Yes, they're known for their burgers, but have really Great Onion Rings (breaded by hand). A must visit for any Beatles fan. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/7/2013

Used to be a favorite of mine, but the new owner raised both drink prices and food prices. The last time I was in, it was a ghost town at lunch time. When it had dive bar prices and a dive bar atmosphere, it was perfect. Now the prices are a lot higher, but the atmosphere is the same. Not sure how much longer I will continue to be a customer. more

Horrible service...food was average. Servers were too busy talking & texting to pay attention to needs of our table. They couldn't even make a suggestion of what was good to eat. Really?! The owner (or someone) needs to train the waitstaff and make them stay off their phones and attend to their customers. more

They get 5 stars for their burgers, 5/26/2012

They get 5 stars for their burgers, onion rings and prices on food and drinks. Bloody Mary bar on Sundays is a 5. Chicken wings are a 4. Any other food is about a 3 - thus the rating average of 4. Go have a burger and you'll be 5-star happy. Bar-restaurant side atmosphere is good, restaurant is dull. This is a Green Bay Packer club bar all through football season, so join them if you're a fan or work around it if you're not. more

Going Downhill FAST 12/28/2011

I don't know what has happened to this place but we ate there last night and it was horrible. Seems like the need a new cook in the kitchen. A Tuesday night was a bit crowded maybe but apparently the kitchen was ruining everyone's order. At another table all the medium burgers were well done. Our order was taking forever and we finally had to ask about it. We were told there were ""problems in the kitchen"". Well the medium burger we ordered also came out well done and missing the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle that was asked for. They seemed lost. We had to go pay at the bar. They are touting their new burgers but if they can't even cook the old ones I just don't know. Very disappointing and it will take a lot to get me to go back even though it's within walking distance of my house! more

Best Burgers hands down! 6/30/2011

The burgers are awesome! The staff is wonderful and the food is ALWAYS great. We have been dining there for over 10 years and have shared this hidden treasure with many folks. The daytime bartender, Erin, is one of the best in the area! She is always smiling, friendly and remembers what you'd like to drink! Our favorite server on the restaurant side is Courtney! She is fast, friendly and does a great job! \r The beer specials are great too!! :-) more

GREAT BURGER!!! CLASSIC MUSIC!!! 2/20/2011

I went to Abbey Road over the weekend and was so impressed by their burgers. Not only was the burger large and juicey but they actually cooked it the way I wanted it. The service was quick and friendly. The beer was cold. The classic rock music cannot be beat. Had a nice time and will go back soon. more

Pretty decent burger! 11/24/2010

I see that Abbey Road has gotten some pretty rough reviews recently, but I'm happy to report that my experience wasn't bad at all! We were seated promptly when we arrived, and a waitress came over to our table within a minute. We each ordered a beer, which also arrived promptly. For dinner I had the John burger, which has 3 different kinds of cheese. It took a little while for the burgers to be cooked, but they are handmade and cooked to order, so I was prepared to wait. The wait was only about 15 minutes I would guess. My burger was cooked medium-well, just the way I like my burgers. My only complaint was that the bun wasn't warm. The burger would have been 5 stars if the bun had been buttered and put on the grill briefly. Other than that, it was great. French fries were generic, but warm and tasty. My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Abbey Road. It is out of the way from our usual routes around the Triangle so we might never go back, but we won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else! more

Would not go back l 11/3/2010

In the distant past we had heard good things about this establishment and looked forward to trying them out. While we try to give most restaurants 2 trials, since anyone can have a bad day , we will not be going back for a second visit. Today the DR was cold enough to hang meat. I ordered a ""well done"" burger since I have had food poisoning in the past from under-cooked meat. The hamburger came out with a pink center. When I told the waitress she offered to put it back on the grill ( after I had taken a bite--not very sanitary) . Re-frying a hand-patted burger just adds insult to injury. Only after I refused did she offer to acquire a new burger. By then I was so frustrated that we left. I can recommend BB&Y in r Raleigh if you want a delicious hand made burger- roll or Barry's in Cary for a place with good burgers and breakfast. more

Very Disappointed 10/17/2010

We went to Abby Road at 6:30 on a Sunday evening. It took 20 minutes before someone took our order and another 30 minutes to be served a hamburger. The silverware had old dried up food on it. The server brought glasses to the table with his hands inside of the glasses. When they cleaned the table, the just scooped the food onto the floor and left it there. My husband loved the hamburger. I had a hard time eating wondering what the kitchen looked like. We will not be going back. This is a bar for college kids who like loud rock music. more

Good burger... 3/2/2010

I finally was tended to and got a burger... I hear about their burgers all of the time but after the terrible service I doubt I'll be back. Pros: Burger Cons: Service, waitstaff more

Great local bar 10/29/2009

Easily the best burger around! Also good is the humus appetizer and buffalo chicken sandwich. Great beer specials. It's smoky, but January will be here soon. Trivia is always fun on Wednesdays. Highly recommend this bar. more

Great menu Pros: good tunage Cons: starchy bread more

Amazing burgers - new owners made great improvements 7/25/2009

Been going regularly, weekend afternoon staff are excellent. Burgers are enormous and tasty. Best place in Cary for a veggie burger with a ceaser side for our vegetarian teen. Would love to see fresh battered fish on the menu but it's best fish n chips on offer in town. Amazing value as I can feed a lot of us for 2/3s the cost and get big tasty portions. Pros: best value - excellent prices Cons: need a door between bar & non-smoking more

I am the walrus 3/6/2009

The takeout orders have Red Gold ketchup in them. WTF??? It's bad enough they don't serve Heinz ketchup, but Red Gold is just silly. Chek Cola, Meisterbrau, and Presidents Choice can't be far behind. Pros: more Cons: less more

Great atmosphere - horrible service 10/2/2008

I went there for dinner the other night and the bartender ignored me for about 5 mins. when I tried to order my drink. Then after waiting about 10 mins. for my soup, (which I thought he had forgotten about) he said ""Oh - let me check. They might have left it in the microwave. This was on a Monday night, so it wasn't even crowded. I'll put my money into another bar, thank you. I refuse to be treated poorly when spending my money on food fare and tip. Pros: good atmosphere Cons: bad service more

Awesome burgers! 2/10/2008

The burgers at this place are amazing and affordable. I tried Abbey Road last week for the first time and was extrememly impressed with the kindness of the staff and the great food, and best of all it was affordable. We had two burgers and a couple beers, and the bill was only 25.00, this would have easily cost close to 40.00 at Red Robin and the quality of the food at Abbey road is much better. Everything is fresh, the burgers are big and juicy, and fresh. Ranch dressing is to die for. Portions are huge so bring your appetite or prepare for left overs. I was so impressed last weekend, we decided to go again this weekend but the experience wasn't as good. The food was still great but this little place doesn't have the man power for large crowds. I recommend and early or late meal. Pros: Great food, good price Cons: Don't have the man power for busy hours more

Best burgers in Triangle 12/31/2007

I frequent Abbey Road about 3 times a month and the burgers are amazing. What makes them better than others? - First of all they are made fresh and are not unthawed patties like most other places. Secondly when you ask for a burger medium - you get it medium!!! What a novel concept. Third, the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles used for toppings are fresh and make the burger much more flavorful. I recommend the Ringo with bacon for a burger. If your not in the mood for a burger than the ribeye steak sandwich is excellent. The beer is inexpensive relative to other places that I've been, they have a good beer selection and they actually have Labatt Blue on tap!!!!! Seating can be very tough to get especially on Fridays during dinner hours and the waiting area is very small so expect to stand if you don't get seating right away. I believe smoking is only allowed in the bar area as well. This is a great little authentic hometown bar/restaurant that can only be found here in the Triangle... its not found in 800 different other locations in the US. You won't find shrimp poppers, pizza shooters or extreme fajitas but what you will find is a great meal for a great price. Pros: Awesome burgers, good beer selection Cons: small waiting area more

Terrible Service 12/17/2007

After all the positive postings it was a very disappointing experience. Not family oriented, sevice in the Bar area is non-existant. I had the worst wings I've ever had. Pros: It wasn't crowded - go figure. Cons: Service is awful more
