I love A Child's Academy for my son. He looks forward to going to school everyday. Ivan has learned a lot this year and the teachers are very involved and attentive.

I gave two stars becuase while i do like the facility alot, I believe the tution is a bit unfair. Unfair in the aspect that they may be open for two days but charge the full rate....

FIVE stars for the infant teacher that they fired and zero stars for the people that run this business. I have had nothing but problems since starting this daycare. I have never been so happy to leave a childcare business ever. The only reason I stayed for the year that I did was because my baby started here when she was 6 weeks old and I really liked the lady in her room and felt she was in good hands. After this lady left so did we! So, they require you to have your bank info on file, this is because they require a 30 day notice in order to withdraw your children from their facility. If you do not give the notice they Will continue to charge your account. I gave the 30 day notice in August. When the last week of care was approaching I asked what was owed so I could confirm the zero balance with them. They stated to me the last day for the care was the following week not the current week (which was the 30 days and was confirmed by them in email) I told them this was wrong and my child would not be there. They made me show them the email confirming this (which I did). They acknowledged this and confirmed the zero balance. The next week I see a charge on my account for my child that no longer attends there. I disputed this with my bank and they refunded the money. A month goes by and I am contacted again from A Child's Academy saying I owe them over $300. No one has yet to explain how this can be to me. I paid the same amount week after week for a year, was I paying a dollar less than I was supposed to everyday for a year? I have yet to have someone explain this to me. I'm just expected to pay this without an explanation. Do not take you kids here unless you do not care if you are double billed or billed after your child had been withdrawn for phantom fees no one will explain. On another note, they wrote my daughters name on the spout of her sippy cup with permanent marker. Which she continually sucked off which they continually reapplied. Why would anyone think this would be acceptable? more

tution 12/17/2014

I gave two stars becuase while i do like the facility alot, I believe the tution is a bit unfair. Unfair in the aspect that they may be open for two days but charge the full rate. So I'm forced to pay them and they aren't open, then pay someone else as well because I have to work. 200$ for two days then 90$ for them to be watched the other three by someone else. I can see if it were my choice not to bring them and they were open because they are taking a spot that another child could be using and paying for, however i CAN'T see why I'm paying for days they aren't open for my child to attend. more

Do not give them debt or credit info 9/30/2014

My 9 year old son went to A Childs Academy for two weeks this Summer while he was staying with his mother. His mother picked this location and signed him up for the summer program. She could not afford enrollment or tuition because she was a little behind financially. I decided to help her out and made a couple of payments over the phone. After two weeks she decided that she could not afford to keep him financially so he came home. 3 months later, without any warning, or notification they auto drafted my account for $375.00. I never signed any documents nor did I give them permission to auto draft my account, but they did it anyway. I've called them 4 times over the last 3 days trying to explain my situation. Although the staff who answered the phone was very friendly, they continued to tell me that I would need to speak to their booking department. I asked to speak them immediately, but they were not in the building. I asked for their schedule, and they informed me that they did not have one. I finally spoke with the booking department (Barbara). She said she would look into it and call me right back. Barbara never called back, and it took me calling them 3 times, the following day, to get her on the phone, because she doesn't have a schedule. This time she informed me that she would need 24 hours to investigate this. I said I would be up there the following day to discuss this in person and she said she would call the police on me if I did. All together I paid over $750.00 for my son to attend this summer camp for 2 weeks. And she's going to call the cops on me? I highly recommend you seek other options for Child Care more

Simply The Best 9/13/2011

I love A Child's Academy for my son. He looks forward to going to school everyday. Ivan has learned a lot this year and the teachers are very involved and attentive. more

Kindergarten Ready 8/31/2011

The biggest benefit of A Child's Academy is the academics for the 3 & 4 year olds. I can see the stark difference between my older child, who went to O2B, and my younger child who is attending A Child's Academy. It has been such a struggle with my older child and now my younger child has such a hunger for learning things. I wish I could go back in time. more

Caring and Loving Environment 8/25/2011

A Child's Academy came recommended to my family and it has such a caring and loving environment. I feel safe about dropping my little boy here and I know that he is happy. My son loves the big park or the castle for anyone that knows the school. One of the biggest benefits has been the peace of mind I have when dropping my son off everyday. more

I Love the Academy 8/10/2011

We have switched from Kidsworks and the difference is amazing. I love the academy. My son has learned more in 6 months than he did before in 2 years. I have a strong feeling that he will definitely be ready for the school years ahead now. more

Great Christian Based Education 8/1/2011

I love that A Child's Academy has helped Michael be more responsible with things such as doing his homework and bringing his folder to class every day. He has become more involved in doing things around the house to help me out because of it. Thank you A Child's Academy! more

Wonderful Caring Preschool 7/30/2011

What I love most about A Child's Academy is the Christmas Programs Mothers & Fathers Day lunches Thanksgiving programs for Parents. My daughter has learned to say grace before all our meals. Doing learning activities during daycare hours instead of just play (like a previous school we went to). My child is 3 and they already have her reading writing and couting. more

I Love It Here 7/7/2011

All the teachers are very caring and attentive to my children's needs. We love the amount that she has learned here! We really did not expect our children to learn so much here after our previous experience with O2B. more

Wonderful Teachers 6/30/2011

I am a Public School Teacher 6/17/2011

My children have been attending A Child's Academy for 10 years! The staff at ACA works very hard to ensure that each child learns and is cared for. It is well known in the public system that the best prepared kids come from ACA. All 3 of my children have thrived academically because they had their first learning experiences at ACA! more

Staff is meticulous about cleanliness... 6/13/2011

I am very pleased with A Child's Academy. It was very important for me to find a safe, Christian, stimulating environment for my child and it has been that to her since enrollment 2008. The parking lot and entrance left me wondering a little, but once you meet the people and see how they conduct everything, your worries leave immediately. more

I am confident my daugher is prepared for Kindergarten 6/3/2011

What I like best about the child care experience at A Child's Academy is that teachers are dedicated and consistent with the pre-school curriculum. I am confident my daughter, Anna is prepared for Kindergarten. My favorite part of my child's day with A Child's Academy is the morning in which the classroom is learning to recite our National Anthem. Also, I am appreciative the students are learning to sing the Star-Spangled Banner and America, the Beautiful. I believe my child, Anna is learning the value of our rich American culture that will remain as she matures and continues her education. School Readiness (Kindergarten) is the greatest benefit Anna is receiving by being enrolled at A Child's Academy(ACA). I am confident that Anna will be prepared for Kindergarten. I am so pleased that the teacher always has control of the classroom. Students have learned to respect the classroom as a learning environment. I would certainly recommend ACA to new parents. The teachers are competent and experienced. I believe by enrolling my child in the ACA pre-school program my child will have a better future. more

Not a Run of the Mill Daycare, truely is an Academy 5/24/2011

As parents your top priority is your child?s health, safety and happiness, so picking a place to care for your child when you can?t is terrifying! Before enrolling our daughter, Helena, we researched the local ?daycares? and visited the top two. Obviously, our choice was ACA and we have been very pleased with our decision more

Our Daughter refused to eat veggies before attending ACA 5/17/2011

Our daughter hasn't attended A Child's Academy very long but already we've seen major difference in her excitement to learn. What we really love about ACA may seem like a very small matter but it's really important to us, is the nutritional meals provided. more

ACA makes the transition of a baby from home to daycare possible 5/9/2011

When she is at ACA, it feels like Alice is at home at her second address. All the teachers at ACA are loving, caring, and comforting our children meticulously which makes ACA a big strong and unique family. more

Safe and Secure 5/5/2011

Our family has had 2 kids and over 7 years at this school. We tried O2B and Kidsworks and they were aweful. A Child's Academy better prepared our kids, taught them better manners, and also a great foundation with their christian based curriculum. I couldn't have asked for anything better. more
