Alaskan Home Services installed our air conditioner and we follow up with them for our service. They are always prompt, on time, and personable. They send out someone new every time, and all of our service guys have been really great and provided very good customer service. We have been really satisfied with Alaskan and have not felt the need to go anywhere else. I would recommend them. If someone asked me who I would recommend to install and service an air conditioning unit, I would say Alaskan Home Services. more

We recently bought a new furnace and AC unit form Alaskan Home Services. They installed those and we had another problem with that but they quickly came out and got everything working again. We also have them do inspections every spring and fall just to make sure everything is in working order for the seasons. They are really good, timely and they are always very nice. Really have nothing bad to say about them. more

Alaskan Home Services was very nice and I was perfectly satisfied. We had them come out about three years ago to install an AC and heating unit and in fact they replaced all the ducting in the house as well. Everything has been working great since. Since then I have had them come out to check on the heater in the winter and the AC in the summer time. He found everything fine and checks it out pretty thoroughly. I'm very happy with the service. more

Alaskan Home Services came to checkout our heating and air units when our a/c wasn't working and we signed a year contract with them to come out and maintain and repair our heating and air if there were ever any problems. We've used several other maintenance people and Alaskan Home Services saw things that other contractors didn't. They even crawled into spots that nobody would dare go, so the fact that they go above and beyond is why we're so happy with them. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and wonderful - they know what they're doing and I trust what they say when they're in my home. They're really good with our family and even our dogs. They are competent, trustworthy, and ready to serve! I wouldn't go anywhere else, they're the best. more

I was contacted by Alaskan Air Conditioning, to set up the service appointment. However, for whatever reason, I did not qualify for the usual $39.95 furnace inspection. I was told I needed the $69.95 system diagnostic. The next day the technician arrived 2 hours late. As soon as he entered the home, he started selling a Preventative Maintenance program to me before he saw the furnace. Then he tried to sell me a new furnace. He was on the phone often with other technicians, trying to evaluate my furnace problem. Once he realized the problem, he offered to repair the furnace for $900, but he had to order the part. He did not provide a full system diagnostic. I paid the $69.95 and ask him to leave my house, that I would consider his repair proposal. The next day I contacted a local furnace repair company, they came out and repaired the furnace for $300, with no hassles or part ordering. Do not use Alaskan Air Conditioning in Tucson, AZ. more

We had an issue with the installation of our air conditioning. When the guys at Alaskan Home Services came, they installed our a/c inside a closet and after the job was done, we realized that there was no way to change the filter in the a/c without taking the closet door off completely. The guy who installed it didn't mention this to us before, during, or after the process, so we were stuck with a really annoying problem. Of course when we called them back to complain, they told us there was nothing they could do about it and that I had to just keep taking the closet door off if I wanted to change the filter. I unfortunately got really sick and had to go into surgery shortly after the installation, so the last thing on my mind was the air conditioning and I had to let the issue be. On the plus side, the a/c works great. The people were nice and if you are planning on getting anything installed by Alaskan Home Services, I would make sure to have them run you through what exactly they plan on doing and ask them questions about the installation so you don't end up with a problem like mine.If they were to come back and correct this problem for me, I would definitely give them five stars. more

I've been working with Alaskan Home Services for over ten years and they've been nothing but great. They've installed a heat pump and air conditioning unit and since I have a contract with them, they come out once a year and inspect our heater and air conditioner. The service people are very knowledgeable and friendly and their prices are competitive. Before using them, I received several estimates from several different companies and they seemed to be the best. If you're thinking about using Alaskan Home Services, I wouldn't hesitate! more

I bought a new a/c unit from them .I had nothing but problems from the begining,first they cut my trust to get the air handler in the attic(which i understand) but they never fixed until i noticed it months down the road,Then I had to keep calling them out to fix the unit because it was not working,they said freon was low every time.They did not address the problem.I had to call another company to fix the problem even though it was under warranty.I would definatly not reccomend them. more

your men worked hard and really cared about their job as if doing it for themselves. very polite, cleaned up, improved where posible. couldn't ask for a better crew. more

I had used Delta Mechanical on a few occasions, and had been very satisfied. I called Alaskan Air Cond. at the end of October, before I turn on my gas furnace on. The first appointment I could get was Nov. 25, 11AM to 3PM. I called at 2 PM when I had heard nothing, and was told I was still on the list. An hour later, the nice agent called to say there was no technician available. I have to wait now until Dec 1. more

I bought a complete system last January. The condenser had not had final charge and ran through summer. In October I set up a service call to bring A/C Freon to final spec. After opening up electrical cover on condenser the Tech says I see you don't have a starter, I said yes I do, it came from the factory with a starter (capacitor for motor startup). He went on to say you really need this $350 starter and also you really need this special compressor oil for an additional $350 to which I said you are joking right? Oh no he said you really need this, Alaskan sales should have told you about it when you purchased and installed system. So we agreed to $500 for both and he installed. I have since talked to Trane the manufacturer, they said you do not need these items on a new system maybe on a 10 year old system. more

Alaskan's technician was prompt and courteous. The tune-up was thorough and compete. We received a reminder by e-mail 24 hours in advance, and the tech called to say he was on the way. Great job. more

We have had Earl as our technician on a number of occasions and he is great at communicating with us as to when he will arrive at our home. Once he is on site, his respectful of our property using shoe protection at all times inside our home. Earl is definitely an asset to your company. more
