When I had to leave a message I received a call back within minutes. I am very satisfy with the promptness of service. The merchandise was as described in the ad. The salesman (Ralph) was very friendly, very knowledgeable of the product I needed, offered excellent assistance without having to ask for, and he recognized my voice and name when I call and I didn't have to remind him what I was trying to purchase. I bought a Nikon D5500 from 42nd Street Photo. I asked Michael from the sales team a few questions the day before my purchase. He answered all my questions and did not leave anything out as far as no memory card, as I saw the camera body listed bare bones. I liked his manner, professionalism, friendliness, and no pressure whatsoever. He even said if I wasn't comfortable with not getting a card, to think about it before making a decision. I said ok and I did my homework about the memory card that night. I called him back the next day and it was great. He was happy to hear from me and that I decided to buy the camera and upgraded 5 year Warranty (accidental drops, etc.). I know there are tons of companies in Internet land, and they all try to wheel and deal and throw this and that in. What I liked is that 42nd Street Photo has been in business a very long time and their reputation shows it! I like that Michael told me everything I needed to know in detail. Tried to purchased an item from them in store. They pretended not to know the price and went to the computer to ""look up"" the price. I saw in the mirror they were using B&H's website, not theirs. I walked away.\r \r I went back a few months later to purchase another item (impulse buy). When I went home, I found out they charged less for the same item on the website. I called them up and they said I need to go to the store. Fine. I went to the store and asked for a refund/store credit. The first time I went back, they say I need to talk to Jack. Fine. The second time I went back, Jack still was not there but another salesman I spoke to said I could get a 15% refund when I talk to Jack. He also said the ""online model"" is a export model and not US. Fine. I went home, called Sigma, and they said there is no different export or US-only model. I went back to the store the THIRD time, still no Jack, but I found the original salesman who sold me this item. He would not look me in the eye. He said no refunsd, no exchanges, no store credit, and accused me of trying to take advantage of them.\r \r Bunch of crooks. Do not ever do business with them. more

I bought Nikon 18-55mm VRII kit lens. This was the lowest price for a new lens I had found. It arrived way before I had expected. The lens is as described. I do not see any scratches or dents. The cap on the back is white instead of black.But I assume all kit lens have white caps. I am happy with the purchase. more
