Allen Pointe Condominiums

I live at Allen Pointe Condominiums. I would never recommend this apt. / condo unless you have no concern about the kind of home you have, the safety of your children, or until a new management company takes over. Since Magar & Co. took over, Allen Pointe has become awful in terms of maintenance, staffing, and numerous safety hazards. If you ask the president of their association he will say it's great! And it likely is...for the president of the association. I've heard of vehicle break-ins and several home invasions in just 2 years. But you will hear from them IMMEDIATELY if you have an item or a plant where it doesn't belong or ""beige"" drapes instead of ""white"" drapes covering the windows. Unbelievable conditions? The roads & lots are crippled with potholes, leaking plumbing, floors & storage areas, dead landscaping, new expensive plants removed & never replaced, no mulch done, broken concrete, broken washers & dryers in the laundry facilities, bugs everywhere, and this is just what I personally have encountered. They do not respond, they do not answer email requests for help or assistance. They allow renters to move in who damage the property, damage owner's personal property, and yet will respond to them ( the renters) when they call because they cannot sell them as condos- nobody will pay to buy these awful properties anymore and they know it. But if they know you own it, you won't get a response and rather you will be fined for anything they consider ""out of compliance"". Our hope is to make sure others are spared the misfortune resulting from the mistake we made in thinking Allen Pointe Condominium would be a safe and welcoming home for our family. We can only hope that conditions at Allen Pointe improve soon for us & that we can be treated like the good, caring tenants that we are. more

Me and my mother moved in a little over a year ago, after looking around these WERE the cheapest apartments around. The managment that was here when we moved in made it feel like a home, they were willing to drop the price to what was afforadable based on the condition of the apartment, now with new managment they have raised are rent, and they are not willing to negotiate on anything and only care about getting the money. They dont conversate with any tennats, they only are nice when you are handing them your check, and if any problems occur it will take you AT LEAST two weeks for them to even come look at the problem, if they even remember. Dont get me wrong this apartment complex used to be taken care of flowers were planted and it looked beautiful and the manager in the office was always nice to you and actually cared about your problems and finanical ways. Now there are potholes, not getting fixed, no flowers or any special touches and it just is becoming the neighborhood ""hangout"" for anyone because there is no security what so ever. more

I moved in little over a year ago, and in that time the management has changed hands. Before they were wiling to work with you, if you coudln't pay on time. Now they WOULDN'T. They don't see the people living in these apartments, they just see dallor sings. more

As president of Allen Pointe Condominium Association I feel this is a great place to live. I have lived here since June 2003. I have a 2 bedroom unit at the back of the property and have enjoyed a very positive and quiet living experience. Like anything else in life this complex has had its growing pains but the problems eventuallly get solved. Anyone with negative feedback on this develpment, I will challenge you about their opinion. When I moved in here 5 years ago it was nice and quite place to live. The Mgmt has really let this place go. There is a pool but the drunks take it over on the weekends. Cons: Dirty, MGMT slow to respond, loud car radios at all time durning the night more
