I sure hope they try to kick this place up a notch again. As an east side resident, I have been dining here since they opened but the food is just not as good as it used to be. Still a thousand times better then the chain Panda Express down the street, but I hope they make whatever changes are needed to improve their quality. I've been at 888 several time and i gotto say its seriously a good chinese place. I usually go the Lai Lai dumpling house but i decided to try this place...it not the most inviting place on the outside but it completely changed once youre inside...its relatively small but they make it work. the service is good most times. the food i REALLY good. what ever it is you order, i guarantee is going to be nothing less than good. I dont personally drink but you im sure you can get all sorts of different drinks judging by the big bar they have near the entrance. Ive read people say its crowded at lunch...well ive been there twice for lunch and ive gotten a seat with no wait, maybe i just lucked out. the lunch special is REALLY good for the price. overall i love this place, its cozy, its got great food, and its always a pleasant experience. They have great lunch special. I usually ordered to go from their Chinese menu. I love everything I tried so far. My husband loves their General Tao chicken. Great fried rice too. It can get pretty crowded during lunch. Pros: Food, service Cons: crowed during lunch time more

The food here is fantastic! I order delivery from here at least once a month because the prices are great and the portions are generous. My personal favorite is the Beef with Asparagus. Their attention to detail is phenomenal, they even cut their carrots length-wise (the correct way)!\r The seafood soup has a latin flavor, reminds me of the soup my mom makes.\r Highly recommended! I highly recommend any dish with garlic sauce. I've convinced several people to go there who don't think highly of chinese food and they like it and have returned. This is not your typical americanized chinese food, e.g. PeiWei or PF Changs, this is the real thing. Everything is fresh. No mystery meat either. Waitstaff and owners are all friendly. I will add that sometimes it is crowded but the wait is worth it. Prices are all very reasonable especially for such high quality food. I really like this place. My favorite item on the menu is the traditional Sweet and Sour Chicken. I never can eat the whole thing and I end up having some left over for later. I also like to get the large Wonton soup. It's enough for two meals and it only costs $2. That's a great bargin. They give you a good portion of food for your money. I get this stuff delivered a good amount. I've probably ordered from them about a dozen times or so. The delivery is always fast, the food is always hot and good and the prices aren't bad. The waitstaff is friendly and the manager and what not will go out of there way to make you happy. Today I ordered from them and it got made wrong, but I ate some anyways (two plates of it). Then I called them and told them my story (to the acting manager) and about 10 mins into the convo we got disconnnected. To my shock about 5mins later the acting manager called me back and agreed to have two new orders delivered to my house. Great service considering it was 2+hrs later when I called to complain.
