Accent Properties

Nancy Harris and Gary Calderon at Accent Properties are dishonest real estate agents and principals. I rented a home from them and Nancy lied about the terms of the lease. She then wantonly put myself and my other housemates in serious danger due to rodent infestation and a leaking gas furnace, both which were never corrected. They are nasty and retaliatory bullies who abuse their powers and are irreverent of the local housing laws and codes. Stay Away! Do not trust Nancy Harris, document everything with return receipts on emails and other correspondence, original signatures and notaries, video and audio recording if necessary. Nancy Harris has a criminal record for DUI, and has evidenced that her tenants are not the only victims whose safety has been wrecklessly put in jeopardy by her irresponsibility. Accent properties is a stain on the good fabric of Boulder and karma will eventually catch up with them. This review is corroborated by numerous similar accounts published on google reviews, yelp, city search, scambook and the bbb for denver. Shame on you Accent Properties for perpetrating the abuses and causing the grief and harm to innocent victims who wanted nothing more that a peaceful existence. Your underhanded profit driven tactics are a disgrace to our community and we welcome the revocation of your license to do business. As always, let the market place be the trier of fact. more

Disappointed with the level of care of this property management company. They showed up unannounced too many times, disregarding professionalism and showed a seriously bad level of communication. Could not seem to take the right amount out of my rent check (taking out more than my rent was!) I also received complaints from my neighbors about similar issues. I will not rent from them again. more

Accent properties are a good property management company. They came at once when I had problems with a burst pipe. I find them friendly, efficient and helpful and was surprised to read negative comments. more

Accent Properties have been very good in taking care of my rental needs for the past five years. I rent one of their properties in North Boulder and the staff at Accent Properties have always taken the time to listen whenever I walk in or call over the phone. They are open to ideas and suggestions that help both the tenant and property. My experience with Accent Properties is that they care about where I live and how I live. Nancy and Gary have been great landlords t and I've rented with them for two years and just signed a lease for another. They've always been very nice, fixed maintenance problems on time, not much else to say really. Given the price of rental property in Boulder it's nice to deal with a company that seems to care about its tenants. more

Stay far away from this company, whether renting, buying or selling. I hired this company to manage my rental property. When an issue with the tenants couldn't be resolved the company wanted to bail out if their contract. The property manager and the one of the owners of the company would not follow through with property that was removed from the unit and never returned. They ended up costing me a fortune for a service that was less than professional. more
