If Annabelle's had management issues 3 1/2 years ago (late 2006 by others' reviews), those issues have been resolved completely. I made a reservation for one on a Saturday night ...

Took a group of 9 out to Annabelles on a Sunday night. Didn't start to well when we stood at the entrance wondering if we were at the correct entrance while staff did not acknowle...

the best calamari in town the best service in town and the best wine and drinks you guessed it ,in town, lunch or dinner highley recommended. watch the game, have a drink, guaranteed you will be back.staff is courteous friendly and well informed. give it a look see. become a regular like me. more

......a bad place to be at. 5/10/2006

As soon as we walk in, we wait for ten minutes just to be greated' then things got worse. This place is way off the mark with their prices. The pizzas are awfull --the crust was really hard around the corners and mushy in the middle--the confit on top might as well been bacon chunks. The filet had chunk alot of fat in it and the Ahi tuna was purle and overcooked. When i was at the bar I had a great time with our cocktail server--she was a blast. Our waitress in the dining room was Okay--but she gave alot of wrong information about the menu. The place was so slow, but everthing still took forever. Nobody seemed to care either. I would have to say pass on this place. Pros: cocktail server , just the 1 person Cons: food, atmospher, price more

A FAB time out with Friends! 5/9/2006

Recentley,I was out with friends and we celebrated a fabulous birthday at Annabelle's Bar and Bistro. The food was amazing, we shared a bunch of appetizers, and for an entree, I had short ribs which were absolutely scrumptous! The staff made the night extra special; our waiter picked wines which really complimented the meal, and helped with a very nice birthday dessert (chocolate souffle-a chocoholic's dream) Bravo to the chef and staff! more

The best loin in da city yet!~ 5/9/2006

After multiple visits, I can honestly say this is one of the best kept secrets in SF The service is above average, the food is great. My fav is the Pork Loin...it's tender & juicy!~ I really love the chocolate souffles! Call ahead for reservations Pros: Food , Ambiance, Service Cons: Parking, Location more

Great place for lunch and very romantic too! 5/9/2006

My partner and I went in at Annabelle's for lunch when in shopping in San Francisco and we have to say that it was an awesome experience. Great atmosphere, very nicely decorated. The service was great and the food extraordinary. The tiger prawn salad was incredibly delicious! The calamari was super. Even though we went there for lunch I do have to say that the ambience was very romantic. It has a great location and very good wine selection. We had table near a window so got a great taste of city. Pros: Food, Ambiance, Location Cons: Parking more

Hidden Downtown Treasure! 5/9/2006

I came across Annabelles after attending a recent conference at the Moscone Convention Center last month. I can't reccomend this restaurant enough!~ Even though it was busy from the conference, the host greeted us with a smile and let us know she would be back to assist us. Not more than 15 minutes waiting had passed when she came over & was able to seat us. The waiter was friendly & reccomended the Fish of the Day, Petrole Sole w/mashed potatoes. My associate had the Tuna Nicoisse. Both were great- full of flavor & great presentation. Out of all the restaurants I went to during the week... ANNABELLE's WAS BY FAR THE TOP PICK! Don't listen to the bad reviews on here...they must be talking about someplace else...because the food & staff were EXCELLENT!!! Pros: Friendly, Ambiance, Great Staff Cons: Parking more

bad bad and even worse 4/27/2006

Alost two years ago i went to this establishment loving it, two years later---A MUCH DIFFERENT STORY!!!! cant tell you just how bad my freinds and mine experience was at this place!! the entire staff was very rude and unwelcoming!! everything ran so poorly. the server was awful she did a bad job recommending meals--saying eveything was nice---and not knowing how anything was prepared or what it came with--I cant even start on how bad her wine pairing was---on top of that she did not take care of us. in addition the people working around her were doing nothing to help. I met the chef one time and saw him from afar--i could not believe the way he talked to his staff!! Lets just say wow!! Maybe-that is why things are so bad there--could be---shame really. Annabelle's resturant is so old San Franicsco elegance! The waiter excellent! BUT the food was VERY incredible! The Calamari absolutley best ,creative and the flavor mmmmh! The Onion Soup so rich just right rich! For dinner I ordered Fillet, my friend the Leg of Lamb. We were both making happy moaning noises the only conversation was ""tatste this!"" I tried the Lamb Magnificant, never had before! I'm ordering next time! The Fillet can we say BUTTER? I loved the experience and would tell anyone who ask for a fantastic eating experience with (the works fantastic food, great service and athmosphere) to go to Annabelle's! But rather, this small detail seems to be a sign for the rest of the evening. The bartender had no idea what he was taliking abouth when i ask about his wines, but he would gladdly call any i ask about "great" and just so you know--- not know about your product is fine just dont act like you know--when you dont. Following over our server was rude to his table and co-workers, but by all the tables around us. It shows when you are rude to others guest. The food was not great either, but it is in a great location. lucky for them Pros: location, location, location Cons: food, service, atmosphere more

A very nice experience! 3/24/2006

So Annabelles, a very good romantic experience. the lighting was just perfect for me and my fiancee giving that intimate feel to each dining table, the service is a plus, and many little details place here and there, the wine selection it's almost perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody that wants to have a real dining romantic experience. more

Annabelle's you must try! 3/23/2006

My husband and I went in at Annablle's for dinner and it was great. LOVE the new look and LOVE the food. The steak was the best I ever had. Gave a piece to my husband to try. He loved the steak that we trade dishes. I had his pasta that was just as great too. Starters to Desert was all wonderful. more
