So cool and random! 8/9/2006

I've shopped here online for years! So random. The best part is really their catalog. The writing is amazing. They have some creative and fun folks working there! When I ran my last online shop that wasn't my own business (no company names) I would read the catalog for inspiration. It is so funny and witty. They convince you it is junk that you need! It is really great for crafters, and service is always good. more

wierd things to buy 8/2/2006

Another interesting place to shop at that I read about through Judy's Books. I would not have thought they had such wierd and interesting stuff. I thought that perhaps the reviewers were just getting carried away. I was wrong again. I trust everyone now!!! They have a LOT of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in this stuff. Everything but food I should say. They even had some automotive testing machine that the government paid nearly $100,000.000 for that you could buy for only $20. What a bargain if you knew what it was!! It's a beautiful thing. Stop on by. http://www.sciplus.com/ web link more

Need a what cha might call it 4/3/2006

If you do, this is the place to find it. Working on restoring some motorized components and can not find the part you need? More than likely they will carry it in their store. They also have a website that you can order from. Items range from dusty kitchen and camping items to wierd mad science lab things. They put wierd and funny labels on stuff and try to give you an idea of what you can do with a pill bottle lid for example. It is an interesting store. And you might find something you either need or do not need. Be prepared for dirt. I dont mind it, but some folks do. more

A cool place to browse around in 10/26/2005

Ever neededsomething and literaly couldn't find it anywhere, well I bet you a dolalr you probably could if you checked out American Science and Surplus. They have an od variety of items from science gear (beakers and the like) to old military gear from the U.S. Army and the former soviet region. It's a cool place to take the kids if you wanna blow a couple of hours without spending much money, there is a lot of science related things that they could learn a lot from. more

LOL, this place is awesome 9/24/2005

There is no such thing as a short trip to ASAS. They have so many fun little things to play with and buy that you can get caught up for hours even if you knew exactly what you were going there to get. There are very few constant products on the shelves there because stock is static and ever changing but that makes it like a new adventure everytime you go. If you need some strange odds and ends, some science gear (beaksers, test tubes, decanters, etc) you can find it here. The prices are great as well, you wont spend much and you'll have a great time. more

Wierd.. Stuff... Dusty... Stuff.... 7/28/2005

This is a place to take your Dad. :) He will certainly get a kick out of it. I know mine did. He went three times in one weekend when they came to visit us. That in itself is a high recommendation. Oodles of gidgets and gadgets. Beekers, tubes, science kits, small motors, misc parts for making motors and tinkering projects. Just a little bit of this and that. Plan on staying here awhile, it will take a considerable amount of time to go through all the aisles of bins and boxes to make sure you do not miss anything. Bring a box of wet wipes for your hands. You will leave a bit diry. http://www.sciplus.com/ Payment Accepted: American Express, MasterCard, Visa Open Mon-Wed,Fri 10am-6pm; Thu 10am-9pm; Sat 9am-5pm; Sun 11am-5pm more
