I started seeing Dr. Justin Swanson for migraine headaches this past summer when I moved to the Austin/ Round Rock area. This was the best decision I ever made! The overall office visit takes a matter of minutes with little to no wait every single time. It was my first Chiropractic experience and I was understandably nervous, apprehensive, and skeptical. All of these feelings went away in a matter of minutes. Dr. Swanson made me feel welcome and answered all of my questions. His demeanor is so calm and relaxed. He is concerned with the overall person, not just Chiropractic. Every since I started seeing him my life has changed dramatically with less frequent and less severe headaches. He comes up with a comprehensive treatment to meet individual needs. If I could describe him in one word, that word would be GENUINE. \r \r Heather, his receptionist is also exceptional. She has never failed to greet my partner and I with a smile. I never knew that I would love Chiropractic so much. I have been a patient of Dr. Swanson's for many years now. He has helped me through so many situations including post-car accident, migraines, wrist problems and prenatal care. I had never really had any hip pain before but about a year ago I started having serious problems. So bad that I could no longer work out or ride my bike or sometimes even walk without sharp pain. I believe in chiropractic care. I have had four great chiropractors over the last 30 years that have helped in relieving the pain from having rheumatoid arthritis. I have recently moved to Texas, and found a local chiropractor to treat me for severe pain in my right shoulder which, I had been suffering from for three months. The pain woke me up two to three times during the night and often was not able to go back to sleep. While I don't live in Austin, Dr. Swanson came highly recommended by a family member. I decided to make a trip to Austin to visit my family and made an appointment to see Dr. Swanson too. I was impressed with the comprehensive consultation I received. Dr. Swanson was very thorough and asked many pertinent questions in regards to my current and past problems. After discussing my condition we both agreed that Xrays would be the next step to evaluate my condition. Knowing that I was only going to be in town over the weekend, Dr. Swanson stayed after hours to take time to go over the Xrays with me and to give me an adjustment. Also, he performed a series of ""muscle tests"", to determine where my arm/shoulders were and adjusted them accordingly. Then, he repeated the the muscle test and I felt so much stronger. He told me my shoulder pain might be caused by scar tissue that had built up behind my scapula. Scar tissue ..... I would have never suspected that. In just ONE visit, I can say the shoulder pain I have been suffering from for months has improved 95%. I wish I lived in Austin so I could see him on a regular basis. I can't wait till I am visiting my family again so that I can see him and let him know in person how much he helped me and to receive an adjustment. more

Dr. Swanson is by far the best Chiropractor in all of the Austin area. My husband and I recently had a baby girl. Our daughter's first few weeks of life were filled with gas pains and what we believed was colic. The first chiropractor we took her to literally worked with her for maybe five minutes before asking us to bring her back once she calmed down, of course we were unsatisfied with this doctor. I found Dr. Swanson's office by pure luck on google. We brought our daughter in for her first visit and within minutes we knew we were in good hands. Dr.Swanson explained exactly what was going on with our daughter and how he planned to work with her. Despite her ""excessive use of lungs"" Dr.Swanson was extremely patient with our little one, not only did her treat her that day but he also gave us tips on things we could do at home to help. We saw a drastic improvement in our infant within a week and we are so thankful for this doctor's help. The best thing about this office is that Dr.Swanson and Heather are very personable and they truly care about the well being of their patients. I really cannot say enough about Dr. Swanson. For the first time in ~25 years I have had nights with no painful tingling in my arms when I sleep. No tingling when I put on my makeup or wash my hair; I was to the point of having to watch the mirror and just keep going even though I could not really feel the makeup brush in my hand. more

I went to see Dr. Swanson not knowing what to expect since I haven't regularly been to a chiropractor before now. I have a severe shoulder abnormality that has caused me chronic pain throughout my life. I thought nothing would ever help it. Dr. Swanson's treatments have done so much more than I could have even imagined to decrease pain in my shoulder. I had an accident 15 years ago that left me with chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. There were times when I would just sit up in bed at night as still as I could until I would pass out since I couldn't go to sleep with the pain. As a musician (keyboardist), I have had shoulder/neck stiffness and soreness for several years and I started accepting that I would just have to live with it. From carrying my music equipment and from sitting over the piano for several hours, I just could seem to avoid the pain. Not only did I have chronic lower back pains from a teenager on, but I was rear ended at 50mph coming home from work on Mopac. The next morning I could barely move. I used to see a Chiropractor, but he retired a few years before and I had not found anyone since. So, I drove into work and passed by Austin Chiropractic like I do every day, but I decided to call and see if they could see me the same day. The receptionist was very friendly and she got me in that morning. They did X-rays, acupuncture for my muscle spasms and a small adjustment that day. The next day was Saturday and I was very worried about making it through the entire weekend, so Dr Swanson met me up there on a Saturday! Who does that?! I started chiropractic care due to some mid-lower back pain that was so painful, it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. Dr. Swanson is the best Chiropractor by far in the city of Austin. I had serious whiplash from an auto accident. He brought immediate relief to the many painful issues which resulted from the accident. My problems consisted of Headaches, vision problems, neck, and back pain. So, I've had this horrible pain for the past TWO YEARS. I went to several dr's, loads of tests (kidney, lung, blood, etc), prescriptions out the wazoo, nothing helped. I still had this pain all down the back left side of my body. Then I found Dr. Swanson. It's unbelievable. I consider it a miracle. After just a few visits, the pain is GONE. He took several xrays, and was able to diagnose me thoroughly. After the first adjustment, I walked outside, and I had this sense of euphoria, I actually thought to myself, ""everything is going to be ok"", and I believed it! It's amazing how much better your mind feels when you're finally free of PAIN. Not just the pain itself, but the worry about the cause, is it a tumor? Am I dying? No, here, I fixed you. It's hard to explain the relief, physically and mentally. Dr. Swanson has a gentle spirit, and strong hands that heal. I also love the fact that his staff is smart and attentive. I've never had to wait to be seen. The office operates like a fine tuned machine. The price was beyond reasonable, I was actually expecting it to be 3x's higher. I first started seeing a chiropractor 10 years ago. I was referred by mother who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and swears it is the only thing that helps her when in a bind. Upon meeting him I was impressed with his professional manner, but most importantly he listened to my story and showed interest in keeping me in the tip top shape I was able to maintain by many years of chiropractic care. His office is neat and welcoming. His staff are helpful and friendly and I rarely have to wait to get in. They work toward my needs and rather me come when I can than miss an appointment. I have been to many chiropractors all over the US and thoroughly believe in its healing power. I suffer from TMJ as well as chronic migraines and since recently moving from San Francisco, I desperately needed to find a new chiropractor. I went to see Justin at Austin Chiropractic and Acupuncture because they work with just about all insurance plans. Upon arriving, their office was spectacularly clean and very welcoming. Justin was very thorough with his exam and x-rays. He gave me an adjustment that day but took the time to review my information that night and scheduled another exam at no charge the next day for a full adjustment. He really took the time to figure out the best plan for me. After a couple weeks of adjustments, he asked me if I wanted to try acupuncture. I had never done that before and was nervous. It was amazing. It was like taking a power nap in only 10 minutes. They are very flexible with appointment times which is awesome because I live in South Austin and the traffic can be ridiculous. Dr. Swanson is an awesome chiropractor. I had never had chiropractic care before so I was a little nervous but I felt comfortable immediately here. He took the time to listen to the problems I was having and did wonders. I always left the office feeling terrific. I experienced severe pain in my neck one morning. Austin Chiropractic & Acupuncture was located right next door. I was very skeptical making an appt. I'm a Christian woman who believes in the power of healing but God using a chiropractor?!?! Dr. Swanson knew how nervous I was about him working on my neck & back. He's been very gentle on every treatment which has built my trust in him. I'm feeling so much better now and I'm running on the treadmill again!
