thought I was off to a good start with Austin Tree Experts. All seemed in order until they failed to show up for the appointment, failed to apologize, and seemed too busy to make it a priority to get someone out to reschedule right away.\r \r Be ware, I when I asked how long it would take to reschedule, it was another week--even though they missed the appointment! Huh? When I asked how long it would take before they would start any new work, it was an additional 2 weeks! \r \r These guys are in no hurry to serve their customers as the other posts claim. I requested several estimates when looking into having my trees done. Micah came out on a rainy day, right on schedule and gave me a quick estimate along with detailed information regarding what would be included. The level of professionalism that I received from all of the staff at Austin Tree Experts, in comparison, to some other companies that came out was night and day and the prices were extremely competitive. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and had answers to all of my questions. My backyard is once again my favorite place to be, my trees look a hundred times better than before! My husband and I were VERY impressed with Austin Tree Experts. They were prompt, both with the consultation and the trimming. Emily came to do the consultation and give us the quote, and she was awesome! Very knowledgeable and helpful about what needed to be done, and what didn't. She even explained what I need to do to properly train a baby magnolia my late father-in-law gave me just before he died. When the three-man crew came to actually trim the trees, they were quick and professional. They treated all the open wounds on the oaks. They cleaned up ALL of the mess. By watching, I could see that they were taking great care with which branches to remove to create, long-term, the best and healthiest tree and canopy. I totally recommend these guys! more

We have two maples and a pistache all who had suffered minor damage in an ice storm. The limbs were hard to reach and some of them dangled over the driveway. We have two post oak, a live oak and a mulberry in the back yard that all needed trimming. There were several high branches of the oaks beginning to touch the roof and chimney, so we needed some professional maintenance. We learned of Austin Tree Experts from a flier distributed in our neighborhood so I called for a free estimate. Arborist Micah Burns came to the house and gave my husband an on-the-spot report regarding the health of the trees and his recommendations for what should be trimmed. Micah even made recommendations of what tree to plant where we had recently lost a tree. A detailed quote which included trimming the trees, eliminating suckers and unwanted saplings was emailed to us for authorization. We looked over the quote and authorized it. Veronica Fuentes set up our appointment. The three man crew was efficient, professional and thorough. They blew all the leaves off the roof and raked up our yards after hauling all branches to their trailer. They treated all fresh cuts with black sealer, and even sealed another tree that had been incorrectly trimmed by another company by the previous owner. Everything I asked for and more were provided for a very reasonable price. I was able to pay my bill via their web site the same day after receiving my invoice via email. We have a huge live oak with beautiful, low hanging branches that we enjoy for the privacy and grace they add to the back yard. However, some branches hung too low to walk under and we were concerned they might break if we had an ice storm. I don't normally write reviews, I read them. In this case, I had to take a moment and say how pleased I was with the service I got from Austin Tree Experts. \r \r I had Keith come and give me an estimate and his prices seemed very reasonable. He gave me a completel estimate for my entire back yard, even though he knew I was really just interested in 2 trees in particular. He allowed me to pick and choose which trees I wanted worked on and made some very helpful suggestions along the way.\r \r We had to reschedule a few times because of the terrible rains we've had, which was completely understandable. Once they came and 'did their majic' it was worth any rescheduling efforts.\r \r The crew was in and out before I knew it and they cleaned up every single bit and hauled it off. They trimmed my trees beautifully and did much more extensive work than I had anticipated.\r \r I will most CERTAINLY use them again to help in the front yard.
