Not being paid to say this. 4/26/2012

I would give them 2 1/2 to 3 stars realistically, but I thought I would try to offset all the FAKE reviews. If you look at all the other peoples profiles, you will see a pattern. They are all reviewing the same places and giving 5 stars. I have ACTUALLY been to Affordable Transmission. It's been a couple of years now and I'm not even sure they are still in buisiness. I am sure that I left feeling a little ripped off. I had a transmission that needed to be re-built under warranty. They are part of the warranty group, but not the ones who rebuilt it either time. I had purchased a new shift cable before my transmission went out and had planned on changing it myself. When I took my car in to these guys, they said they would change it out when they put the trans back in. They forgot to do it, then decided to do it after the fact and bill me without ever talking to me. I could have done it myself and would have if I had known they were going to charge me. The transmission blew out again in less than 10000 more miles, but I don't blame Affordable. They never did the rebuild, only the removal and installation. more

Quality Work 10/14/2011

As a side note, I had previously taken my car to the Chevy dealer with transmission issues. They claimed to have ""fixed"" my transmission, but it started making the same noise it had when I took it in. They checked it another time and they didn't fix the problem. Thank goodness for technicians at Affordable Transmissions that not only found the problem (a broken transmission part) but resolved it. It's been 4 months since Affordable Transmission fixed my car, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of work. I highly recommend this shop. more

Fast Service! 9/26/2011

Very honest people to deal with, It was a simple start the car up, 30 seconds of listening and yup pull it in lets get the work started, straight and to the point. A few hours later and my car was ready to go. more

Affordable! 9/12/2011

Very reasonable and honest. Took my BMW to Affordable Transmission because the fluid was black they recommended that I replace the transmission.They flushed it and filled it up with the expensive BMW transmission fluid and only charged me $125.00. they said sometimes on BMW's you just have to reset the code and they work fine. I've got 600 miles since taking it to Affordable Transmission.... so far so good! Thanks so Much.! more

Absolutely the best shop in Salt Lake City. They take care of my Land Rover and don't try to up sell on extra services that are not needed. If you own a vehicle and love it then only bring it here!! more

17 Great Reviews in One Month? 8/20/2011

These reviewers along with the others have been to the Same Dentist 22 times this month. Have had their hair done at the same hair salon 30 times and have bought over 20 automatic transmissions from both AAMCO and Affordable Transmissions along with 20 security systems for their house. Best prices 8/15/2011

My friend accidentally drained my transmission fluid during a routine oil change. So I brought my vehicle to Affordable Transmissions, I just wanted the best bang for my buck and that's why I brought my vehicle here...... they do very good work. They not only replaced the fluid but reprogrammed the electronics for me for free. Very quick, very willing to go the extra mile. more

Great Place ! 8/5/2011

Great place to take your car if you need work on your transmission. I gave them a call, and they were very respectful and professional. They gave me an awesome estimate for transmission work. The best part was it only took 1 day!! I just picked up my car today and it drives like its brand new again! Thank you so much !! more

Definitely a place that one can trust. I came here and I was pleasantly surprised to get very friendly service. I was explained the work and the charge on my car, not at one point did I feel like I was being cheated for my money. Awesome place. more
