Good place to get beverages for an event 3/20/2006

Argonaut Liquors supplied the beverages for our wedding last summer, and we were really pleased. The prices were very competitive, and we had specific "party consultant" who helped us figure out what we needed. They co-ordinated with our caterer to get the drinks delivered to the site. After the event they even let us return any unopened (resalable) cases for a full refund. This saved us several hundred dollars, and helped us to feel comfortable over-estimating what people would drink. The neighborhood is a little iffy and occasionally you may get approached in the parking lot by someone asking for money etc. You can minimize that by going during the daytime. Argonaut is really one of the best liquor stores in Denver. more

price and selection 8/11/2005

I'd suggest that you go during the daylight hours, the neighborhood can be a bit adventurous. That being said, the staff is helpful and knowledgable. They have a good selection of wine as well as the rest of the typical liquor store wares. Their prices are great and the selection is definately there. I've often stocked up for a party here. more

Large selection but always crowded 6/16/2005

The Argonaut in Capitol Hill is crowded at any time of day or night with all types of people. They have a wide selection of wine at reasonable prices, and I have always found the staff to be helpful. Parking can be kind of a hassle - they do have a parking lot but it's usually full.. more
