The Animal Care Society is a wonderful organization helping to find homes for "unwanted" pets. The not-for-profit, no-kill shelter provides a great service for anyone looking for a dog or cat. All the animals are very well cared-for by a vet and volunteers in a clean and loving facility.
I adopted my first cat from ACS and it was an awesome experience! The cat room is totally different from other places. They aren't kept in closed cages - instead, the cages are there but left open for the cats to come and go as they please and the rest of the room is filled with toys, beds and perches for cat-napping in the sun.
The dogs are kept in large kennels and there is plenty of room available for you to interact with them. You can even bring your current pet in to see if they can get along with a new buddy!
Your adoption fee includes all the animal's vaccinations plus spaying or neutering. If you don't adopt from ACS, please ADOPT from a shelter and don't forget to spay and neuter. Adopting saves lives!!
