Doc knew his stuff and adjusted me without pain. I'll go back if I need it. more

I don't really believe in ""alternative"" medicine or whatever, but I've had chronic headaches for years, and my wife finally nagged me enough that I went to her favorite clinic. My headache was gone after one adjustment and a session with the acupuncturist. Neither treatment hurt at all and neither doc told me I had to go all the time - just come back as needed. I've felt great for 2 weeks already but will go back if I every need to. Don't tell my wife she was right. more

I love the massages here! I saw two different massage therapists, one male and one female, and they were both really great. Maybe its because they work in a clinic rather than a spa, but I felt like they knew the muscles and trigger points better than most. I was a little sore the next day but I am definitely going back for more. more

After nearly a lifetime of what I called, normal everyday pain, a visit to Dr. Herb changed my perspective and my life. His hands on, gentle approach left me feeling much more relaxed than I believed I was capable of. I walked in with searing neck and shoulder pain, and he was able to not only manipulate my neck and back, but ease my muscles into calming down immediately. I will definitely be spreading the word to anyone that will listen, and look forward to my next appointment. There is a such thing as magic hands, and Dr. Herb has them, along with, of course, extensive knowledge of the entire human body and it's mechanics! more

Deborah, you rock! I don't know how you do what you do, but I feel so much better. And you were right that my husband said I looked taller when I got home. :) Definitely will tell my friends and fam.\r \r more

I've been to 2 other docs trying to figure out why I've been in so much pain and Dr. Herb figured it out first visit, had me feeling significantly better before I left, and almost completely better after 2 visits. And he didn't put me on ""come back 2 times a week for the rest of your life"" type plan like the last idiot. I recommend Dr. Herb hands down, particularly to those who have been frustrated at other clinics. more

Clinic is way bigger than it used to be. Love the new acupuncture room and they have way more equipment for physical therapy and rehab now. more

The idea of acupuncture really freaked me out but it didn't hurt! I've totally gotten over my fear of needles now and will definitely go back. more

Great massage. I feel way more relaxed and my back definitely loosened up. more

Love this clinic! I couldn't find a sitter and needed to get in because I'd woken up in a lot of pain. The staff fit me in THAT DAY even though they were busy, let me bring my kids in, and then kept my kids busy and happy with coloring books and the puppy they have at the clinic for my whole appointment. I feel so much better and am so grateful they were nice to my boys so they had fun. more

Clinic got me in same day even though they were busy. Even though they had to work me in between patients, I still didn't have to sit around all day and the doctor took time to answer my questions. more

Great staff. The insurance company has been giving me the run-around after my car accident like you wouldn't believe. The records and billing gal at Absolute Wellness Center helped me so much by calling them for me, figuring out what was going on, and explaining it to me way better than the idiots at the insurance company. Its nice to find a clinic that actually cares enough to help you out even when they aren't getting paid for that specific help. more

Doc was to the point and answered all my questions. The staff was friendly and I like the location right downtown. I've only been once, but they did a good job.\r more

Dr. Michael Herb took really good care of my mom. She is pretty fragile now due to her age and he was very gentle and careful with her and helped us a lot. He not only helped her pain on the day we went in, but he spent a lot of time with us and helped us determine which specialists to see next. Many doctors stop paying attention once they decide to refer you elsewhere, but he really cared. more

I'm in Cottage Grove, not Eugene, but Absolute Wellness Center is worth the drive. Dr. Herb spent plenty of time answering my questions and making sure I knew what I could do from home so I don't have to drive in multiple times a week. He knew exactly what was wrong with me and had me feeling better after only one session with another follow up the next week just to make sure it stuck. Now I only go to the clinic on an as-needed basis, but I have to say I do enjoy setting up a massage or acupuncture session when I know I'll be in downtown Eugene for business or some shopping. It's worth the drive to make sure you'll be taken care of well. more

Make sure you know how much you're paying upfront. I was told ""We'll bill your insurance"" when I asked during scheduling and again on the day of. I learned 3 months later that I was billed $185 for a 50 min acupuncture/massage session (where the therapist, Mary Ann Petersen, used cooking oil). My insurance paid $56 and I was responsible for the rest. No wonder why they dodged the fee question! I got the condescending ""It's very simple..."" explanation from Mary Ann when I asked. I swallowed my pride, paid the fee, and felt duped - especially so since I gave a large tip. Definitely not worth it and definitely not going back. On a positive note, the scheduling and billing staff were very nice. more

Dr. Herb was really cool and the office is right close to campus so it's easy to make it over for an appointment between classes. He was an athlete for years in martial arts, football, etc., so he know how to work with someone who wants to be at their peak performance. Also, he showed me how to do the majority of my rehab and exercises at home, which made it much, much cheaper and faster for me to get better after my injury. I would definitely recommend Dr. Herb to other student athletes. more

The staff and everyone are so friendly at Absolute Wellness Center! I've been going to the hospital recently and this clinic way more personal and they were really quick to help me figure out how much everything would cost, how to keep my costs down and still get the care I need, and what to expect with the whole billing process so there aren't surprises. Huge help around the holidays! So yea, definitely a place I would recommend to those who want friendly staff, a doc who really spends time with you and listens, but still not break the bank. more

I was in a lot of pain after an auto accident a few months. I couldn't work and was having a hard time sleeping. Thank goodness for Dr. Herb. He figured out what was wrong with my back in the first visit and got me right on a rehab plan that had me back to work within a week and I have almost no pain now. He still makes me do my exercises, but I don't know what I would do if I hadn't gone into Absolute Wellness Center. My wife found out that massage can be covered by our insurance so now she is in every few weeks. Absolute Wellness Center, Thank You! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 11/15/2012

I'm really happy with the changes I've seen at Absolute Wellness Center over the last year. The new doc, Dr. Herb is very thorough and friendly and he focussed on teaching me how to heal myself for a faster recovery. I saved a lot of time and money by learning the exercises to do at home and I feel a ton better already. I also like that the clinic is expanding to include physical therapy and acupuncture in addition to chiropractic and massage. This is definitely a place I would tell my family to go to the next time they need some help. more
