My best friend Teddy... Lives Pros: Thumbs up staff! Cons: Not enough love around for the rest of the souls living in our muck. But spreading the word!! more

Not Happy 9/20/2008

I can't even begin to explain how horrible the vet was. She is so cold and only spent about five minutes with my cat. She didn't even look at me when she was talking and barely looked or touched my cat. She talked so fast and had a horribly ugly accent. Then she ran out of the room after saying that she was going to get me an estimate and never returned. One of the nurses came in with the estimate and asked me if I wanted to go ahead with what the vet wanted to do. At that point I knew she just wanted money. I decided to run out of that awful place as fast as I could. That awful ugly vet is a retched woman who should not work with animals. No heart at all. Pros: None @ all Cons: Ugly woman vet with no heart more

terrible. 9/4/2008

my dog has seen 2 different vets there, dr. atalla and dr. boctor. (yes thats his name, doctor boctor) i should have known after the first visit to never go back to these people. they are rude, pushy, rough with my dog, and charge you for things they never tell you they are going to do. both of them walked in and instead of introducing themselves, easing their way up to my scared puppy, or anything..they literally snatch my dog up and started roughly checking her out. im never going back! Cons: better service at the DMV more

They saved my dog 8/22/2008

My dog stopped eating for 3 days, I was referred to signal hill, once I was in the exam room and the doctor examined my dog, she knew exactly what my dog had, she recommended certain tests to confirm her diagnosis and she was right, my dog had a uterus infection, and she took her to surgery right away..... Pros: excellent service more

would never go anywhere else 8/10/2008

First time I have been there, I had to wait a littele longer than I thought, as they were very busy....but after seeing the doctor and after they treated my cat, I understood, why it is busy..they are great, straight to the point...and they explain every thing ... Pros: excellent care more

Great hospital 8/10/2008

Great doctors, excellent staff...they took excellent care of my dog, and their cost is very reasonable more

FECES covered facility, NO customer service, 5 days there and my puppy looks frail from weightloss 5/28/2008

My puppy was sick with Parvo and had to spend time at this 'Vets' office. The facility was FILTHY, the wall across from my dog had feces on it. There was a stack of cones on the floor, this too was COVERED in feces. more

terrible experience 4/12/2008

The staff never aknowledged me when I walked in. I had to ask the receptionist if I had to fill out paper work since I was a new customer. She said she would bring it to me and she did. After filling out the paper work the receptionist called me into the room. She verified with me that I was in there for a teeth trim only. I said yes. (Keep in mind a week before I made the reservation I called to see if they require an exam for a rabbit and I was told no. And again when I made the appointment I was told no exam was required.)After weighing her she said the doctor will be right with me. When the doctor came in he nvere introduced himself. He looked at her teeth and again reinterated that I just wanted a teeth filing. Again yes. Ugh! He said he will be right back. Several minutes later a nurse came in and brought me an estimate. The first thing I saw and heard her say was ""For today's visit it will be $39 for the exam"". WHAT!? I told her I was told on two seperate occasions that there's no exam and that is one of the reasons I came (there isn't anything to exam on a rabbit). She said she would be back. She came in a few minutes later and stated she spoke with the office manager and anythime the doctor looks at the pet there is an exam fee. I replied I'm not going to pay an exam fee. A few minutes later the office manager came in and reinterated what the nurse said and said they like to have the doctor do the exam on the first visit to build that patien doctor realtionship. I told her there was no relationship built because he didn't do anything but look at her teeth. He didn't say much to me. She said I was right and was told that there would be no exam so they would waive the exam fee. I then asked her how much for the teeth trim and she said $35. At that point I had to leave because I was told over the phone that it would be $20. I still have to make another appointment elsewhere to get my rabbit's teeth taken care of. Don't ever go here. It's the worst. more

nice hospital 10/19/2007

I took in my cat for an abcess & teeth cleaning at another clinic and i left there feeling guilty that my cat had an abcess, so i instead I took her to signal animal hospital and the vet was very understanding with me and compassionate with ""Fifi""I don't understant why some vets make us feel guilty when we're trying to do the best for our children.I really recommend signal hill hospital. more

Friendly place 10/19/2007

I heard of Signal Hill pet hospital thru a friend about a year ago and just recently i found myself in the worst situation with my doggy '""Kamu"". He had stopped eating for 2 days and could not get up. I decided to take him in because I heard that it was a clean place and they would not be too expensive. As it turns out i was glad to trust my friend, my dog was suffering extreme dehydration and with the awsome care by the docotrs and staff, ""Kamu"" was home in 2 days. Now ""Kamu"" boards there when i need to go out of town and i know he gets the best treatment. Pros: I always board my dog now Cons: He does not like leaving the boarding facility to go home more

DON'T TAKE YOUR PET HERE...AVOID ALL COST! 7/6/2006

I was new to Long Beach, Ca and i read the review was good and I soon realized it was WRONG! The place is not kept clean, and the services i was paying for gland expression was not don correclty. I assumed they would do a good job, but found out from another Vet. when i took my dog in (after 3 days later from gland expression), that they did not even clean it out! I have to pay again for the same services that week with different Vet. in Orange County. Cons: not worth your time or visit more
