For being a mechanic shop, I had a wonderful experience. The manager is extremely professional and helpful. He made sure I understood the whole process and answered any questions I had. My car is working perfect, but most importantly the quality of the customer service is way above the rest. more

I just moved here from New York, but to get down here I had to drive my '96 Tahoe. The truck has 250k and I had it serviced before I drove 1,700 miles down here, but I noticed some shifting problems before I left. I just hoped that I would make it okay. The closer I got to Houston the more I noticed my transmission acting up. I knew I had to take it in, but had no idea where since I am new to the area. I called a few shops and took it into to one, but did not like the feel of the shop or their customer service so I left. I ran across A Plus Transmission on my way to work and decided to stop by. I am so glad I did because my car is working like new and the service I received from the young man was superb. I told him what was happening and he explained to me what it could possibly be from but said they would have to take a look at it. Once they looked at it he told me what the issue was and what it would be to fix it. We went over paperwork and he explained everything to me in surprising detail. I was able to get a rental in the interim which allowed me to not miss any days at my new job. I am happy to know a mechanic shop in the area I can trust. more

Five star service all the way! From the moment I called to the moment I took my car in, I knew I was dealing with a true professional and someone who what he was doing. As a business owner myself, I always notice service...good or bad. Marshall took his time in explaining the process and made sure I was aware of the next steps. My car started acting funny and I was dreading taking it anywhere because I didn't want to be ripped off. I was recommended to this place by a friend who brought her car here a few months ago. I'm so glad I listened to her because my experience could not have been better. Not only was I invited to come in at look at what was wrong with my car, I was given a rental car as well. The manager also helped me get financing, which helped a lot. Just as my friend did, I recommend this place to anyone. It's also very clean, unlike most mechanic shops. more

I recently started having some delays in shifting in my 2001 Altima. After doing some online searching as well as calling the shops with good reviews, I decided to go with A+ due to the knowledge, friendliness and professionalism of the gentleman on the phone. I was even more surprised when I went in to the shop. It was very well kept and didn't have an automotive feel to it. He explained to me the process and I felt comfortable leaving my car at that shop. All in all I had a great experience, which was completely unexpected. I got my car back about 2 weeks ago and I haven't experienced any issues so far. more

My car started makin crazy noises and i was like i need to take it to get fixed. So i took it in because the shop is right by where i stay and this guy Marshall hooked it up. My car hasnt made no noise since then. I like this place it was professional, they dont tell you somethin and it be different when you go in. it was just what they said and it was clean and i think thats real important. they dont play no games and tell you what the deal is. more

Nothing bad to say about this place. The service was top notch and the manager really knew what he was talking about compared to two other shops I went to beforehand. I like the fact that they actually put in effort to find the problem before they start randomly replacing parts. I had a good experience like most others. Five stars for sure! more

The shop was real busy but they were still able to get to me in a reasonable amount of time. I thought my transmission was going out because it was kicking pretty hard in between shifts. Turns out I had a bad speed sensor that they ordered form the dealer and installed the next day in about 10 minutes. Very reasonable prices and it was good not having to deal with the B.S. I am used to hearing at other places. They told me they do everything, not just transmissions so I will be using this location for the majority of my car repairs for now on. Good shop and professional employees. Like many other reviews, I would rate my experience five stars and recommend to others needing repairs at a reasonable price. more

I was referred here by a friend who had her car repaired a few months ago because of the flood we had with all the rain. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the manager and workers in the shop, very knowledgeable. They didn’t just tell me what was wrong with my car and let all the names of the parts sound like rocket science to me, I appreciated that. They took the time to show and explain the entire situation and why my car was acting like it was. I even got to walk through the shop and watch the transmission builder guy working on another car which was pretty cool. I didn’t need any major work, just to fix a leak I was having and adjust a cable that was making my shifter not show the right gear I was in. I had a good experience and would recommend to others. more

I have a 2000 Lexus ES 300 which was kicking, shifting late, and would not go over 50mph. I took it to another transmission shop and had it rebuilt there. Needless to say, it was fine for about a month and after that I began to experience the same issues again. I called A+ and spoke with Marshall who was very polite and professional. I took my car in and they inspected it and were able to diagnose several issues with my vehicle, most stemming from the horrible rebuild that was previously done. Several fluid lines were not connected properly and it was not put back together as it should have been. A+ did an amazing job keeping me updated with the progress of my car and even got me a rental car. I have been driving my car for over two months and have not had any issues. GREAT SERVICE! I was very hesitant to take my car in anywhere because it's hard to find trustworthy mechanic shops these days. After reading reviews about A+ and the Bellaire shop in particular, I decided to take my car in to get inspected. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience at A+. Upon entering the store, I was immediately greeted by a friendly guy. He took a lot of time talking to me about what may be going on with my vehicle, but couldn't give me a definite answer without looking at the transmission, which only makes sense. During the inspection process, I was called several times by the manager who kept in the loop of what was going on with my volvo and was even invited to come to the shop to look at my car on the lift! I picked up my car after a week and must say I haven't had any issues come up. Thanks A+!!! more

My car had been making noises on and off for a couple of weeks as well as having slight shifting issues. I took my car into A+ to try and catch whatever the issue was before it got out of hand. I dealt with Marshall and WOW! He was beyond professional, knowledgeble and did everything he could to keep me updated and informed on what was happening with my vehicle. It ended up that I just needed some fluids changed and a tune up. I really appreciated the fact that I wasn't pressured to do any unnecessary work to my vehicle. That to me means more than anything. I would recommend A+ to my family and friends and furthermore, will bring my vehicle back if I ever have any other car troubles. more

If you read my title, this place writes all of their reviews to boost the rating from the terrible job they do. I took my car into this place for a simple differential rebuild and not only did it take 4 weeks to do a 5 hour job, they broke a 1000$ part and i had to replace it and then took my car elsewhere without paying them a dime. the manager marshall comes off very sly and shifty and their workers have no idea how to do work in a timely or quality fashion. they also will start taking anything apart they can just to add on profit for themselves. luckily i signed a quote to keep the price down. i was initially fooled by the 5 star ratings, but it is now obvious this place is complete trash and the owner and employees write the ratings that aren't 1,2,3 or 4 stars. there is an A1 transmission on the other side of the block that seemed to do honest work and if you go to A+ instead, you might as well prepare for the irresponsibility that comes with them more

Nice shop that works pretty quickly from what I’m used too. I was one of the unlucky people who were caught in the flood that happened a few weeks ago. I literally pushed my car to the front doors of the shop. Thank god it wasn’t more than a block or two, water was half way up my leg. Good thing I had full coverage insurance. I gave the manager Marshall my insurance policy number and he said he would take care of the rest. The adjuster was out two days later and my car was fixed by Saturday. That was relatively quick from compared to some of the other stories from other shops I heard about waiting over a week just to have an insurance adjuster come out and look at the car. They even changed my oil (just in case water might have got into the engine oil) and got my car cleaned. It’s the little things that count with me. I would highly recommend this shop to others. Everyone at the shop was extremely nice and thorough with their inspection of my vehicle. I have been to a few other shops before in which they simply road tested the car and took an educated guess what was wrong with it…that ended up costing me more money in the end. A Plus Transmission took the time to actually put my car on the lift, do numerous tests and then invite me out to inspect their findings. I appreciate when someone takes the time to explain things instead of assuming I already know what some of these car parts are. They corrected the issues I was having with the transmission and even changed the oil on my engine at the same time. It is rare to find a shop that operates on this level anymore. Thank you to the manager and the courteous employees for their hard work, it was much appreciated. Five stars from me! more

I brought my 2007 Toyota Corolla in because I was having some pretty bad issues the dealership said was the transmission. Of course the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg to get it fixed there so I started looking for reputable shops that could do the work for a fair price. A friend at work had their transmission done at A plus Transmission on Bellaire about three years ago and said it still drives great. When I called the shop to explain my situation and how the car would barely even go now since I had been driving it out of necessity with the problems I was having, the manager told me not to worry they would have a wrecker pick the vehicle up from my house and put me in a rental at no charge until the vehicle was repaired. It took about 2 days to fix the transmission and they even fixed an oil leak I had been struggling to find because it was staining my driveway. All in all it was a good experience considering how mad I was about my car breaking down in the first place. Like many other comments here, I would recommend this place to a friend. more

I just want to tell everyone about what a wonderful experience I had with Marshall and A+ Transmission in Bellaire. First of all, I was given a tour of the shop upon arrival. It is very clean and smells good, which I found surprising for a mechanic shop. I was then given step by step details of the process, so I knew exactly what to expect during the repair of my car. After I dropped my car off, I was given a ride back to my house, complementary. Marshall called me every day, sometimes twice a day to notify me ont he progress of my vehicle. He worked really hard to get me the best deal on parts to help lower the cost. I dropped my car off on Monday and it was ready on Friday. I picked it up on Saturday...Marshall stayed late on Saturday so that I could pick it up when I got off work. He really went above and beyond what I expected from a mechanic shop. Customer service is superb and so is the mechanical work. I have been driving my car for 3 weeks and have not noticed anything wrong with my vehicle. A+ is my #1 for all future car repairs. My overall experience with this shop and the manager Marshall was great although it took a day longer than expected to complete; When I did get my car it was driving great. I went to the Acura dealership before hand to get a quote on repairs and it was absolutely absured what they were charging. I recomend anyone thinking about getting their car fixed to check with A plus Transmission first before you waste money somewhere else. Good people, clean shop, great price....nead I say more.\r \r I was reading a few other reviews and I was not surprised at how many other good reviews there were. My only question is to who this Jaime guy is some people with negative reviews keep mentioning? I asked Marshall and he did not know either. My only advice is only deal with a gentleman named Marshall, he took care of me and told me he would do the same for my friends and family. That is a true professional, thanks!\r \r more
