2010-10-01 Just bought Triode™ Headlamp. It did not work out of the box. The battery holder didn't touch the other circuitry keeping the lamp out of power.
I bent the battery holder clip and lamp started to work. Downside is that battery does not fit in properly anymore. Poor mechanical design Can't blame the chinese manufacturers for that.
And too bad that lifetime warranty does not include design. The material and workmanship is included but this isn't either case.
Otherwise the circuitry is ideal giving light with only one 1.5V battery - if you get it running.
