I have had these guys install more than 10 aftermarket sound systems and the results are always good. It seems better to purchase the ""specials"" since these may be 'loss leaders'. Please go during middle of the day middle of the week time frame to avoid long wait times and/or frazzled sales staff. Always accept staff advice when they recommend 'adapter' wiring harness since installers are NOT electricians and dont have skills needed to do non standard splice in installations. more

NO customer service, rude and a rip off! 6/28/2010

DO NOT fall for their BS at this store. I was getting a new stereo put in and I already had a sub base in my truck. I told them this and asked if it would be a problem to make sure the base works with the new stereo and I picked a stereo that i would be able to control the base from the stereo directly. When I picked up the car the base didn't work and while I was trying to figure out the solution to this the employee started yelling at me. I asked for the manager and he came out while I was frustrated I stayed put together and next thing I know he is yelling at me. They said that I was a lied and the base never worked (which is why I offered for them to listen to the base BEFORE they put the new stereo in) and I asked to speak to the installer and the manager refused. I had to go else where to get the problem fixed (which took all of five minutes and was a lose wire). The manager used foul language and when I asked for him to remove the new stereo he also refused. I didn't want their product at that point and he didn't care. They have no understanding of customer service and while they maybe cheap to install they don't do it properly. Cons: NO customer service, rude and a rip off! more

Long time but good 3/16/2010

I started the experience with audio express on Congress at the beginning of February 2010 with a bad radio in a 03 Jetta. I wanted a new head unit that could work with the original steering wheel control and 4 new speakers. Scott the guy up front talked a great game and gave me a great deal and even made it all sound easy he said it would only take a few hours. It is now March 16th and three trips later, finally done it all works wonderfully and my wife couldn?t be happier. You may be asking WTF why so long well it?s not all their fault nor is it my fault. What started out as an easy task turned bigger as time went on. It started out being an extra piece that they didn?t have or know about, then it went to we don?t know why it?s not working, but we will get it with more time, too finally it was a bad control module sorry it took so long. I still gave the shop a 4 star rating because they did work with us to make sure we could get in as soon as we got there, also because the days Scott told me he was going to call he did. Scotts over all professionalism and knowledge was great and I will be going back for more work in the future Great store and great deals? Pros: Great customer service Cons: Long time to get the job done more

WOW WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE! 1/14/2010

This is the FIRST TIME I have ever wrote a review on a business. I was so happy I decided to look and see if I could. I was shocked to find some of these other reviews that have been written, most long ago, because my experience was GREAT! Scott my salesman explained to me that they recently lowerd all of thier prices, maybe with their new lower prices they realized they needed to make some changes, I don't know but what I do know is I would recomend them to anyone that asked me.I shopped around, I looked on line, I found that even their marked prices were the same or in one case, even lower than I found on line or locally. They said if I found a lower price from a legit dealer they would match or beat it! Their over all install price was very fair and they took great care of my F-150 truck. I have already recomended them to a co-worker, after telling and showing him my new system and where I got it, he went there three days ago and came back with the same type experience. He didn't get as much as I did but he did purchase a Pioneer (I think it was) top of their line DVD-CD player with all the bells and whistles and he loves it! He has an IPOD hooked up to it and wow, that is so cool! He also got GPS navigation and says it takes him any where he wants to go. That may be my next purchase after seeing his! He did say that they had to do come kind of custom install to make it fit and it came out looking factory installed! With all the cars they were working on when I was there, I'm sure they sometimes have problems, who doesn't, but after my expeience I believe they would take care of any problems that might come up. Every salesman there was kind. courties, and busy taking care of their clients! I highly recomend AUDIO EXPRESS! Pros: GREAT STAFF, EXCELLENT INSTALL, GREAT DEAL! Cons: THEY WERE SO BUSY I DID HAVE TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE FOR 6 HOURS more

Terrible Customer Service 1/9/2009

When I came here, they promised they'd have my stereo system done by 4pm. I called them at 5:40 and found out they hadn't even started, although they promised they'd start working on it right away. Not only did they install the wrong components, but the manager argued with me about it, wouldn't give me a refund, and tried to charge me $60 to uninstall it. Terrible, terrible service, avoid this place! more

eff this place 11/6/2008

i got 2 apline e10's and a 450w alpine amp, and a decent deck from these guys. from day 1 my stuff started messin up, took it back the next day, they said it was fine. now last night im leavin work and i go to turn my stuff on, blown amp, 1 blown sub, and the other sub is basically blown. im goin there today. i agree with most above, they effin stink, DO NOT GO TO AUDIO EXPRESS, i regret going there with a passion. i bought a cd player in Tucson az for my girlfriends b-day, only to find out that her mom had already got one somewhere else. i tried to return it unopened w receipt two or three hours after i bought it, and the guy worker said he could not take it back due to company policy.I have always referred people to you guys and I have been buying stereos from you guys for every car i have ever owned. i just hooked up my truck and i would have been back to outfit my new truck but you just lost my business and respect. This is by far the worst customer service i have ever received and i strongly recommend they change they return policy. Pros: Thumbs down Cons: Thumbs down more

Not the lowest price 6/27/2007

These people seem to be more interested in seeing how much money they can get from you rather than how they can provice good service. Not recommended as a place to buy auto audio equipment. I found the same equipment at Circuit City for $30.00 less, including the installation. Watch out for $1.00 install price:They make it up on the equipment and the necessary accessories. Pros: convenient location, easy parking Cons: $1.00 install in a con. prices are not competetive more
