Took a group of 9 out to Annabelles on a Sunday night. Didn't start to well when we stood at the entrance wondering if we were at the correct entrance while staff did not acknowle...

I recently went with my family on a Wednesday night to find a long wait for the 7 of us. To my surprise, the hostess managed to seat us in under 15 minutes. Our waitress did a great job and was very personable. The short ribs were her suggestion and I was amazed by how good they were and the polenta! wow! They also have great wine list. Worst Service Ever 2/14/2005

I just had dinner there last night, yes Valentine's Day. I understand that this is a very busy night for a lot of restaurants, but the service we had was the absolute worst I have ever had. We were served the first two courses of the five course prix fixe at the same time. Then, we had to wait an hour for a cold smoked salom dish to show up. I had to ask the hostess to find our waiter when he disappeared for half an hour without bringing the bottle of wine I ordered. The hostess ended up bringing the wine and serving it. At least the food was decent. But no way am I going to give Annabelle's any more of my business. Cons: Service more

I like this place for a drink, it's laid-back, the staff is cool. Good drinks and appetizers. It has a good 'neighborhood bar"" feel in the middle of the madness. more

This place isn't very good. First of all, both the host and the waiter where very rude. This I found bizarre, considering the place is essentially a diner. Everyone from the bartender to the busboy seemed very unfriendly. The food was only slightly better than burgerking, and took forever to arrive at the table. What a horrible place. Rude host. Bad service. I've tasted better in a cafe off the freeway. Cons: see review more

First of all this review is for the Bar that is in the Restaurant. I always come to Annabelle's when I stay at the Mosser and I am never dissapointed. Came in this weekend between the transition from Lunch to Dinner so we ended up eating in the Bar which we did before in May. We had to wait for a table to clear but once we were seated the Bartender was wonderful and friendly. Food was fantastic, they had Happy Hour EVEN ON THE WEEKENDS!! can not recommend this place enough. Pros: Great Service, Food was tasteful, Cost was suitable Cons: Small Seating Area more

Everything was very satisfactory 1/20/2003

I really enjoyed this restaraunt. On the friday night my date and i ate there it wasn't crowded, but not to the point of discomfort. We were seated promptly and the service was good. Also, I think this is one of the cheaper fancy restaraunts and the food is still very good. It's very convinient if you're watching a movie at the Metreon. Pros: Quiet, Good Service, Romantic more

Took a group of 9 out to Annabelles on a Sunday night. Didn't start to well when we stood at the entrance wondering if we were at the correct entrance while staff did not acknowledge our presence. Server was unattentive and unfriendly. I had ordered the Clams and a chicken caesar salad with oil and vinegar on the side as a main course. Clams came out 20 minutes before my salad, which was a good thing because the Chicken Caesar salad was sent back twice, on the third try it was still incorrect but I gave up when the server appeared very irritated when I had pleasantly asked to get the salad prepared as I had ordered. ANNABELLE'S is a STAR!! Very Good Food. A Smart upper scaled Restaurant in Downtown S.F. where there are alot of Fast Foods places in this area. It's nice to see White Tableclothes and Napkins. Annabelle's has a Traditional and Old World City Feeling of what many Traditional San Francisco Restaurants where once like. more

Lovely evening...food, ambiance, wine 8/14/2002

I went to Annabelle's with my family for a birthday dinner, and it was fantastic. The food was inventive and tasty, the steak cooked perfectly. Annabelle's has classic entrees with a tasty spin, and the atmosphere is subdued and friendly. We had a relaxing dinner without feeling rushed, and the prices were lower than I expected. Great for a date or with a group. more
