Great experience 8/13/2013

I took my 7 month old boxer to Angell to be spayed and she healed very quickly and they took good care of her overnight after her surgery. Very pleased and would recommend their services to anyone who wants their puppy in safe and trustworthy hands. more

Big but still the best place! 8/6/2013

It is a bit overwhelming to take your pet to Angell- its like Brigham and Womens for pets. Big, a little impersonal but on the other hand they are there around the clock, have all sorts of very qualified specialists and can provide a high level of care for your pet. more

Review of Angell visit 8/6/2013

Phenomenal care 7/27/2013

Angell saved our puppy's life. We wish it was closer to our home so that we could make it our primary care for our puppy. Dr Veronica Jarvinen immediately detected what was wrong with our dog when others couldn't, sent us videos of his progress, and called/emailed us with updates everyday. The amount of care and love Angell has shown to our dog is unlike any other facility. Highest praise and recommendation ? more

Thanks 7/27/2013

Great experience as usual. Terrific cardiologist more

You're paying for the resources 7/22/2013

Angell is the best in town if you need specialty/emergency care. It's expensive, but they provide 24-hr emergency care by a host of specialists. more

The Very Best Veterinary Hospital! 7/22/2013

Professional, courteous, kind, top-notch: all describe the exemplary service given by every staff member we encountered in our five visits- so far- to Boston's Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. We now actually look forward to appointments, such is the level of caring and expertise. The pharmacy is on site, service is quick, and everybody (clients and care providers alike) seems very happy to be there! Clean, beautiful, spacious, pet-friendly facility. We love our "back home" vet, but this is the place to use when special care is called for. more

Wonderful care 7/20/2013

The staff did a wonderful job with our Himalayan's bladder surgery. Although it wasn't inexpensive the level of care from everyone was amazing. more

Great doctor and service! Great care for my pet 6/23/2013

We took my dog in to find out what kind of cancer she had - we knew it was cancer as she had hacked out a piece of tumor but had no idea where and how much! We met with Dr. Mahoney (sp?) and scheduled the cat scan with other tests. Dr stood by what she said that she would call me anytime there was news. Instead of the liaison calling dr called me saying that they have give medicine and that it should be 30-45 min before they take her in. She called 30 min later saying she was doing great. It was nice to hear from the dr even though I wasn't expecting one at that point. She explained the process on where they were at and what they were going to do from here. About 15-20 min later she called again saying they had found a huge tumor on her tongue when prepping and did i want the surgeon that was on standby to remove - they weren't sure yet if it had spread since the scan hadnt been finished and still thought that would be needed to. I immediately agreed and hoped for the best. Dr. Mahoney said it should take about 11/2 hrs for surgery and cat scan. She called in 45 min again saying it took less time and was removed and scan looked clean but they would call when final results were by end of day. She called only about 4 hrs later with results of scan (hadn't spread) and that cancer was melanoma but had got 90% of it and a vaccine could be given to hopefully help immune system attack it. Count the times she called. Not just the liaison but the dr. herself. I wasn't expecting it as I wouldn't have minded having a couple calls from her and a couple from liaison. I bring this up because this is great service and very happy with how they treated me and especially my dog. People in reviews have complained about how expensive Angel is...it is somewhat but to me worth it. My in-laws dog, just a week before my dog had surgery, was put down by another vet after a biopsy and their service and communication and possibly the biopsy surgery was not at all good. SO I will pay more for better drs and ervice. more

Always great care 6/17/2013

I've never been disappointed by the level of concern, kindness and expertise that these folks provide. My 3 cats have had their share of problems but Angell has seen them through them all very well. Great job. more

MSPCAa 6/17/2013

I was very impressed with the level of care my dachshund received here. When I brought him for his neuter, I was called three separate times by the veterinarian to update me on his status. The discharge paperwork was clear and concise. I plan to switch all my veterinary care to the MSPCA Angell Memorial. more

Abdominal Ultrasound for our cat Elmo 5/14/2013

Everyone was very helpful from the person at the Registration/ Front Desk, who walked us to the waiting area to the attendant who took Elmo to get his US and the Vet who talked to me about the results from the test. They were all very professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. It made me feel supported and well taken care of. We will bring Elmo back when needed. more

Fantastic 5/13/2013

The doctors are friendly and knowledgeable. They really care about my Westies. Even sitting in the waiting areas is pleasant as the workers seem genuinely interested in the animals waiting there. I had one random doctor stop and cuddle my youngest - a 3-month-old - and compliment him. It made us happy and proud. I have been going to Angell since 2001 with my ferret, and I have never had anything negative to say. Thank you. more

The BEST for your pet! 5/13/2013

It goes without saying that MSPCA is the best for your pet. This is actually a well known and well deserved FACT. This hospital cares about my cat, his health, happiness, and overall well-being. The medical care is state of the art and the facilities are seldom found in any other veterinary hospital. They deal with the most complicated cases by utilizing the most recent scientific approaches and with empathic care. I truly believe that MSPCA is the best thing that has happened to animals. And I genuinely wish there were more MSPCAs in the US and the rest of the world. more

Medical care 5/13/2013

I've been bringing my cats to Angell for years now for their advanced knowledge and more in depth care. The internists here see many more tough cases which leads to faster detection of issues. I fully believe my animals wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for them. more
