We were concerned our 14 year old cat, Bettyann, might have a urinary tract infection. She has always used her litter pan in the past, but just in the last couple days she has been peeing and pooping on brand new carpet. Dr. Cat's office fit us in the same morning I called. Everyone there was so nice. And even Bettyann, who normally doesn't like anyone she doesn't know, seemed ok with being there. We were in and out real quick and the office fees were very fair. A really nice experience for us. more

We have two dogs and two cats and we've been with American Heritage Animal Hospital since Dr. Cat McGinniss took over the business. They provide routine maintenance, sick visits, wellness plans and we pay a monthly service and get extra benefits, such as discounts on our sick visits and other perks that help us out financially. Everyone at the animal hospital is friendly, caring and it's a very welcoming environment. I love how the staff has their pets roaming around in the office and it makes it feel like a little community. I have been going to American Heritage Animal Hospital for the last ten years because my wife rescues pets. I have had no problem with Doctor Kat. She's a very friendly lady and a good person. I usually don't have to wait because they're prompt and courteous. I enjoy going there. more

The people over at American Heritage Animal Hospital are just awesome. My pup was having some issues and I was really worried, but the people over here were very friendly and helped calm me down as they took care of my baby. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and were able to teach me how to administer the antibiotics they were going to give me to eliminate the problem. I was really happy with their thorough explanation and now thanks to them my dog is once again one very happy pooch! more

Moving from Denver, Colorado to Atlanta, Georgia, I needed a new vet to care for our dogs and to board and care for my dogs while we were away on a trip. So we picked American Heritage Animal Hospital because they were close and have used them multiple times already. We boarded our dogs over the Christmas holidays and just recently a few weekends ago. We also had one of our dogs teeth cleaned, and got them both the shots they needed for Georgia. The people at American Heritage are communicative, transparent, nice, and timely. While we were on our trip, we asked if they could clean the teeth of the other dogs, and they called back to say that they didn't need to be cleaned. So it was nice to not have to pay for something extra and unnecessary. Their location is convenient, and their care has always been good. When you love animals like most pet owners do, you want to make sure to get the 100%, and American Heritage Animal Hospital has that. Try them, and you won't be disappointed. more

We moved to the area and American Heritage Animal Hospital was local; our dog was pretty sick and after several visits and exams it was recommended that our dog be put down. Dr. Cat and her staff was very compassionate. We then got a new pup and the pup got a hold of some mice and was treated right away! The price for the service was comparable to all the others companies around. Dr. Cat and her entire crew was very caring and attentive to our situation. more

We've been taking our pets to American Heritage Animal Hospital for seventeen year and there's no better place. They give our dogs vaccines for heart worm, fleas, and ticks. I would like to point out, again, that all the negative reviews (including one of mine several years ago) I have seen for this business were posted BEFORE DR CAT TOOK THE BUSINESS OVER! Dr Cat and her staff are thoroughly professional and caring animal lovers. We trust them totally with both our little family members. Dr Cat diagnosed an abnormal liver in our little RatTerrier, Scooter. She didn't hesitate to get us an appointment at the UGA School of Vetinary Medicine for a full liver biopsy. Regrettably, Scooter has advanced liver hepitius. UGA was not hopeful for his survival. I was ready to put him down based on his prognosis rather than have him suffer. Dr Cat went many extra miles with his medications and he is still with us, vibrant and loving. He has survived more than a year longer than everyone believed he would and we owe it all to Dr Cat. So, when you see negative comments about this business, take into account how old the comment is! more

The veterinarian at American Heritage Animal Hospital, Dr. Cat McGinniss, is the best vet I've ever had. She truly loves animals, and strives to know them individually. She's also very good with the owners of the pets. She really spends time with us so we can ask questions. They have a great support staff as well. I've been going to American Heritage Animal Hospital since before they changed ownership, but ever since Dr. Cat has been there, I've been really impressed! more

I initially took my six-week-old boxer puppy, Maybach, to American Heritage Animal Hospital for his first checkup and vaccinations. As a first-time client, I could tell that the staff cared about the animals. I was amazed by how professional and caring they were. I watched them interact with others customers too, and they treated all their clients that same way. Due to a bad breeder, my dog was only four pounds at six weeks old, and was very ill. One of the staff even took him home one night after he had a seizure, because he was on an IV and they needed someone who knew what they were doing to watch him through the night. They were always very detailed in explaining what was going on. They really took care of him, and always called and kept me updated. I've had many dogs and many vets, and I've never had one who stepped up and offered the services that they offered for me and my puppy. Dr. Cat was a Godsend. It's not a job to her: she has a real love for animals. I wish there were more vets like that. Eventually the extent of my dog's illness became clear, and through no fault of their own, we had to put him down. They treated him so nicely, and they really loved him. They called and checked up on me the next day. I'm so glad that we found them, because they were so genuine. I was very impressed. I would go back to them and recommend them. more

I turly love this place i been coming here for 3 years With all my 4 pets. Dr dickler was great with all my animals. An now the new owner/ vet dr. Cat is great also. I recommend that everyone comes here more

I've been going to American Heritage Animal Hospital for 2 or 3 years. I have a dachshund that is 15 and he has had slipped discs twice. He is too old for surgery and we were afraid we'd have to have him put down. Dr. Cat got him going with medication. She's a good vet, communicates, and takes good care of my pets. Never had any problems. They're efficient, nice, and competitively priced. I would definitely recommend them. more

She was my vet when she still lived in South Carolina. She's one of the best vets I've every worked with. She's worked on two of my dogs. One had cancer, and she diagnosed it before anyone else could. I still lost the dog, but she did her job quite well. more

I took an elderly dog and an elderly cat to them. Both of my animals were sick when I took them. What I really appreciate the most is they are very straightforward with your options. I felt like I was always getting solid information so I could make decisions based on my pets needs. more

I had my dogs spayed and neutered at American Heritage Animal Hospital. The surgery and the outcome was excellent. We had no problems. The doctor called to check on us the next day and a few days later. They were very clear and willing to make sure that I knew that if I had any questions that I could call them back so they could touch base with me. They were extremely gentle and loving with the dogs. Even though they know everything about dogs, they were willing to listen to comments about my dog's personalities. The vet was very knowledgeable and courteous. She made me feel very comfortable as a client and I haven't had that in some other clinics. My pets were not stressed at all when I picked them up. They were extremely professional yet friendly. It was a very good experience. They also have a large, beautiful, secure grassy area where they can take the pets outside so that they can go around the yard. I love that. Some other places I have been too have been a big concrete parking lot with a tiny little grass area. I thought that the price was very fair. I got a complete explanation of the billing before the surgery so there were no surprises or added fees. Wonderful experience for me and my pets. It is important to me that they feel safe with the people that are handling them. Also, I met three of the staff members and professionalism and courteousness was consistent among all the staff members. more

Friendly staff - always responsive when I call with questions / concerns. Easy to get appointments - my pup is always excited when we go to the vet so makes me feel very confident that she is well taken care of while she is there. We've been using them since we brought our pup home 4 years ago and are completely happy with the service we get. more
