This review is public, posted on all downriver Michigan sound boards and available for further comment at any time, as well as additional information, if requested. I live at Allen Pointe Condominiums. I would never recommend this apt. / condo unless you have no concern about the kind of home you have, the safety of your children, or until a new management company takes over. Since Magar & Co. took over, Allen Pointe has become awful in terms of maintenance, staffing, and numerous safety hazards. If you ask the president of their association he will say it's great! And it likely is...for the president of the association. I've heard of vehicle break-ins and several home invasions in just 2 years. But you will hear from them IMMEDIATELY if you have an item or a plant where it doesn't belong or ""beige"" drapes instead of ""white"" drapes covering the windows. Unbelievable conditions? The roads & lots are crippled with potholes, leaking plumbing, floors & storage areas, dead landscaping, new expensive plants removed & never replaced, no mulch done, broken concrete, broken washers & dryers in the laundry facilities, bugs everywhere, and this is just what I personally have encountered. They do not respond, they do not answer email requests for help or assistance. They allow renters to move in who damage the property, damage owner's personal property, and yet will respond to them ( the renters) when they call because they cannot sell them as condos- nobody will pay to buy these awful properties anymore and they know it. But if they know you own it, you won't get a response and rather you will be fined for anything they consider ""out of compliance"". Our hope is to make sure others are spared the misfortune resulting from the mistake we made in thinking Allen Pointe Condominium would be a safe and welcoming home for our family. We can only hope that conditions at Allen Pointe improve soon for us & that we can be treated like the good, caring tenants that we are.
